Efficient, friendly, helpful, 100% happy with experience of dealing with Gladstone Brookes. I am certain they found companies to whom I had unknowingly paid PPI who I would never have thought of approaching.

All very seamless. Gladstone Brookes actually found I was owed some PPI from companies I had no idea were charging it. I didn't get masses back but enough to be worth the effort and in essence they did all the running around, so have generally been very pleased with overall outcome.

Very simple process.I had no idea if I’d had accounts with most of companies asked about but was told if any doubt ,say yes and they’ll look into it.After filling in some straightforward forms cash started rolling in.Over £5,000 less fees( which at 20% very reasonable) I’d never have got round to doing this myself so couldn’t be happier!

What can i say about these guys?
Well i went to them as the PPi was coming to an end, they advertised they were the best & i wouldn't be hassled, Big mistake, they called every other day, i got text messages every few days & ended up with a large pile of mail. They were not cheap to use either, i paid up to £4k for their services but because its paid bit at a time you don't notice it, Basically i wish them no harm but if they never contact me again i would be sooooo happy. And the best thing is after all this they probably are one of the good ones!?

I would definitely recommend Gladstone Brooks, they're quick and efficient to deal with and very friendly.

Just unfair that the 20% is taken off the figure before tax,so you actually lose more than 20%

Cancellation within the 14 day period
I have cancelled my search with them within the 14 day period. I have, emailed them filled in their online cancellation form, which does say submit and registered,and tried to call them and for over 12 minutes the message just said helping other customers, why are they still sending unwanted text messages.IT'S CANCELLED......
They don't even reply to emails to acknowledge receipt of cancellation. I have a paper trail of my communication to them. My advise is don't use them.

Gladstone Brookes don't communicate with themselves and I constantly get messages asking for the same information that has been provided on more than one occasion.
I am calling them weekly to respond to their messages and given conflicting information and advice, I wish I had not bothered, the money won't be worth the hassle.

Awful company dont waste your time I've had name mistakes, address mistakes company replies go missing. They say they sent forms for me to sign they never turn up, when you ask for an update they blame everyone else. Manger was calling me back in 15 mins that was 3 weeks ago now. Out of 24 case all given to them at the same time only one has actually been processed in 8 months

I keep receiving unsolicited texts from Gladstone Brookes with their number withheld. I have tried blocking this number to no avail and their text does not give an option to opt out. I have now reported the matter to the ICO.

Rubbish staff and manager repeatedly lied to me when asked if I would still have to pay Gladstone Brooke’s if bank took my payout for debt closed with partial settlement.

time wasters. if you call them 10 times in a week, they ask you the same silly questions every time, spending your hard earned money on uselessly long telephone calls, where their staff cannot veer off the script for one second.
I don't think they're as good as they make out to be. they just pay good money for very good adverts.
they send you misleading text messages, making you believe your claim has come through.
I am almost sure this company is part-owned by some people in government.

Started a claim. Heard nothing. Phoned every day but the adviser can’t help and assured me call-backs. Never had one. I’ve emailed but no reply! Waste of time and effort and they should be stopped from advertising if they can’t provide a service.

Started my claim near the end of 2016 loads of contact with GB's staff via phone calls more than several emails updating me on the progress of my claim and the latest call 5/8/19 and an email 7/8/19 tell me there is not much time left to put my claim in with the final date for claims 29/8/19
From other reviews l have read others have not been so lucky in the 'Keepy up to Date'
And at No time has any Money changed hands which is very Disappointing.

A waste of time: spend hours on the phone, give the same details and outline the same points but never receive any forms through the mail...just message on my phone to complete the forms digitally even though I have explained that my arthritis makes texting impossible...

Phoned them up with regard to a PPI claim went through the registration process was sent a text message with the list of lenders they deal with, was told they would send out the paperwork for me to fill in, was out of the country for 4 days came home No paperwork.
Phoned them up again to find out that I was not registered with them and went through the registration process again, while going through the extensive lenders list again the call was terminated on their end.
So two weeks on from the first call and no further on with time running out, would not use them and would not recommend Gladstone Brookes Terrible service.

Been with them since January and very disappointed. So many potential claims that we thought best to use the professionals,
we sacked them this week - they were complacent with that.
Paper forms were completed and returned by post - they seemed to lose them and the sent more for our signature and return. All paper based with no electronic transfer.
The 2 way portal for information exchange didn't work.
They failed to send letters to a temporary change of address, then closed cases sent to us because we didn't respond in their timescales. (no email advising of their plans to close cases).
Very little response to emails - we spoonfed them statements with PPI and still very little progress. Contact recently got worse (virtually non-existent) so I emailed the MD - got a reaction and with so little confidence in them, and even with just a few weeks to go till the dead-line, we believe that we can do better ourselves.
