After ordering over £1,000 worth of flooring, I decided I had acted in haste. I then went into read the reviews on here and become quite afraid I had chosen the wrong company to order through. This morning I contacted them, I openly discussed my concerns with Ivan.
I couldn't have asked for a more honest and helpful conversation to take place.
He advised that I continued with the cancellation, & ordered a sample to correct any further mistakes. He then called straight back to confirm he was sending a sample out today and that my order would be cancelled as soon as the finance team arrived into the office.
I have found them to be a very good company thus far! Especially as this has all been in my own error.

We hired Flooring First based on a recommendation, but our experience was extremely disappointing. While the subcontractor (George) ultimately completed the work to a reasonable standard, the overall service from the company was poor from start to finish.

The job was delayed unnecessarily — we had cleared the rear of the property as agreed, but the subcontractor insisted on starting at the front, which caused unnecessary hold-ups. Despite this, the company falsely claimed the delay was our fault.

Communication throughout was frustrating. One member of their staff was particularly rude on the phone, and when we raised this — along with other concerns, such as the absence of their worker for several hours on the first day — we were met with outright denial, legal threats, and a complete refusal to accept any responsibility.

We ended up with significantly more surplus flooring than needed, despite their claim of "minimal wastage," and subfloor preparation was not carried out as thoroughly as promised.

We paid the invoice in full simply to bring an end to the experience — not because we were satisfied. Flooring First showed no interest in resolving issues or offering any goodwill. We will not be using them again, and I would strongly caution others before doing so.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We had them come to redo our engineered parquet flooring. They did the worst possible job, had zero respect for our property, damaged our kitchen cabinets, front door, walls, carpet, and radiator bottoms, left dust everywhere and covered nothing in dust sheets and didn't clean a thing up. The application of stain was done SO BADLY it was like a child had done it. They are unable to apologise. We did have them come back and fix the floor, but this took an additional 2 days of moving all out stuff out and back in and I wouldn't say they did a brilliant job the second time around. DO NOT USE!

After doing so much research, I decided to go with Flooring First to replace my old laminated flooring with new engineered wood flooring including new skirting boards.
These guys did an amazing job and were able to start immediately. I received outstanding customer service from Dimitri at the showroom who helped me choose the right flooring as well as Halil and George who worked so hard to install it. I am not an easy customer and these guys went above and beyond to ensure that the job met my standards. I went for natural oak lacquered engineered wood and my new floor is stunning. Many thanks guys!

Disgusting company and even worse customer service. They were provided with the details of the job via e-mail, over the phone and during a visit. I was given a quote, paid my deposit and the job booked in, when they arrived they advised "they can't do it" the subcontractors were provided with the wrong information. I had moved all my contents into storage, arranged for temporary accommodation over two days and rearranged my weekend. I called almost 90 times wanting a solution, When I did finally speak to Dimitri he did not offer a single solution to this problem, his attitude and communication was awful and terminated the call. To compound matters the police were also involved as I refused to let them leave the complex until I was given a solution. They refused to refund my deposit despite doing no work, citing a "call out charge" Awful, avoid at all costs.

FlooringFirst did a great job in sanding my kitchen as they even had to remove the kitchen panels to be able to sand everywhere. They came on time, started promptly, sanded the area with different machines, cleaned thoroughly and then applied 4 coats of lacquer. Everyone coming home compliments me on the good results. Would definitely recommend.
