We only have one aim, to give savers direct access to, or allow trustees, employers and providers to provide tools their pension savers need, to improve their retirement outcomes. Put simply, there are plenty of tools which tell pension savers if they take A each year, earn B returns, their pots will last for C years. For almost everyone these offer no practical help, as nearly everyone has other income or savings to put towards retirement. Included in these are State Pensions, Final Salary pensions, ISA savings and part time work for example. Some of these are taxable, some are not. Our tool is the only fully holistic planning tool that can be used directly by individuals without expert input. Really neat financial planning tool…
Really neat financial planning tool which can be used to create an initial retirement plan with graphical representations.
Best of all it’s free and can be updated/adjusted for different scenarios, giving the most tax efficient method of drawdown.
Something which is important to me, is it only requires basic information, like sex, current and retirement age. It does require an email address, but only if you want to save the plan and download a copy.
It even does some stress testing, considers sequencing risk, and gives options to resolve, which is all pretty neat. About the only problem I have with it, is the assumed level of inflation of 2.5%, which can’t be adjusted.
Highly recommend.

The user interface and workflow were intuitive. I wanted to be able to have more control over how long I wanted the income to grow. 75 or life was too limiting

Many thanks for the review pleased you like other than the income point. We try to keep it simple so the three shapes, flat, increasing for life, increasing to 75 plus the ability to add some extra for a number of initial years usually provides everything needed simply. However if you want a more bespoke income, you can always change any year in the chart individually if wanted.

Fantastic tool
Having looked for a pension drawdown calculator and found nothing that wouldn't require a callback or similar, I've finally found this. What a fantastic tool to get basic (and maybe not so basic) projections. I don't understand the minority of more negative reviews complaining it doesn't do more - as far as I can see that's not the point, even though Guiide say they're going to develop the site. If I need more in depth financial advice and planning I chat to my IFA. In the mean time I'm going to enjoy playing with figures and scenarios, seeing what I hoped was in my head confirmed and displayed on graphs! Thanks for a useful tool.

Guiide provides me with a useful tool for retirement planning without the need for specialist knowledge or fees.
Guiide provides me with a straightforward, easy to understand tool through which I can gain confidence over my retirement preparations.
The sections of the questionnaire are well presented and lead the user through to a very useful summary, with the ability to assess different scenarios.

Excellent modelling tool
It was great to find a professionally put together retirement modelling tool which was not only free at point of use but also came with very responsive feedback to a query on usage. Well done guys. I have been a software developer for over 40 years and this is a winner :)
