Had a stain on the cushion. Emailed gaurdsman and had an appointment within a week. Mark the technician arrived on the date and time arranged and even gave us a call to let us know he was on his way, he was very polite and professional and cleaned the whole cushion. Very satisfied

The process took forever, and even when the technician came and inspected the furniture we were told the company will take care of us because he couldn’t fix it and it is bad. Months later I got a response in the email saying that it was debit for “wear and tear”. Unacceptable, that isn’t wear and tear, a table that is breaking.

The absolute worst company and experience in the entire world. We got suckered into buying this protection plan with the promise of full coverage no questions asked. Once we filed a claim, they sent us a free cleaning kit. We tried it and it didn’t work so we moved to the next step, which was sending out someone to clean the stain. ironically, after we did this, their email went into my spam folder. when I called for an update, they informed me that the email had probably gone into my spam folder and i had missed the reply-by cut off date. I explained that none of their other emails had gone into my spam folder and I didn’t think to look in there because of that. They wouldn’t even give me the time of day. Now the claim is closed and they will not budge with it. What an absolute joke.

Bad. Called with time of arrival, 20 min late had wrong address and moved onto next person (9:30 am). After ineffective communication, tech returned at 3:30 pm and refused to clean ottoman and the OUTSIDE of the chair. Wanted to charge around $140. We declined. We received a bill for $70. Do not call these people.

I paid $599 + tax for a completely worthless Guardsman protection plan for an expensive leather sectional sofa.
They refused to address a stained armless section and said the stretched out unsightly leather was normal wear and tear. Completely useless plan

The process to actually claim is purposefully difficult and you need to jump through many ridiculous hoops and answer the same questions over and over again all just to be told no in the end. Honestly save your money and just hire a professional if needed. It will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Our then 1 year old boy scribbled over part of our 5 month old sofa in Biro and we have Guardsman protection - Guardsman will not repair the damage as they say it was done over a period of time and allowed to accumulate before reporting… the pen marks are clearly the same pen and it’s obvious to anyone that it was done in the same incident. I have since reported Guardsman to The Financial Ombudsman and we are awaiting their next steps. I am also currently going through a complaint and investigation with DFS, as we purchased the insurance with Guardsman through them, and DFS are investigating the case.
If you read other reviews you will find an almost identical complaint to ours time and time again… avoid this company.

The protection plan does not honor what I need.It's a big scam and a rip off.I paid a lot of money for Nothing.They tell you to submit a claim and then they Don't honor it. They always find a reason not to do what you have already paid for. I don't know how this company is still in business.I've asked for a refund and even that is a hassle.They just want get out of what's not theirs. That's why they want the money up front.

Their MO is delay, put off, and never keep the customer updated. I wait weeks, call, get on a queue, call gets dropped. A tech finally came out after over 2 months, another 2 weeks and no contact. I'll never buy a protection plan from them again. Such poor communication from them, so long for them to make a decision. Going on 3 months since I reported the problem, still not resolved, yet if you don't give them all the info they ask for within 30 days of the incident they'll close your service request. I asked for a call back, they used their number to call me.

We bought a fairly expensive dinning table from Ethan Allen and bought Gaurdsman's protection plan. After several times of contacting them, they send someone with a marker to fix a scratch. Once done it was more obvious. We contacted them several times and someone came took picture to fix the table yet no one followed. It is a total scam.

Put in a claim 2/24 for a screw that fell out of recliner & also the remote stopped working. After several phone calls I made, they finally got the parts in end of Nov 2024 & gave us a new remote(which I could have ordered & received in 1 day on Amazon for $39.00.)& supposedly fixed where the screw fell out.
3 months later the new fixed screw came loose again (not fixed the first time) & chair is lopsided due to frame not attached. When I called to report the screw came loose again, they said sorry-not reported in appropriate timeframe (you have 5 days after repair finished). So I’m out a recliner that I can’t sit in & money for the warrantee..waste of money

Shitty company recommended by a well known furniture company. Never ever use them they don’t care.

I brought a lounge from a retail store and was told to get the 5year WTY I needed to buy the Guardsman Cleanibg kit so I did. I sprayed my lounge as instructed before use. I then got a mark on my lounge so I followed the instructions. Once dry I saw there was a patch like a bleach mark this was caused by the cleaning product. I did everything I took photos contacted Guardsman and now I’m waiting 4mths for just a replacement cover. I find this ridiculous that I am having to Wait 4mths for a replacement cover it took only three weeks to get my whole lounge delivered. The company sell the covers why have they not gone to the seller and just have it sent it was there product that caused this issue.

Don't bother they're a scam...seek a trusted independent if your committed to getting insurance for your furniture.. only after I couldn't get them to honor our damage claim did I search up and find all the 1 star and bad reviews. Will be complaining to the ACCC not that I think anything will be done about it

Absolutely rubbish a con company who don’t even care about customers issues given their 5 years warranty or so called warranty from equally useless company DFS who are so stupid for linking up with this utter rubbish and complete waste of time and money ( DFS so desperate for customers and sales that they pathetically ignore customers questions and sales staff also fail deliberately to notify customers as what their 5 year warranty actually covers!) I would not even give this cowboys a star as they have failed to respond to my claim a week ago, do not buy any sofas again from cowboys like DFS who were once a good company but who ever owns the company now has reduced the business to zero quality level!

I feel as if I was tricked into buying this coverage by salesman at Care. Not happy at all. THIS IS A RIPOFF

If i could give less than one star i would, do NOT waste your money supporting this rip off of a company. They will NOT cover anything regardless of what their plan says or you are told. Read all the reviews and see they back this one up. Total rip off and scam. I wish the criminal activity would be stopped as it is fraudulent to say the least.

scam company wont repair my 4 year old leather recliner from dfs as the dye comes out had this is a problem from new told not covered by insurance avoid this company and dfs as there goods are faulty
