Deceptive Practices and Poor Customer Service at Freeje
I am writing to share an extremely frustrating experience I had with the telecommunication company Freeje. The service I received was not only misleading but was also met with poor customer support, leading to feelings of deception and neglect.
A week ago, I purchased a product from Freeje, which was marketed as a number with SMS capabilities. Everything during the purchase process suggested that I was buying a product that would cater to my texting needs. However, in the final stages, the number's description abruptly changed to "Capabilities: Voice". No previous communication indicated that the number did not support SMS, leaving me deceived and stuck with a voice-only number I had no use for.
Upon realizing the discrepancy, I contacted Freeje's support team. Instead of recognizing their unclear sales tactics or offering a refund, they shifted the blame onto me, questioning why I purchased a number that indicated 'voice' capabilities. This response is unacceptable and inappropriate for a customer service interaction.
My further attempts to seek assistance or an explanation were ignored for a week, adding to my disappointment and frustration. The lack of communication was not just disappointing, but it further damaged the already tenuous trust between the company and its customers.
Here is the response from Freeje's support team on June 30, "All of the information has been provided correctly. The number didn't change, it is the same number as before, which technically could receive SMS from the day it was activated. The number's capabilities/functions didn't change from the beginning. It can receive SMS. Is there anything else I can help you with?"
Contrary to their claims, I was unable to receive SMS, as services from platforms like Twitter were not going through. Despite them recently enabling SMS capabilities, they continue to argue that it was enabled from the beginning. This feels like an attempt to avoid offering a refund and is yet another example of their deceptive practices.
Based on my experience, I would advise potential customers to approach Freeje with caution. The purchasing process lacks transparency, and the customer service falls far short of expectations. Alternatives to Freeje should be seriously considered for anyone seeking a telecommunication provider.
