First time customer in the Harrogate branch. I went to talk about laminate flooring to replace carpets that were damaged by pets. I was greeted and asked if I needed any help ! The young man that helped me turned out to be one of the owners and what a delight had was. He gave me no nonsense advice on various flooring and after looking at colours I choose one. I was even able to book the fitters to come the following week !
I was so impressed with the service and price I decided to change the stair carpet to something more hard wearing.
I hadn’t realised it was a family and local business which I am very happy to support. The showroom is much bigger on the inside and there is a huge range of flooring. I was very pleased with the pricing and I shall be returning to get a made to measure rug once the flooring is down.

Very helpful in store staff, we were allowed to take away some samples to see which colours matched best.
They then came to measure up on time and the fitters did a great job, they even vacuumed up after themselves.

Assessor came out same day to check the job and the fitters Karl and Joe were brilliant. Had to herring bone a plant room with lots of pipes / small kitchen and a bedroom.

We tried a number of other local carpet stores but they all fell short of the service on offer at Floorstore. Reception in the store is friendly and helpful without being pushy and, importantly from our point of view, the price for the carpet we chose was competitive. Communication throughout was good, delivery was on time and our fitter, Connor, was brilliant. Really, what’s not to like?

We are thrilled with the new wool carpets supplied by FloorStore, Harrogate. And their customer service is excellent, every time. The fitter was prompt on arrival, and worked very efficiently, and showed us a few things when he had finished installing the underlay and carpet.

We had a new landing carpet, as well as stair runner including stair rods supplied and installed by Floorstore, and they were fantastic throughout. They were very friendly and helpful as we looked for the right carpet, provided guidance and helped us to find an option we were happy with. The contracted fitter was excellent, arriving when he said he would and has done a very good job. Special mention for the fact that they arranged new door trims, which we hadn’t added to our order, to be delivered up from Leeds on the same day at no extra cost. A big thank you to Wendy, Ian and Adrian for their help.

We are happy with the service especially from Wendy and Adrian ,both were always at the service.we received nice comments regarding the flooring.

Overall, very happy with the flooring and the fitters they were excellent.
However, the communication from Floor Store regarding delivery of materials and fitters on the day was VERY POOR. These were both delayed. Without a phone call from myself neither would have happened.

Staff were friendly and helpful, carpet and underlay were good quality and prices. Carpet fitters were on time and were clean and efficient and didn’t mind moving a couple of pieces of furniture. Overall an excellent service. Thank you.

Our initial experience with Floorstore was positive, with helpful showroom staff guiding us through material selection for four rooms. However, several issues emerged during and after installation that left us disappointed.

While the flooring quality appears good, the installation process was problematic. The contracted tradesperson completed the work quickly but left the space untidy and attempted to charge an additional £25 for what should have been included in the original scope.

A significant issue was Floorstore's miscalculation of materials, leaving us with over £100 worth of excess flooring. Their refund policy only covered unopened boxes, and they refused to collect the surplus materials despite having their own delivery vehicles. This would be particularly challenging for elderly or less mobile customers.

The company's after-sales service was poor, and their terminology during the process assumed technical knowledge that wasn't explained well. While we had planned to use Floorstore for additional rooms, we'll be taking our business elsewhere.
