SCAM

They promise to trasnfer my money back, after 2 months never happened, now they send me a voucher which i dont want......

SCAM AVOID

I have now received another email stating that a refund is not possible as its a non refundable booking, however, the hotel went bust so they cancelled the contract and not me.

Can anyone who is taking action against them, please get in touch and i'll do the same

Message from Flixhotels.com after 10 weeks from cancellation my 'free cancellation booking':

'Thanks for your call, in which you informed us that you do not want to accept the provided voucher.

The decision of the German government regarding the voucher regulation is still pending. However you have the right to demand payment after 31.12.2021. So if you do not want to accept the travel voucher and would like to apply for a refund instead, please proceed as follows:

Send us an E-Mail with subject "Request a refund instead of a voucher - your booking number" and the following details to [email address]:
Your name

Your booking number/ invoice number

Bank details (IBAN, BIC) for the refund

Note: Refunds on credit cards are not possible'

Terrible. Free Cancellation not being honored. They've sent a voucher after I expressly asked for a refund. Cancelled a month before my cancellation deadline.

Attendo da 6 settimane il rimborso di un annullamento causa corona virus. Avevano promesso di procedere entro 6 settimane. Inizio a pensare di non vederlo mai. Se non c è da fidarsi neanche di una società con sede ad Amburgo.,Prometto di rettificare se lo riceverò.

Please get away of this travel booking agent. They are going to use whatever trick they can to rip you off, avoiding any refund. Despite the fact hotel confirmed reservation was cancelled by the travel agency and funds returned, following local Spanish law due to covid19, Flixhotels declined to proceed with the refund using some vague excuses and using German law (hello? This is Europe and European laws prevalence over local legislation) to back up its answer. They invited me to use my travel insurance to recover my money. Flixhotels are shameless and eager to scam you. Watch out and avoid to use their services.

Una agencia supuestamente dedicada a la reserva de hoteles que, en colaboracion y mediante Trivago, durante la crisis del COVID-19 estafó a miles de clientes. No devuelven el dinero de las cancelaciones a pesar de que las anunciaban como gratuitas. No responden emails. No cogen el telefono.

Simplemente delincuentes promocionados por Trivago.

Booked in November, hotel went bust in February, only found out by accident.

Been in touch with Flix hotels and they still say they are investigating.

Now involving a solicitor to investigate and they still keep on delaying.

Will never use these again and will actively deter anyone from using them again

No me devuelven el dinero de una reserva la cual tenía cancelación gratuita. Me dicen que me darán un bono y si quiero el dinero tendría que reclamar el 31-12-2021, cuando yo reserve con cancelación gratuita por si surgía algo poder obtener mi dinero y nada. Pasan absolutamente de todo y sin contestar a nada.

I agree with everything said in the privious review. I cancelled my FREE CANCELATION booking (worth over £2.5k). They offered me VOUCHER. I said that i do not accept voucer and demand a refund to which i have a full right. Then they replied that German government is still due to annouce rules regarding vouchers. This is not true! There is no auch law in Germany! According to german laws you do not have to accept voucher.
The. they said they can only offer money refund after December 2021!!!! What a joke. I will be seeking legal action agains them.

Al igual que muchos reservé por Trivago en Flix hotels cancele en tiempo y forma dijeron que reembolsará de 4 a 6 semanas... Llevo ya 6 semanasy no tengo respuesta, esto huele a estafa. No contestan en el teléfono y en su página Web ya no puedes abrir una reclamación. Aunque Trivago no sea directamente responsable, no volveré a utilizar nunca más su buscador, debe elegir mejor a sus partners.

Warning for Flixhotels. I booked a hotel in NY and payed extra for free cancellation to be safe that I will recieve my money back. When I cancel I got a confirmation and send them all information that they asked for. I got a message that the money will be paided in 4-6 weeks, and then they change their mind and offer me a voucher and motivate it with some descision that the German Goverment had done april 1th, 3 weeks after my cancellation. When I didn't accept that they told me that I will recieve money after december 2021 !!!!

I booked a stay at the Grand hyatt in the Bahamas early this year, I cancelled on the 20th of March was told to be paitent wait 4-6 weeks for my full refund - have had emails saying it will be soon asking for my banking details now - today is the 7th of May and have an email saying all they can do is a voucher - JUST DISRESPETFUL -

I have also made a free cancellation reservation through flixhotels.com. They charged me almost 800 euro(the total amount) in the reservation day even though it was a free cancellation. In booking.com this kind of reservation charge at a time very close to the stay. I got nervous and checked from the hotel and they said they can see the reservation. Due to the pandemic I wanted to cancel the res. They confirmed the cancellation and asked me to wait for 4-6 weeks. Since there was no news at the end of the period I wrote them. They have said that they wont be able to make a refund instead they will give me a voucher which I can use in the next 5 years. I tried the voucher and it is not working. The company is scam, stat away!!! I asked my bank a charge back hope it works out fine.

Mi opinión negativa. Cancelé reserva reembolsable, en tiempo y forma por la situación del COVID 19. Me contestaron que se reembolsaría en 4-6 semanas. Finalmente lo que te dan es un bono.....para el mismo hotel en otra fecha! Esto no es lo pactado con el cliente.

Would get a 0 star if I could, booked portaventura for the easter holidays, couldn't go as hotel and park closed, they said no refund as flixhotels still have to pay portaventura hotel for my booking, I contacted hotel who state that I can move dates with no extra fees or charges, but have to contact flixhotels to do it. Not only did they refuse to move dates they cancelled my holiday as "per my request" they are a dirty, robbing company and hope people remember the way they were treated and refuse to give them any custom after this pandemic is over. Contacted my bank to request a chargeback.
