Lived nearby for years but have never been into George Browns Chesham before. Went in for a mower earlier in the week, which wasn’t in stock, so was ordered and arrived 2 days later. The machine was unpacked, assembled, fuelled, oiled and tested prior to collection, and tested again when I picked it up. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. You don’t need to be eyeing up huge farm machinery to buy from them. Old school, friendly customer service

Purchased a Stihl unit which there was a problem with. I self employed and time cost money when you are self employed. The response I had was laboured and eventually when they did get in touch me they were trying to push take to it a local dealership scenario, which isn’t that close to me.
I will do purchasing with my local dealership from now on and avoid the constant headache of online purchasing.

Excellent customer service every time, would not fault them in anyway, parts get delivered quickly and help and advice is always just a call away.

Took a Stihl leaf blower in as the carb needing looking at, 3 weeks later they called to say that they couldn't fix it and carbs for that model were not available anymore. Fair enough. I ordered a clone carb but when I went to install it I found that one of the fuel lines was trapped between the two halves of the case and the other had been ripped in two with the filter half at the bottom of the fuel tank. Both were fine when I handed it over. There was no way they could have tested the carb after they said they had cleaned it!. I called up to complain but they said there was nothing they could do as it was too late and I could have done it!
The moral of the story is that if you have to use them, check your equipment thoroughly before leaving the shop. Ideally go elsewhere for repairs.

The staff was very helpful in discussing our requirements. The mower that we purchased was prepared and reserved for us to collect at a time suitable for us. We have been using the machine since getting it and is perfect for our current need.

Easy to order. Phone updates provided. Would have been a good opportunity for an ‘up sell’ of Stihl motomix when I collected the petrol leaf blower.

I had my Kubota mower serviced by George Browns Chesham and I'm thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and efficiency. From scheduling the appointment to the completion of the service. They even provided useful maintenance tips to keep my mower running smoothly. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of their work and will definitely be returning for future service needs. We called Geroge Browns to get a full service of our Kubota lawnmower. We were quoted £500 +VAT for a half day service. An eye watering amount but bearable, given would take a half day and we heard George Browns were reputable. Engineer arrived promptly was friendly enough but then left promptly, not an hour and a half later. We found out later that the oil had not been filled nor was it clear that a full service had been untaken as described on the phone.
A month later we received an invoice in the post (no electronic correspondence was made). I emailed to query the invoice, with no reply. Rob Adkins called at 8.27am three months later in a frustrated tone asking why the invoice had not been paid. I explained we had sent an email and that the £500 charge was not acceptable for an hour and half service. He was combative on the phone, called back several times, before finally agreeing to reduce the invoice to £383+VAT, arguing that there were over £100 of material costs. His justifications were flimsy and illogical - £383 for an hour half work is ridiculous.
We would not recommend Geroge Browns to anyone, there service is no better than average, extortionate costs, antiquated invoicing systems and unpleasant staff.

Lovely people, very knowledgeable and honest. The prices are very good too, I needed a blade bolt and they couldn't have been nicer.

I purchased a Stihl Petrol Blower brand new from George Browns in August 2022 for £325 to help clear the leaves in my garden and only ever used the ready mixed fuel also purchased from George Browns. Earlier this month the leaf blower stopped working and would not start so I took it back to George Browns. They have just confirmed they want to charge me £204 to repair it as they say the carburetor is blocked and it is not under warranty even though it is only a year old and it must have been blocked by me. This is totally unacceptable as I have kept the leaf blower in the garage when not using it and used the recommended fuel supplied by George Browns.

Bought a Stihl hand held blade clipper online. Fantastically price. Ready within hours. Thank you !
