I don't like the fact that I didn't know what the shipping charge was until I paid for my purchase. It was almost as much as what I purchased!

They made a mistake with the model of guitar I recieved but they gave me a solution quickly.
The guitar kit has very goog quality and the Guitar Fabric team has been very kind.

Since last Wednesday when I placed the order I am still awaiting confirmation that the DIY kit has been sent. Which means there's no way to receive it within just several working days as stated in the site

Si no tienes experiencia y tienes herramientas de carpintero, estos kits no te valen. Están medio acabados y las instrucciones son poco claras.

I had in remind to renew my old Epiphone Guitar. As I never pratice any wood working, I sent some questions to the website. the team sent me a lot on information and advise, considering my color target and the wood of my guitar. I am really satisfied with the result. The alcool dye colors are really easy to use, even a sunburst is made in a few hours.

Quality and Velocity. The bulding Manual ist very good. Neck and Body are beautifull. Thank you.

Absolutely no issues with the product (so far) and delivery to Canada was days ahead of schedule. My kit instructions were in French but the company resolved it within minutes. I am just about to start sanding now. Down the rabbit hole I go . . .

I'd been looking at the Guitar Fabric's kits for awhile and finally decided to bite on their Rickenbacker bass kit because it's not the time to be making sawdust in a cold, wet British rear yard.

Ordered on a Tuesday, it was shipped from their France depot on Wednesday, and it arrived in my hands on Friday morning of the same week. That's pretty impressive.

There was a little confusion over the import charges - I was notified by SMS from the carrier that charges needed to be paid on the order. That was before the team at GF had accessed their emails that day - GF wait for notification from the carrier/handler and then their accounts department pays any charges on your behalf if they've been assessed.

I spoke to one of the GF team on phone and via email and it was resolved very quickly in a friendly manner - they stated that they know it's not the ideal way to deal with customs charges and they're looking into options.

Really can't fault their service. The kit itself has a couple of concerns but I can resolve those as a fairly experienced builder. They're pretty much the same kits as Leo Jaymz, Pango and others, made in China but the essential core parts (body and neck) are well made with woods and construction that's way better than most of the stuff you'd find on eBay or Amazon, and decently prepped - the hardware and electronics are so-so, the machine heads are usable, the pickguard is pretty shoddily cut, but I'd already decided to ditch most of those parts so won't mark them down on that. The headstock is exactly the correct dimensions to shape yourself in a certain way, if you catch my drift...

The kit comes with a detailed 14 page guide on finishing and assembly. It's probably not completely suited to a beginner but it's certainly useful as an aide-memoire.

Overall, would definitely buy from Guitar Fabric again and would recommend them to others with a couple of minor caveats. Go in with your eyes open and you may be pleasantly surprised.
