One of our favorites! Excellent quality. Delicious taste. We have elk burgers with cheese weekly and it's probably our favorite meal every time. Love it.

It's hard to beet any venison product.
Very fresh. Very good quality and quantity. We will buy again and try but I have had other elk meats that were even mixed a little with beef and tasted a little more wild flavor (gamier). This meat is very mild and I honestly didn't get much flavor profile. Wasn't getting a beefy flavor or wild. It was good just couldn't tell you what I was eating if I didn't know. I was lost with the flavor I wouldn't say I was eating beef or elk. Not a strong flavor profile. When most always I can tell and even tell when it's mixed what bite of each I'm getting.

I alternate my ground meats (i.e., chicken, lamb, elk, bison, beef and sometimes venison) to give my dog a variety in his meals.

This beef-heavy carnivore likes to switch it up once in awhile. Elk and bison are good alternatives.

The Ground Elk from US Wellness Meats is an excellent product, no addition of any beef.
The elk is what bison meat used to taste like 25 or so years ago, before bison were domesticated. Elk meat is rich, dark, rare, and delicious.

My favorite meat for making burgers
This ground elk meat brought back memories of when I was 7-- the first time I tasted it and it was so good. My folks said elk meat was a very special treat because it was not sold in the grocery store. I never had any more until I found it at Wellness Meats, so it's been about 60 years and I was very pleased. Thank you......
