I regret not trying this sooner! Signed up for annual and absolutely loving it so far (it has been 2 hours!)

Great for me as someone who wants to learn multiple languages. Can always switch languages, without having to fork out more for another language course. It’s biggest strength is that you get a window into the real world foreign language with every translation tool you need on the fly. Predominately learning Mandarin, so i get pinyin AND Hanzi subtitles and can always click on any word that i need for isolated translation for. For one, seeing the language as it is used forces you to learn context and grammar. I only wish there a way to slow down the videos sometimes, because , for two…native Mandarin speakers can have some ways of enunciating syllables in sloppy ways, akin to the way English speakers do with words like “dontcha” and “gonna” or how “might as well” sounds like “mise well” So, you would never know these nuances if you only learned the whole language via textbook or the typically language learning program. More challenging, but more effective.

It is a funny way to learn a language. I've noticed that words or expressions learnt that way come more often to my mind. The videos offer a wide variety of topics and are enjoyable to watch.

Love this platform, the videos are very engaging and varied and the quizzes are a great complement to learn the content.
The quizzes can be a bit repetitive, but then you realize that it truly helps you learn the new vocabulary and grammar.
Love the fact that you can pause the videos to understand at your own pace, and that you can easily access the meaning of the words you don't know.

Very interesting content by which regular practice is needed to achieve progress.

the experience so far is great. i got what i have been always looking for to study german. and it felt so so engaging. the only thing that i dislike is the charge. as i come from a country with a weak currency. it's really expensive for me that requires from my some saving to be able to pay for it. please consider others that doesn't get paid in a strong currency.

This program is thorough and comprehensive. As a former educator, I recommend it!

this is really great software. just try it. its better than other video software for many reasons.

Very methodical way of teaching. impressive

I have used Fluentu for a few years now and have learned a lot .I use it for Spanish and Russian. The program is well designed not only for beginners but those who think they know the language well. I have a master's in Spanish and Russian and can tell you the advanced lessons were challenging at times. I use Fluentu. to improve in both languages. It is the best learning program I have used. Thanks to those at FluentU. Mike

I used the app briefly in 2020, never signed up for the annual plan, but I am still getting charged the $240 annual fee, last on 3/13/23. The app (I checked today) shows it as a free subscription but I have still gotten charged repeatedly. Please refund all charges from 2020.

Today I subscribed by mistake because my internet connection doesn’t stable
And I want to refund my money as soon as possible, so how to refund my money ?

Really great. Want more from an app like Duolingo.
This is it. Build words then sentenses. I do the minume but find myself practicing out loud after.

i have used other language learn apps and find FluentU to the most immersive. Best experience so far.

FluentU is simply awesome! I am a language teacher as well as a language learner. I compared FluentU with its competitors and chose FluentU because the vocabulary learning tools are really excellent. I am using a flipped-classroom approach in my teaching and I will be recommending FluentU to all my students!

I've just started using FluentU, and from the first day on, I imagine that I can update my language skills in pronunciation, reading, writing, and also when talking to other people at a fast pace.

I have loved the short videos, being able to listen and watch as many times as you want, listening in small portions and being able to look up vocabulary and expressions in a variety of contexts. The actors in the videos do a great job keeping your attention; they enunciate well and still sound natural.

Being a visual leaner, I love the SHORT
videos and the way they are broken down and how you can look up the words so easily, with the precise meaning for that exact usage. As well as the ability to have/or not the subtitles in the language you're learning and your own. Never boring! You can't beat that!
