Lenovo Laptop Unoperational
I purchased a Lenovo laptop via D ick Smith from them. It was not operational at all. No drivers, so no internet access etc. I tried to contact Gooploo many times. No response. Still no response a few weeks later. I am very angry with them!
It took me 3 days to get the laptop operational. It seems they had wiped the laptop and just left it with no drivers and plain old windows 10.
So nothing worked. I managed to identify and locate the drivers I needed to get the internet connection working. Placed them on to a usb stick and then ran them on the laptop.
I then had internet access!!
I then asked AI and it said Lenovo laptops use Vantage. Lenovo Vantage was not installed. So I located that and installed it.
It then isolated some ridiculous number of problems on the laptop - about 3000. Including that no drivers were installed and the bios was out of date and more.
Anyway it took a long time and two days later I finally managed to get the laptop to work.
So it is now working.
But this is NOT GOOD. It interfered hugely with my very busy schedule. And even now I dont have the laptop sorted fully.
It still thinks it is in Australia so I am prevented from buying Lenovo Laptop tools. I have just contacted Lenovo and have a case with them.
So VERY VERY unhappy. Gooploo dont seem to care at all. No phone numbers to contact them.
So I have raised this with D ick Smith and they are dealing with it now. They also had no response so I imagine D ick Smith will remove them from their marketplace.
