Played around 15 events last year and…
Played around 15 events last year and plan to play 20 next year.
Every single event my partner and I attended was fantastic! Very well run and the value for money was incredible.
You will generally pay less than a standard gree fee to play in these events so that in it self makes them worthwhile. Any prize is just a bonus.
Would recommend to any amateur golfer looking to play some great golf courses!

Played at Norwood park
Played at Norwood park , after finishing the round players where outside the clubhouse filling their cards in and debating what score they had on each hole, witnessed by me and my playing partner so think that was not right, after the comp not published nearest the pins or longest drive, just main scores and 2s, my score was not input to England golf despite doing a decent round and finally £10 to enter the 2s comp is a bit over the top, won't be playing in any more

All prize winners (including longest drives and nearest the pins are posted on our blog after each event) it is true we had an issue posting scores to WHS from Norwood so i apologise for that - we are asking venues to approve "WHS Requests" much earlier this year so there should be no score posting issues moving forward.
Golf is a game where we rely on individuals honesty and integrity, if scores are signed for and agreed by a group there is not much we can do unless someone has some evidence of wrong doing - the team on the day can make me aware of the situation which i can investigate and disqualify people if deemed appropriate.

Mizuno Golf Pairs is fantastic
Mizuno Golf Pairs is fantastic, well organised which gives you the ability to play top course that you would probably never play.
I played the open venues this year and thought it was outstanding.
The charity they support is a great charity, but the N.T.P needs updating, the option of winning Mizuno clubs rather than 3 yellow balls, that I probably never use! appeals to me more and I think more people would participate.
Cant wait til next year.

Voucher Prizes
Having played in a recent tournament which was well organised and good value for money. I just wanted to point out that Vouchers which are awarded as prizes are actually monetary value towards other events. So no money actually leaves the tour. This includes all the sub prizes for example entering the 2’s. So unless you intend to permanently play in these events your winnings will never come home.

Thank you for you comments, it is stated in our rules which are sent out 3 times prior to an event that vouchers are used as prizes - as a small business we do need to to do this to survive, these vouchers never expire so if you are a keen golfer its a great opportunity to put them towards more events!
We can also combine the vouchers together to make them easier to spend - i do appropriate your comment and opinion which is fair but it may surprise you to hear that even doing this we did not make a profit as a business this year.
We do review yearly our prizes and look into feedback to see where we can improve - vouchers actually receive great feedback from he majority of our clients but i do understand where you are coming from.

Just a money making machine run by people who don't care about your experience and give the impression they would rather be anywhere else than at the event. Misinformation is rife so don't enter the competition if you're looking for a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Broken promises and lack of honesty. Simply want to make as much money as they can without providing the service you should expect.

I could not disagree with your comment anymore, we are a small business who rely on repeat bookings to survive, so each customer is vitally important.
Although we do support 2 charities (Variety Club and Maggie's Cancer Charity) We are a business - who's aim it is to make money - the same as any other business. it may also surprise you that we were not "money making machines" last year and did not record a profit.
We really do care about the customer experience!

Played in Trentham golf club pairs with…
Played in Trentham golf club pairs with my son. Fantastic course and facilities. Golf comp run great. My only gripe is people playing off 85% coming in with 48pts there were x2 of them and a 47pts plus countless 46's. This is the 3rd event I've played in and have notice the scoring is incredibly high in these events. Not sure how to solve this, but be prepared to shoot the round of you life to even get close....!

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we do have handicap checks to check prize winners have played 6 qualifying competitions in the last 12 months (not general play) moving forward for 2024 (April) better ball scores will be able to be posted to WHS and we will also still be running our internal handicap cuts alongside this.
This should hopefully lead to more accurate handicaps and lower winning scores.

Won first prize at Fortrose and Rosemarkie but would need to spend £500 minimum each on flights, expenses to collect on a prize worth £240. Really disappointing.

You won a holiday in an event where there was only 28 pairs. The fact the we honoured the main prize despite the low numbers means we actually recorded a huge loss at this event.
As stated if you did not want to go on the holiday it is transferable and you could gift / sell it to someone else.
The prize is not worth £240pp but infact £400pp. Not bad when you only paid £49.99 per person to play a golf course where the green fee is £50.00.
I am rather shocked that for the course you have played, value of prize won and the flexibility of the prize being transferable you have somehow calculated this to be a 1 star experience.

Not for the good honest club golfer
Not for the good honest club golfer! Whilst this may seem a good way to play other courses, the prices charged are more often higher that the same clubs open competitions and be wary of the two's comp as the "prizes" are only vouchers more events, which they have never told us on registration. Also, having played many open competitions, the scores recorded by the winners of these events are far better than the home clubs open competitions and as they support the "get a handicap without joining a club" method, it does make you wonder how accurate these are. Having said that, well organised but have played in three now and still not seen the Mizuno rep for clubs at any one of them and it appears the free sleeve of golf balls only lasts until they have run out.

Our prices are always cheaper than a standard green fee but also have the added bonus of having a chance of winning up to £2000+ worth of prizes per an event.
Yes on occasion some clubs have had open competitions at a far reduced green fee rate compared to normal rates. We are still cheaper than a standard green fee at all venues.
The rules of our events and information about prizes are sent to you a month/ week and day before each event via email you must not have read these emails?
I personally check that all prize winners have played in 6 qualifying competitions in the last 12 month period to verify the validity of handicaps.
As a company we are not Mizuno we are Golf Pairs, Mizuno our our main sponsor so in terms of the golf ball situation (the balls are provided by Mizuno) we cannot do anything about the supply issue - however instead you have the chance to win a set of Custom irons worth between £1000-£1500 instead - this was also communicated via email, there is a poster on the registration desk as well as Andy on the hole too to communicate this with you.
The Mizuno reps do occasionally play in our events and talk to clients after, there were also attended some events to chat to clients without playing.
On the whole I believe your review is very harsh and not a true reflection of how we run our events - please could you check your email settings as I believe some of this feedback would have been avoided had you read the emails we sent you.

Good but lost 2 stars as you need to sort out your scoring
Well run at Fulford and Sheffield I felt value for money But need sort out the results system (mentioned before by others)
She results posted were late as were inaccessible (Sheffield) and inaccurate (Fulford)
The latter was annoying as the finishing positions were all over the place ie folks with 35 points placed higher than 36 points! That would have nothing to do with the players inputting. Frustrating as it is a competition and one of the reasons for playing is your result against others
This could make a cynic wonder if count back was accurate or used properly in the top 10, and if the organisers checked the electronic results for software accuracy?
I did ring and it was stated that you would contact the developers- lets see if this is sorted for the Sherwood event

Just played the Scotland West coast…
Just played the Scotland West coast bundle, we noticed the improvements from 2021 and like the fact that to be eligible to win prizes you have to have played 6 qualifiers in last 12 months which in turn has had a significant affect on scoring.
