Ordered a Wild Country New Trisar 2 Semi-Geodesic Backpacking Tent. Arrived very promptly. A disappointing experience.
I had a negative experience with this seller.
I bought a mosquito net that it turned out I didn’t need. So, I decided to return it.
However, this vendor only gives you 14 days to return an item that you don’t want. This is far below industry standards for online retailers. North Face have physical stores (making it easy to return things) and give you 30 days. Other stores give you 90 days. I had one store accept a return after six months!
With 14 days, it is very difficult. I’m so busy some weeks that it can take me a week to open my mail. Then if I’m away (as I was the following weekend) I have no chance to get to the Post Office and return the product.
To his credit, this vendor extended the 14 days to give me time to return the product. However, it cost £5 to return the item (which retailed at £19). But then I only received £17 back. When I queried this, the vendor told be that I had received a discount that apparently only applied if you bought more than one item.
I didn’t realise this because it was not stated on my order confirmation. It just said, “special offer”. This meant I had paid £7 out and received nothing in return. I understand that it is customary to pay your own postage when returning an item, you don’t want. But the unexpected £2 charge was a real kick in the teeth, for a such a cheap item. Had I known this I would have kept it. Instead, the vendor now has a new item he can sell to someone else.
This was an easy situation to put right. All the vendor had to do was give me another similar discount code. This would have benefits for both of us. It would cost him nothing, would make sure I made his store a priority the next I need camping gear and would have had made me feel much better about the situation.
Instead, when I told the vendor how I felt about this, he simply ignored me. So now, when he could have had a customer who is guaranteed to shop with him again, he has lost a customer and gained a negative review on Trust Pilot.
I just don’t think this gentleman cares about his customers.

I bought a Jetboil Minimo. This is the first time I've shopped with Freshairjunkie. Price was cheaper than a lot of other places. My order was delivered quickly (within a few days) and was exactly what I wanted.

I had some issues with the weight of the tent, but they replied quickly. Explained it to me clearly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was okay.

Liked their website a lot on looking through it. I was attracted there by a great price for the olive green Buffalo Special 6 Pile and Pertex trousers I needed in order to complete the Buffalo cold weather outfit. I also selected a long handled spoon, stainless steel, for eating to the bottom of cooked ration packs. Makes life easier. They provided me with a Welcome discount code added to my left basket. Which I've now checked out on following up the left basket email sent to me. Just looking forwards to my order coming now. I recall I was a customer with them some years ago back too previously. This time around they were the best price for the Buffalo Special 6 trousers, where my required size and colour preference was in stock.

I bought a tent off eBay from fresh air junkie and it was faulty. When I made enquiries to have a refund I was just ignored until eBay stepped in. He refused to send me the correct information regarding the return and when I returned it he just denied receiving it and I lost my tent and the hundred pounds that I’d spent on it.
Dreadful Customer Focus.
Bought a Buffallo mountain shirt early for my son's birthday which is just before Christmas. Unfortunately it did not quite fit. Only have 14 day returns policy and refused to refund or exchange it on account they didn't have other size in stock. Very poor customer service. I had to buy another one from a better supplier. Will never use them again.
No Christmas Returns
Ordered a Buffalo shirt for my husband as a Christmas gift. The ordering, packaging and delivery was good. Unfortunately it was the wrong size, I contacted them asking for an exchange. Their rigid returns policy do not allow returns over 30 days. There isn’t a Christmas returns window. Not to worry I will have to sell the gift and order another from a different company.
