My experience with Loot Financial was extremely frustrating and financially stressful, and I would strongly caution other small business owners before working with them.

What was presented felt like a line of credit, but in my experience it operated very differently. After going through it, it appeared much closer to a high interest predatory loan structure rather than a traditional line of credit. That distinction matters, especially when you see how repayment actually works.

In my situation, the withdrawals felt aggressive and at times unexpected. It seemed like my account was being drafted frequently, and the structure made it very difficult to manage cash flow. On top of that, there were additional charges tied to draw requests that, in my experience, added up quickly—especially if your business hits any kind of slowdown. I could never get an accounting I could never get a reconciliation.

They refused to give it to me. They tried to charge me to get it and pay their CPA to produce it.

If your business experiences a downturn, don’t expect flexibility. In my experience, the focus felt entirely on collecting payments rather than working with the business. That created a lot of pressure and made an already difficult situation worse.

Also, be extremely careful with any “check the box” or electronic approvals tied to draw requests. In my experience, agreeing to those requests appeared to obligate me to additional terms that were not clearly explained upfront, and I later felt those approvals were used against me when disputes arose. That was a major red flag.

Looking back, I would strongly urge anyone to fully review and understand every term before agreeing to anything electronically. I did not feel like I had a complete picture at the time, and that became a serious issue later.

When I calculated the total cost, the effective repayment was far higher than expected. That led me to do additional research, and based on publicly available information—including materials tied to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office—it raises questions about how agreements like this are structured and whether they align with licensing and lending requirements in certain jurisdictions.

I’ve also seen others raising similar concerns, and it may be worth anyone who has worked with them taking a closer look at their agreement and total payments. Some people are beginning to explore whether there may be options to challenge these types of arrangements or recover funds, depending on the situation.

At a minimum, I would recommend:
    •    Reviewing your full agreement carefully
    •    Calculating exactly how much you’ve paid
    •    Looking into applicable state laws and public records
    •    Making sure everything aligns with what you originally understood

Based on my experience, this felt like high-cost, highly aggressive financing that created more harm than help.

Proceed with extreme caution.

Worst experience. The brokers they have lie and do anything they can to get you to sign. I was told it’s a line of credit and you can draw any time but each draw you need approval like when you get the loan. Also I was told it won’t be viewed as. Mca to other lenders and won’t affect your chance of getting mcas but in fact it is viewed as a Mca and destroyed my chance at getting a $100k loan I was offered because I wanted short term access to small amount of cash. Also was told that they only charge you interest for the amount of time you use the line. Not just a 50 percent discount so you pay all the interest even for a month long loan like you had it for the whole term. Paying it down more faster doesn’t reduce your payments either.

Made it easy I spoke to a guy first that called me that I really connected with, wish I could speak to him again !

My rep was Ted. Ted is a gifted advisor. He was so honest, friendly and always demonstrated a genuine concern for my interests. I would say he was "real". He never resorted to corporate/sales speak. He spoke as a coach. Instead of moving on after getting my application, he stayed actively involved to expedite and actively advocate my best interests. AWESOME!! Further, he always answered the phone or, in the rare instance he was not available, would call back in a few minutes of my call. How refreshing to talk to a human being instead of some frustrating AI interface. Ted reflects the Bostonian spirit of the Duck Tours - delightfully so. By the end of the process, I felt as if Ted was a friend. In gratitude, I invited him to a meal on me if he ever visits Orlando.

Don't support your business. Cut credit line a month after giving an increase, and then don't allow line to be drawn. Trying to bridge cash flow and Loot has created major problems for me. Can't wait to pay it off and never do business with them again.
