Gorgeously illustrated. A novel that deserves its reputation, done full justice by Folio.

Szczegóły produktu
In 1950, Ray Bradbury had a kernel of an idea for a story, and rented a typewriter in the basement of the UCLA library for nine days (it cost him $9.80). Dashing from the basement to the stacks to track down half-remembered quotations and typing at furious speed, in that short time he produced the first draft of an extraordinary novel. Serialised, widely published, adapted for film, theatre and even opera, the book, as Bradbury wrote, ‘seems to have a life that goes on recreating itself’.

Award worthy illustrations, very high quality binding and paper, unsurpassed attention to detail overall. Like every other Folio edition, this one too is the definitive edition of the novel in question.

Classic book in a very nice edition, a little on the expensive side considering it is short. All in all still recommended.

Love the artwork on this one. This feels like FS new aesthetic and I love it. Can’t remember if I bought husband on sale. Generally, since I am asked to rate value for money here, five stars all around for this experience I bought during sales, and four if not due to currency exchange making the average full price FS books NZD $80 each which is pretty steep for me personally. However, FS’s flat rate shipping and how everything is packed made up for this, always!
