My experience with Gradguide has been terrific and helped me to secure not one, but 2 job offers!

Leaving college and entering the job market can be extremely daunting, particularly for those who haven't secured a graduate role during their final year. In my experience, most people I know went on to work in the Big 4 or a bank, leaving me questioning whether I should have chosen a similar path despite having no interest in accounting or finance.

I was lucky to be referred to Gradguide's programme where I learned how to explore other options in sales, marketing and customer service, which were far more up my street. Along with getting useful advice on how to enhance my CV and make full use of my LinkedIn, I got to work one-on-one with my mentor Jannika who helped me each step of the way!

Mentoring is 100% the best way to navigate through the job market, as it allows you to get a real insight into what employers actually look for and how to effectively apply for roles. But definitely be mindful that you'll get out of this service what you put in yourself. So be prepared to be proactive when working with Gradguide to get the most out of it!

When I graduated college I felt as though I was at a disadvantage to other recent graduates with no relevant work experience in the industry that I desired to work in. Job hunting was daunting and tiring so when I came across Gradguide I was delighted.

My mentor Ian was very reassuring in that I was not alone and he made the process and search a lot easier and not as scary. We improved my CV and made my job search methods a lot more efficient, finding jobs that were right and suited to me. We ran through types of interview questions and what sort of answers recruiters are looking for.

Ian gave me the confidence boost I needed and I cannot thank him enough as I have been offered a role in a global media agency due to his knowledge and encouragement to not give up or lose hope.

I’m so happy I came across Gradguide! After graduating from my masters, I felt the job hunt was so daunting and I had no idea where to even start my search. Having graduated in Business and Management back in May, I was applying for roles in which I wasn't really sure about. With little success, I was confused as to what I might be doing wrong.

Knowing I wanted to work in sales, more specifically tech sales, I wasn't sure where to start or how to got about applying. I joined Gradguide in September through a recommendation from a friend. Like many, I was lost and confused and had no idea where to start when looking for a graduate job. I got paired with Bebhinn who was an enormous help. She helped me so much with my CV and gave many helpful tips, even after the few weeks that I had with her. Bebhinn also never hesitated to send me a message if she saw a job opening too. She went above and beyond and made this job hunt journey less daunting. Now, I'm about to start a job working in Accenture! I owe it to Bebhinn for her support and helping me finally land a job!

This has been such an invaluable experience particularly during such a difficult time for recent graduates. The team have implemented such an insightful program all in their own spare time to help prepare and put your best foot forward in applying for jobs in the tech space. When I left college I had a lot of anxiety about getting a job given the circumstances we’re in during this pandemic. I joined the Grad guide cohort and got paired with my amazing mentor Alice. I haven’t looked back since, I got given amazing advice and career guidance throughout the past few months thats made me very confident in applying for jobs and going through the interview process. I’ve had the best experience with Gradguide. Everything was communicated so clearly, from the kick off call all the way through to the different pillars of the programme. Having just graduated, I was unsure that my CV was ticking the right boxes for a career in tech. My mentor Amy provided me with invaluable advice and helped me make the necessary changes to my C.V. Amy also gave me excellent interview tips that helped me land my first full time job in tech! Having Amy to be answerable to throughout my job search really gave me the motivation to find a role I really wanted to do. Having finished my undergraduate degree in Business & Management earlier this year, I was entering the workforce with little idea of where I wanted to build my career. Starting with Gradguide gave me such a good insight into the opportunities within the world of Tech and Sales.

I was very fortunate to have Mark as a mentor, who's understanding and knowledge of how to make sure that I am as employable as possible was invaluable to me. He has helped me with everything from my CV,
provided me with a great list of online courses from places like HubSpot to allow me to up-skill, explaining the importance of LinkedIn and how to make sure that my profile is enticing to potential employers, as well as allowing me access to his network and getting me in touch with other mentors or people who may be able to help me on my job search (shout out to Jack).

Whilst I have not landed my dream role just yet, Gradguide has helped me to improve my soft skills, increase my network and significantly improve my chances to land that role.

I couldn't recommend Gradguide to recent graduates who were/are in a similar situation to myself enough.

Gradguide is an excellent tool to improve your CV, cover letter and interview questions. Niall, my mentor, is one of the most professional persons I've worked with. I can't thank him enough for what he has taught me and above all for boosting my confidence.

Being part of the September cohort has been a great experience! Although I only took part in the programme for a few short weeks I was lucky to be partnered up with my mentor, Jess, who helped me with my upcoming interview prep! She provided me with useful resources that were very beneficial to me during my preparation for the interview. The hiring process didn't take long at all and I quickly landed my first after-college role with a company I've always wanted to work for! I can’t speak highly enough about my experience with gradguide. I was inexperienced in the job hunt and nervous about getting started but my mentor completely alleviated my fears and gave me the confidence I needed. Matthew was generous with his time and quick to give me feedback on my CV and LinkedIn so I could tailor them toward tech.
After making the necessary updates Matthew gave me a clear job search strategy and I was able to hit the ground running. I was fortunate enough to get a referral for a bdr role at Oracle within 10 days of starting in the cohort. Matthew then did some brilliant interview prep with me which again boosted my confidence levels. Furthermore, I was put in touch with another mentor who was working in Oracle and he gave me some excellent advice on how I could prepare. I was also put in touch with a recent gradguide mentee who had been successful in securing a similar role there a few weeks earlier.
The combination of advice and training helped me in successfully getting through the interview stages and I was lucky enough to be offered the role. The Gradguide network alone puts mentees ahead of the curve when it comes to transitioning into tech. I can say with confidence I would not have been in a position to interview for the role had I not leaned on Gradguide for support throughout the process.
The mentor program and access mentees have to job openings is superb and I would highly recommend Gradguide to anyone who is considering a career in tech.
