Really unorganised
Really unorganised. I live in Northampton and was referred to a guy in Duston but due to poor public transport it was difficult to get to. They sent a huge number who had to travel some way to the Duston location. The guy running it was new and the weigh in took forever with such a large group so I was sat about wasting my evening for the first hour. The actual talk part was useful. I got the physical books from them and a log in code to use the online website. Their main thing they push is the phone app which I wasn't interested in. Data harvesting. The group was far too large and location was too far from me in rush hour traffic. Gro health is basically calorie counting and all recipes seem to have nut butter or nuts but I found one good breakfast smoothie recipe I use (nut free). There's emphasis on diet and healthy mindset which is good but I found slimming world a lot easier as its not calorie counting and they have smaller local groups I can reach. Gro would be useful for someone who doesn't work all day and has time to count and measure everything. Or who cant cook or don't do exercise at present but I didn't find it a useful way to spend my evening. Group was too large and loads of people didn't come back after week 1. I lasted 3 weeks but took to long to travel to to sit around waiting for weigh-ins to finish.
