In one word, fantastic; to rent a campervan from Mieke at Grampian Campervan Hire. We drove around in 'Ben Hope' a VW T6 for 5 days. A very nice campervan, very easy to drive (even for us Dutch people who are used to having the steering wheel on the other side).
And for us also very easy to get an explanation in Dutch.
The campervan is very clean, very neat and is fully equipped. Mieke has thought about everything and everything is super organized. Also the prices are very reasonable. Mieke is so nice and enthusiastic, very helpful and easily accessible for questions and information.
We will certainly hire again and recommend Grampian Campervan Hire to anyone wanting a wonderful and beautiful roadtrip in Scotland!

We hired a smaller VW T6 for 1 week with no issues at all. Easy to drive and the van came fully kitted out with everything you need. Mieke makes your journey as easy as possible and is lovely to hire from. To top it all off the rates are very reasonable compared to other companies in the area.

Just back last week from 4 days away having hired Ben Hope, VW Campervan from Mieke at Grampian Campervan Hire. Excellent service from the moment we arrived. Mieke is very attentive and knowledgeable about all of their vans. The booking process was easy, price very reasonable for what you get. The VW was a great choice for us as first time 'campervanners'. The vans are fully equipped, and I mean fully, everything you could possibly need and more. Mieke and Jan have clearly thought about what they are doing and how they wish to provide the service. From tea and coffee, spare gas bottle, spade, camping table and chairs to fitted sheet for the fold down bed, pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, dish soap, head torches, blankets, levellers and even playing cards. Very nice home-made scrubber also, great touch. The van was comfortable, warm enough and very easy to drive. It includes a small diesel heater which runs off the fuel tank, also secondary battery for all your lighting needs. We went up the west coast, north west and east and then back down east coast of Scotland - Lot of snow on west but spectacular views and experience. We wild camped, drove 652 miles and no issues what so ever (apart from getting stuck) but all part of the experience. On return, Mieke was very professional and eager to hear how we got on. Always available on the phone which gave you peace of mind. She gave us a tour of the other vans in the range and we are now looking at a larger one next time (April). We will be taking our nephews who will love it :) Would highly recommend, we looked at many companies and none had the personal touch that Grampian Campervan Hire had, the attention to detail and unlimited mileage so no need to limit how much travel you do. Have told our friends and my sister is keen to try this when up next in Summer. A++++

Mieke was a wonderful, knowledgeable owner, who made our first ever camper-experience a good one. She made us feel at ease and took time to answer all questions. The van was well-maintained and in great condition. We did have a slight electrical issue, but this was quickly resolved (and we were offered and extra night for the - very minor - inconvenience). Mieke was always just a text away if we had any questions. We will certainly be back for another adventure!

In September we hired Ben Hope for ten days to tour the Hebrides. Fantastic well equipped van, spotlessly clean and an excellent service from start to finish. We would definitely recommend Grampian Campervan Hire and hope to use them again soon.

In August, we hired 'Ben Nevis', a VW T6, for our NC500+ adventure (plus because we added an extra 500 miles to the normal route). From the minute we contacted Grampian Campervan Hire (8 months before our trip), we couldn't have asked for more.
'Ben' himself was equipped with everything we needed (and then some), spotlessly clean and with a few extras that we really appreciated (especially the shortbread).
Mieke was always on hand with help and information from day one right up to the point of returning Ben. We can honestly say her beautiful attitude and friendly smile has now made her a friend rather than someone we just hired from.
We're so glad we used Grampian Campervan Hire, we seriously couldn't have wished for anyone better and as for Ben, we miss him every day.

We had a brilliant weekend away in the Weinsberg van.
The van itself was spotless and fantastically equipped with everything you would need to have a comfortable stay. Was perfect for us and our two dogs to enjoy some quiet time away the outdoors.

Mieke was fantastic at giving us all the required information and keeping us informed of what we required when booking - made everything super easy.

Having decided on a last minute Campervan holiday with my daughter I found Grampian Campervan Hire when I thought all hope was lost at hiring a van as all other options were booked up.

Mieke was amazing from start to finish, so helpful, friendly and cheerful in all correspondence and made the whole process seamless. This was my first ever Campervan experience and it was made so easy with Mieke’s guidance.

The van itself was perfect! We hired the Sunlight 601 which was perfect for my daughter and I. It was very well equipped and had been provided with many helpful items to make the trip very enjoyable.

We went to The Lake District for 4 days and the van was not to difficult to negotiate the narrow roads and was relatively easy to park up as we had day trips planned each day.

Mieke was very helpful when the van suffered a small chip in the windscreen and in her cheerful nature didn’t allow this to disrupt our trip as I was a little worried when it happened.

I would throughly recommend Grampian Campervan Hire and look forward to being able hire a van again soon!

I have hired the small campervan (Bennachie) on July for the first time. I was NOT disappointed at all. My whole family of four plus medium size dog did fit in there perfectly. The van is literally FULLY equipped. Everything inside is on high standard. Whole process of hiring is very easy and Mieke answers all your questions promptly on the messenger.

Recently hired VW T6 Ben Hope for a week to tour the NC500 including a trip to Orkney. Highly recommend Grampian Campervan Hire, the van was spotlessly clean and came packed with everything needed for a trip away, Mieke really has thought of everything, even including some personal touches too. We toured around for 2 weeks with the sunlight 640. We are two sturdy people and the campervan was really comfortable with the two of us. Nice big and spacious bed, lots of storage space, we even had a lot of room left over. I also brought my inflatable paddle board, which was very easy to store in the storage under the bed. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Toilet is spacious enough and easy to maintain, we didn't use the shower, we went to a campground for that, but was nice to have it on board in case of emergency. The many windows and the ability to open the rear doors and the large side door made it feel very spacious.
The campervan was handed over to us very clean, with a good clear explanation of how everything works, service was top.
Through Park4night we found nice places to stay, sometimes at the campsite and sometimes at a wild camping spot.
We are already thinking about when we will go again and where we will drive, so we will definitely be back.

We Hired a campervan from Mieke and Jan to travel down to Yorkshire with my Mum, the whole experience was great, beautiful clean and well equipt van and very comfy to travel down in.
