As a child and family therapist, I’m always thinking with families about what kinds of school environments actually support a child—not just academically, but emotionally.

What stands out about Fusion Academy Tysons is the one-to-one model. From a clinical perspective, that level of individualized attention and relationship-building is something many kids (especially those with anxiety, ADHD, or learning differences) really need but don’t often get in traditional settings.

I appreciate the focus on meeting students where they are and allowing them to rebuild confidence in learning.

Overall, Fusion offers a thoughtful alternative for students who need something different.

I recently referred a student to this exceptional private high school and the experience has been nothing short of life changing. Their commitment to a truly tailored education is evident from the moment you walk through the door. Both my kids have blossomed at Fusion Academy. I wasn’t sure my son would be able to finish high school, public school was a train wreck. My daugher was ignored in public school. We struggled with school refusal and a public system that did not have the resources to help.

At Fusion, they focus on my kids as individuals. The teachers are the best I have seen anywhere - competent and kind. The administration is super responsive.

The school has many “bright and quirky” 2e kids. They can go to class online when health issues require it, but my kids love going there in person because they feel safe. The flexible scheduling frees us up to play competitve hockey and travel without missing class.

My son now has all A’s and is applying to college. He self advocates and is participating in school activities. Through Fusion, my daughter found her love language in art. Her teachers know that art is her gateway to the other academic subjects. I’m so grateful to everyone in the Fusion family.

We found Fusion when we realized our son’s public school was failing him on multiple levels. My son was a straight A student in public school, but the curriculum was so relaxed, he wasn’t learning as much as he should have been. And the school did little to prevent the rampant bullying. My son WAS not safe from verbal or physical abuse and the administrators did little to change things.

Then we found Fusion. It is a place where he feels safe, and the administration handles incidents quickly and with a goal of healing and growth for all. The teachers tailor their teaching styles to meet my son where he is and challenge him in a way that feeds his desire to learn and grow.

Yes, the school is expensive, but the tailored curriculum has fed my son’s love of learning, and he also flourishes in the safety of the environment.

There are clubs during the school day. There aren’t sports, but there are great art and music classes. He finished 8th, did the full 9th, and just started 10th.

Excellent experience. Our child got a lot out of the course and the flexibility of the program was very helpful.

Fusion has been a terrific option for our son who had to miss a lot of school due to illness. He’s been able to take a full schedule of classes to catch up before going back to his regular schedule in the fall. The only hard part has been that it can be difficult to get a schedule set up if you start toward the end of a semester because they are pretty booked. But the school worked really hard to get us what we needed.

Fusion Academy was an angel to our family in the middle of very difficult moments. My son was experiencing depression at a young age and his school made everything worse. Our family is very thankful that we found them and it's been a smooth transition that resulted in a very positive environment for my son to recharge and grow.

We decided to move my daughter to Fusion Academy after a year of agony at our Public school. My daughter was getting sick and couldn't keep up with her assignments and was falling behind. Fusion has been the right fit for my daughter. The Teachers and Staff at Fusion Tyson area are very supportive. Now, my daughter is doing well, she is learning and taking her education more seriously. I noticed that my daughter is much more happier, confident and looking into a great future. Thank you Fusion!

We've had a great experience with building our daughter's reading fluency over the summer at Fusion Academy. The daily progress reports were helpful and their flexible scheduling was also a plus. Our daughter enjoyed her sessions with her instructors, found them helpful, and never complained about going to her sessions or voiced any negative feedback.

Fusion has been an amazing for our son! The flexibility and one on one approach is outstanding! Highly recommend!

Scholastically good. Billing procedures ackward and arbitrary compared to private schools.

Incredibly accommodating, flexible, enthusiastic and kind. The one-on-one teaching and adaptable lesson format are perfect for a kid who resists the usual class structure. And the courses are accredited, so students are learning what their peers elsewhere are. I don't know what we'd be doing without Fusion -- we certainly tried other options, and nothing else worked like this does.

The staff at Fusion have always been upbeat, responsive, and helpful. My calls are returned quickly and we get all the paperwork and questions answered quickly. The teacher was very patient and gave very constructive feedback. Most importantly, my daughter learned her subject matter and always came back feeling her time was productively used, even when there wasn't homework assigned by her home school. I'd recommend this program to anyone needing that extra time to deepen on a subject.

The Fusion Academy is the best thing that has happened to my child! The one-on-one teaching throughout the pandemic challenged him more than all his virtual high school courses in public school did. The more-than-awesome, dedicated teachers are very student-centered in their approach, and they only move on to the next module after the student demonstrates that he/she has fully understood the concepts taught. I know that whatever my child learned at Fusion will stick (unlike at public school where no one really cares as long as you pass the test). Additionally, the director of student development, Ryan Lugo, was easy to work with and very accommodating with my child's wacky schedule due to athletics. I could not have asked for a better experience. Ten stars!

All the teachers are very passionate to tailor the curriculum to individual student. Their extreme patience and enthusiasm gave the enormous support to student's growth and success.

Fusion was a great place to move our son to during COVID. Excellent teachers, mastery of online teaching and communication!
