Flora have changed recipe. Added coconut oil. It tastes terrible, doesn’t spread and tears the bread. Lost lots of loyal customers

Been a fan of Flora Original for years,it has a great flavour and is easy to spread straight from fridge.
The new recently introduced recipe and look is a BIG disappointment, it's impossible to spread and the new flavour is not great,flora has reduced content of some beneficial ingredients.
Unfortunately it means I will not be buying Flora any more ,unless the recipe is changed back.
Probably won't affect their sales as it will appeal to a different clientel, but from recent reviews I think Flora have messed up big time

The new Flora Original is now sadly not a great product. As others have commented it won't spread when trying to apply it to bread, the taste has also changed and not for the better. We have a family of 4, one of which is vegan, and he is also very unimpressed with the taste.
Oh well need to find a replacement.

New packaging I get but what's happened to the taste and texture? You can not spread this on bread like before but it's ripping the bread apart which is annoying. Flora needs to rethink it's recipe and make the margarine spreadable again. It's now like frozen butter and needs to be heated to spread on bread. I have used Flora for 20 years plus but I wont be buying it again.

Hmm this repackaged and reformulated “original” Flora tastes like a low fat product. If, heaven forfend, I wanted such a spread I would buy one labelled “low fat” ! This is very disappointing, let’s hope the company relent and go back to the old version. On the plus side, the new packaging is lovely!

Crap product ; crap policies

Recently Flora who make low fat spreads for sandwiches and other food have changed the ingredients from a SUNFLOWER OIL based product to RAPESEED and PALM OIL based product.

We all know why companies do this, it is to make higher profits or keep the price low being that RAPESEED OIL and PALM OIL are cheap.
I do not buy products for cheapness I buy because of the type of ingredients, the quality and taste and for my health.
Not only have they changed the basic ingredients that has been SUNFLOWER BASED since the 1980's, they have added an ALCOHOL based product 'VINEGAR' to improve the taste because they could not think of a better solution to make it taste the same as before they put RAPESEED and PALM OIL in their spreads.
I am ALLERGIC to ALCOHOL and VINEGAR is low quality wine that has 1% ALCOHOL. Not only am I allergic to Alcohol and do not trust products Alcohol related in case I get a reaction, I do not like the taste of VINEGAR.

YOU HAVE RUINED THIS PRODUCT' FLORA.

You have responsibilities to your customers and should not change ingredients and at least should ask us first what we want and need from the products you make for us. We do not want a cheap product' that is why we pay £1.80 PER 500 grams. I expect SUNFLOWER OIL. You are deceiving people too by leaving the SUNFLOWER on the package when Sunflower oil is one of the lesser ingredients in the list. You should not be allowed to change ingredients in food products that we rely on as health food and should state if their is an alcohol based product in food. This is not meant to be an alcohol based product and alcohol is bad for us, it is poison.
WHAT AM I GOING TO EAT NOW, YOU COMPANIES WHO KEEP CHANGING THE INGREDIENTS ARE SLOWLY STARVING ME.

There are less and less products I can eat because you and other companies keep adding junk in to products that I can not eat or do not like.
I rely on this product to get VITAMIN E AND B VITAMINS too. My health has been suffering for years because companies are putting things in foods that I can not eat.

YOU ARE RUINING MY HEALTH BY DEPRIVING ME OF THE NUTRIENTS I NEED.

YOU PEOPLE ARE HARMING ME THROUGH YOUR ACTIONS.
