Szczegóły produktu
No more terrible disaster could befall your people than for them to fall into the hands of a Hero Arrakis, or Dune, is a planet of nothingness – its torched wastelands are home to a fierce nomadic people, and under the endless deserts stalk gargantuan sandworms the size of starships. It is a place where water is sacred – ‘a substance more precious than all others’ – where to shed a tear is the most taboo of all sacrifices. And yet the planet is also humanity’s sole source of ‘spice’, the mysterious, addictive substance that underpins the workings of the galaxy-wide Padishah Empire. To control Arrakis is to control all. And it is across its vast expanses and in its arid caves that Frank Herbert’s epic adventure of political subterfuge and messianic deliverance is played out, a story that has become the best-selling science-fiction novel of all time, and is considered by many to be the genre’s greatest work. Like every Folio Society book I have, Dune is a work of art in every way. Frank Herbert’s novel itself would be just as brilliant in any form, but the beauty and quality of this presentation make the experience of reading it all the more satisfying. From the top-quality construction, to the paper used, the font and print quality, and especially the amazing illustrations, this is a superb addition to my library. It’s the kind of book that will be passed down to my children and grandchildren in time.

Loved your edition of the book , but the pricing is too much, if we compare it to Brandon Sanderson special editions THOSE definitely worth their price and more

This book is absolutely incredible. I’ll admit, the price scared me from purchasing this book. I eventually decided to treat myself and this book was so worth it. The book is designed great, has beautiful illustrations, and feels so great in your hands. The cover is incredible too. I loved this book so much that I’ve already bought more FS books and have not been disappointed. Shoutout to Svetlana at FS that packaged my Dune book.

The quality is second to none at this price range. Quite expensive for a book but it is beautifully constructed with nice textured paper and the artwork it great. I've always disliked the plastic dustcovers hardbacks come with when, underneath, the book itself is usually plain or uninteresting, this book (as with all Folio Society books afaik) instead has a nice slip case and the book itself is covered in a really nice material with a cool art piece on the front (stylish but subtle). Worth mentioning that even brand new the book would stay open flat on any page with very little page lift, which makes for a nicer reading experience where you don't have to constantly fight with the pages turning themselves. Great product. I'll be getting more.
