FREE for Life!!! Don't Believe It!

On Groove.cm website/opening page "Run Your Entire Business Free for Life." I went thru the sign-up process and had to wade thru several paragraphs trying to get me to upgrade to PRO account. Declined offer. Sent to "Success Page" which reads "Success. Groove Free Member 30 Day Trial Starts Now" In what universe does a 30-day free trial = "Run Your Entire Business Free for Life." Do you really want to trust anything else they claim in their advertising?

Fraudulent seller

Fraudulent seller. I purchased an item for £29.99. Groov-e billed me for £47.70. The item was returned within 7 days of the purchase to the vendor. However I noticed the payment was taken out of my account as for £47.70 not £29.99. When this was flagged with the seller I was told the item was purchased more 30 days ago. They have refused to refund. Do not buy from Groov-e

Groove is Great!

I've been with Groove a long time. I found building a website quite easy and I was able to find videos online which helped and I've attended some of their live trainings which have been fantastic.

Some of the softwares had a couple of issues but like with anything else new, the teething problems had been fixed.

I now run my memberships and products from groove and moved over my other sites to groove.

Easy to do.

Now Mike, Matt and the Team are building even more products with the new scale plus and gave lots of us previous lifetime backers some of them for free!

I don't underpants the negative reviews as people knew they were 'backing' new products and hence why they got them at a cheaper price?

Beta is a word used for a reason!

I have been using groove for not just myself but a number of clients and it's been a lifesaver.

An all-in-one business platform.

The future of groove/scaleplus looks very bright!

Remove the bad apples out of hundreds of thousands of good ones!

No customer service

I signed up for their Courses.gg. I didn't use it initially, and when I recently signed on, I couldn't find any tutorials or any method to contact anyone (the email just bounced back). I don't even know if it's actually up and running, or if it's possible to get my money back?

Disappointing Experience with Groove CMS

My experience with Groove CMS has been overwhelmingly frustrating. The platform is riddled with bugs that severely disrupt workflow and functionality. From broken templates to unreliable integrations, it feels like nothing works smoothly.

What's even worse is the lack of support. Reaching out for help feels like shouting into a void—no timely responses, no effective resolutions, and zero accountability. For a product positioned as a robust CMS, Groove fails to deliver even the basics.

In its current state, I cannot recommend Groove CMS to any serious business. If stability and reliable customer service are important to you, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Disappointing Experience

Extremely buggy and frustrating to use. I attempted to set up a profile, build a website, and create sales funnels, but the platform was consistently slow and unreliable.

There is little to no onboarding, training, or accessible support to help new users navigate the system. The so-called “free” offer is misleading and feels more like a tactic to lock users in rather than provide real value.

Not glowing

I am updating my review. I was very frustrated with the lack of acknowledgement after initially receiving a reply to my request. I sent multiple messages with no response. All they had to do was acknowledge it and update me. Not hard. My review here, which was initially the result of severe frustration, got their attention and they responded and have said they will resolve my issue. That is a positive and makes some amends. I mentioned previously that they charged $700. To clarify this was AUD so I wasn’t overcharged and I wasn’t implying that either. The frustration was not just to do with this issue, it was a result of poor response times and what seemed like a broken support portal over the years and a product/service that did feel like it has never got out of beta as others have suggested. There were also parts of what was marketed that felt misleading from how it worked.

Hello Mr. Gillespie,

We’ve carefully reviewed your recent comments and your account activity, and we would like to address a few key points for clarity and accuracy:

The amount charged to your account was not $700. You were charged $497 USD for the renewal of your annual membership, consistent with the terms agreed upon at the time of your original enrollment.

Advance notice of the upcoming charge was sent via email, as is standard procedure for all renewing accounts. These notices serve to inform customers and allow them time to cancel if they choose not to continue. You did not cancel prior to the renewal date May 25th 2025.

You contacted us two days after the charge was processed, at which point your request was received, acknowledged, and escalated for processing. By the same day on the 27th of May One of our agents confirmed this in writing.

Your membership has since been canceled, and your refund is being processed in accordance with our policies. 4 to 7 days in some cases, Please note that international refunds may take longer to reflect due to processing times with foreign banks and card issuers—this is beyond our control but we do monitor it closely.

We understand and respect that some of our members may be experience financial hardships, as stated in your cancellation request, and we do our best to handle such requests with urgency and care. However, we ask for the same level of fairness in return by ensuring statements made—public or private—are factual.

To that end, we respectfully request that you correct the inaccurate statement regarding a $700 charge, as this may be construed as a defamatory misrepresentation of our billing practices. We retain full transaction logs and communications that support the timeline and amount involved.

We remain committed to resolving this issue as soon as possible. If you require further documentation or have any concerns, please do let us know.

They cancel your account when you cancel. But you can only message useless support inside the account. The useless support doesn't answer separate emails

Do NOT buy Groove!

I am a lifetime member and while I won't regret it for a lifetime (they're not worth such consideration), I would definitely advise anyone considering this platform to SAVE YOUR MONEY, FIND AN ALTERNATIVE. One person here recommended High Level and I'm signing up for their free trial.

I have very little to add to the existing negative reviews here; they have nailed many of the problems I've encountered. But here are 4 things you should keep in mind:

1. The platform appears to have NEVER come out of beta, while the founder rushed off to push new products on unsuspecting customers.

2. Complaints from lifetime members who put their trust in the founders and the services that were being promised are roundly ignored and now PUBLICLY pilloried by the founder because they dare complain! There are no words.

3. Every time you log in, there is less and less available to you, which is a sign of a company that couldn't care less how they treat their existing customers who helped to build their company from day one. Why on Earth would they give two hoots about new ones?

4. Customer service is now non-existent. I have a month-old ticket with no response. You sit on the Chat bot waiting for a response and it seems hell will freeze over sooner.

Again, please, please, take your business and hard-earned money elsewhere! You -- and I -- deserve much better!

CEO just called us cockroaches on Youtube

I just watched the "Groove State of the Groovion Update - May 2025" on Youtube and I am disgusted.

At 13 minuten and 20 seconds he called a lot of us, the customers who paid him thousands of our dollars for software that still NOT work, "COCKROACHES!"

I'm one of the 200 cockroaches Mike bragged about banning from the company's official facebook group because we gave him critique he did not like.

Maybe it's time those cockroaches come together and sue you for false advertising and lying to customers for the last six years!

-- Groove has asked me if I wanted to update my review. -- Gladly!

I want to add that I fully stand by my review, and that I will not be bullied by your intimidation tactics.

Myself and hundreds of others were called cockroaches on the 2025 State of the Groovion. Check the timestamp.

Furthermore, the most recent notification of software updates is of 4 MONTHS AGO.

The only comments left in the FB group are positive comments giving praise to Mike and Groove. Any criticism or genuine requests for answers doesn't even get approved. As a result the group is now a wasteland. Congratulations!

The CEO has boasted since early 2024 that we as customers need not worry, that Groove was financially sound. and doing well!

Yet, when push comes to shove you have to admit on your broadcast that it was all a lie and that you are $700K in debt!

Also on the Groove login page you mention "1,000,000 entrepreneurs use Groove", yet there are only 150,000 users in your group, and most of them free from the early days. Also, if 1 million users WOULD indeed be using Groove, you would not be in debt at all.

Maybe you just like to nudge the facts once in a while and "mistakenly" count all of the free "lifetime" accounts, which you reneged on your promise on last year and basically DEACTIVATED them and forced to upgrade to a paid plan.

Or, what about the threats inside the FB group that anyone who criticized could not only be kicked out of the group but users better behave or they COULD ALSO GET THEIR PAID ACCOUNT DEACTIVATED?

Stop with the false advertising, stop gaslighting people and stop threatening and trying to intimidate people who after suffering through all of the abuse and fake sales promises post their experience on Trustpilot or elsewhere.

And, learn some manners, and respect your customers.

No credibility left. I hope it gets bought by a good team.

ORIGINAL: 4 ⭐️
January 2025

Ever since John Cornetta stepped in, things have finally been moving in the right direction. In just over a month, he’s resolved issues that Lifetime members had been complaining about for years—issues that past management not only ignored but punished people for bringing up. I was one of them.

There’s still a long road ahead to fully deliver on the original vision Groove sold us on, but for the first time in years, I feel hopeful. This new direction—built on integrity, transparency, and actual action—is what we’ve needed all along.

I’d love to see more of John’s no-hype, straight-shooting updates. Less pitch, more progress. Keep going.

=======

UPDATE: 1⭐️ (reduced)
May 1st 2025

After a health scare John has stepped back from the project, and, as the man likes to emphasize his name in his posts, “he, ——— Mike Filsaime ———" is back at the helm.”

All comments that were slightly negative or questioning have been censored on the post, and commenting have been turned off.

I also just found myself as a paid customer kicked out of the Official Groove Group without any warning or message on which rule I would have broken.

(He had kicked me out a year earlier too simply because I had stated in a 3RD PARTY FB GROUP that it would be good if Groove.ai be offered for free to Platinum members to make up for the lost money, time, and opportunity we suffered. I was kicked out from the OFFICIAL Groove FB Group as a result. (Note: Nearly all top affiliates had their Groove Support FB Groups −that they had built up over many years to promote and support their referrals− removed by FB because Mike’s team had filed copyright infringement!!! Skimming your affiliates and brand ambassadors is never a good idea!))

In 2024 over over several emails I have asked which official Groove group rule I had broken as to why I was kicked out. They NEVER could give me an honest answer because I HADN’T BROKEN ANY.

I was asked by Matt Serralta to “Please just come back in the group and look forward instead.” In other words: Don’t ask questions, don't have an opinion, just buy whatever we shill via our email newsletter each day and praise our little Napoleon on his high horse.

I only rejoined the group after friends and affiliates told me that John had taken over and finally a welcome change was happening.

So, now a few months later, and with Mike being in charge for a day, the only two things I can think of that tickled Mike's urge to ban me today are…

(1) because others and I stated that Mike was breaking federal SPAM laws by adding all Groove customers to his new personal email list and sending us spam about his (Groove-competing) offers, even though WE NEVER OPTED IN TO HIS LIST. [FACT] What's the fine for that in the US?

or…

(2) because I stated that "acquisition" would likely be the best option with a new management team. [MY HONEST OPINION].

In the post, HE HIMSELF had once more mentioned possible “partnerships” or “acquisition”! His whole idea has always been to sell off Groove for a boatload of money, so I don’t know what was wrong about my opinion.

It's a fact that the ONLY person in management who has NEVER LIED to my face, nor behind my back is John Cornetta.

I hope he makes a quick and full recovery, and gets to do things that give him joy in life instead of having to clean up others’ mess.

Mike and his team of yes-men/yes-women over the years have lied to and about me time and time again, simply because they can’t stand any criticism, any requests for transparency, any asking of responsibility, or anyone coming up with an idea that is better than them, but that would actually work for US, the paying customers!

It’s all about taking credit, being the smartest person in the room, the head honcho, and being back “with majority ownership”.

Reality check: A company can only be run well by people who are HUMBLE, have INTEGRITY, and who LISTEN to their customers. It should not be your personal slush fund to build your hobby projects on.

Only an external manager or a complete buyout with FULL management replacement will save this once great project.

I hope it will happen for all the backers who were sold a pipe dream and that 6 years later is still not even 20% complete and full of bugs.

I’m out. I’ve been kicked out (a 2nd time) by Mike, I’ve been called names by him on Skype [you know I have the receipts, as well as of your other unprofessional behavior].

But you’re lucky. I have no intention to waste any more time on you or this project. You’re not worthy of my time.

Simply, Mike, I don’t believe you; I don’t trust you; and, I would not want to let my business depend on YOU. I’m out.

I hope Groove ends up at a good company and a great team so that the people I’ve recommended it to will finally have a product they can at least use and will no longer feel buyers remorse.

Godspeed
Chris Fox

A Disaster for Agencies and Your Wallet

Thinking about Groove.cm for your agency or business? Don’t waste your time or money until you read this. Here’s everything you need to know about its security nightmares, image-destroying flaws, and the endless costs it’ll drain from you—over and over again.
FAQ: Why should I avoid Groove.cm?
Is Groove.cm secure for my agency? No! Groove’s security is a total joke—one login for your entire team means everyone has access to all your data, including client financials and credit card info. Imagine the disaster if your customers found out your whole staff has the keys to their kingdom. Security issues like this will tank your reputation and cost you clients—it’s a financial and vanity nightmare waiting to happen.

Will it make my brand look professional? Not a chance. Every app—GroovePages, GrooveBlog, GrooveMember, GrooveKart, GrooveWebinar—looks different, with inconsistent designs that scream “cheap.” Your precious image and brand take a hit because it’s impossible to look polished with this mess. Security isn’t the only problem; your inconsistent, unprofessional image will cost you time and money fixing what Groove breaks.

Can I scale my business with it? Good luck! With one shared login, scaling means risking your customers’ sensitive data—there’s no audit trail, no control. What would your clients say if they knew every employee could see their financials? That’s a security disaster that’ll cost you trust, money, and your agency’s reputation. Time and money down the drain, all because Groove can’t keep up.

FAQ: What about usability and costs?
Is it easy to use? Nope. Each app has its own clunky interface and a steep learning curve that’ll waste your time—and time is money. You’ll spend hours training your team on this Frankenstein of a platform, all while it negatively affects your brand with its amateurish look. Security issues aside, the inconsistent apps make you look bad and cost you more than you’ll save.

Does it save money? Only if you ignore the hidden costs. There’s virtually no data captured for marketing decisions—want analytics? Buy third-party apps. More setup, more mistakes, more money. Groove’s “free for a year” gimmick? It’ll take that long just to build a page, and by then, your image is trashed. Security risks, a cheap-looking brand, and endless add-ons—it’s a financial sinkhole.

FAQ: How does it affect my agency’s image?
What about invoicing and branding? Your invoices say “GroovePay”—no personal branding, just their name. Clients will think you’re a low-rent operation, not a professional agency. Combine that with the mismatched, outdated app designs, and your image is doomed. Security flaws give everyone access to sensitive data, and the shabby look costs you credibility—time and money wasted on a sinking ship.

Is it modern and professional? Hardly. It’s a five-year-old relic with a fresh coat of paint—limited graphics, no cutting-edge widgets, and a cobbled-together email system that barely works. Your brand looks stuck in the past, and the security mess (one login!) makes it worse. You’ll spend time and money trying to polish this turd, and it’ll still hurt your image.

FAQ: Can it handle real agency needs?
Is it a CRM or integrated platform? Not even close. “Integrated” is a generous lie—it’s a patchwork of tools that don’t talk to each other. No A/B testing, no real AI, no data for data-driven marketing. Your weakest link will be Groove’s security (one login for all!), its inconsistent branding (say goodbye to your image), and the time and money you’ll waste cobbling it together.

What if I need support? You’re on your own. They owe employees, partners, and affiliates money—good luck getting help. Meanwhile, your team juggles multiple windows just to get anything done, costing you time and money. Your brand suffers, your security’s at risk, and your finances take the hit.

Final Thoughts: Groove.cm is a security disaster (one login for all!), a branding catastrophe (inconsistent, cheap-looking apps), and a money pit (time, add-ons, and setup nightmares). If you value your agency’s finances or your vanity, steer clear. It’s the weakest link that’ll cost you everything—trust, clients, and your professional image. Run, don’t walk, away from this outdated scam.
As they get ready to relaunch, afilliate marketers have come out in droves to write misleading 5 star reviews.

Exceptional Insights: A Review of Matt's AI App Development Sessions

For those experiencing the process of building an app with AI for the first time, I must commend Matt Serralta for his exceptional work. As someone who has been involved in both building and teaching app development in the AI space for a considerable time, I have found his sessions to be incredibly insightful. Throughout the two sessions that Matt has conducted, I have gained numerous valuable tips and strategies.

I regret buying Groove

I purchased a Platinum Lifetime Membership for Groove Digital in 2020 for $1,397, believing it would be the ultimate all-in-one platform for online business—funnels, email marketing, scheduling, unlimited video hosting, course and membership sites, and even webinars.

It was a disaster.

I waited years for the platform to be fully functional, but it never happened. The software was riddled with bugs, so much so that the company admitted the entire codebase had to be rewritten. Features that were originally promised were either delayed indefinitely or scrapped altogether.

The final straw? The one feature I used—unlimited video hosting—was revoked. Groove’s management decided to take away a core promise of the lifetime deal, leaving customers like me scrambling for alternatives.

This was a terrible investment, a huge waste of time and effort, and a painful lesson in why you should be cautious of platforms that overpromise and underdeliver.

I’ve since switched to ThriveCart and Vimeo, and it has been a breath of fresh air compared to the ongoing mess at Groove. If you are considering Groove Digital, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.
