They've Worked Out the Kinks - Order with Confidence!!!

First let me say that we spent one year extensively researching all of the pergola companies (I happen to be a research scientist, so I know how to dig-deep into companies and products). We chose FlexPatio because they offered more features/upgrades than any of their competitors AND offered the fastest shipping. Many reviews over the past few months have reflected the company's growing pains - and they have publicly assumed full responsibility for logistical issues - demonstrating their honesty and integrity. Interestingly, none of the reviews critiqued the quality of the product - so I live chatted with them and asked them if they remedied their logistics issues. They assured me that they have, and so we decided to trust them and place an order. Our order was processed immediately, and it arrived to our local carrier in 12 days! We even received photos of our pergola crated up, and ready for delivery in perfect condition. Unfortunately for us, we experienced a major family emergency that forced us to cancel our order just one day prior to delivery. FlexPatio was extremely understanding and accommodated our needs immediately. They showed genuine care and concern for our family and went above and beyond at their own expense. Should our circumstances change, we WILL be purchasing a pergola from FlexPatio in the future. Our overall experience could not have been better, and they've earned our trust AND our business. I think that you should give them a chance to earn your business - you won't be disappointed.

Flexpatio to the rescue!

Our story was quite harrowing, but Flexpatio came to the rescue! We ordered a pergola from another company, and it was a complete nightmare. They charged our AMEX, and after over 4 months of waiting, they never delivered the product. Countless emails, phone calls. No answers, but just a bunch of run-around, while they had all of our money. I finally submitted a dispute to AMEX and eventually got my card credited the full amount. While the whole debacle was going on we did endless research on pergola companies, and chose Flexpatio. THE RESULT? A unbelievable beautiful product (actually a lot better product), turn-key transaction with installers they provided, and get this.... it was delivered and installed withing 2 1/2 weeks, and we saved over $5,000 from the other company! To add to it, the customer service at Flexpatio is top-notch and impeccable. Our rep Heide was totally awesome every step of the way. If you're looking for a pergola, look no further, Flexpatio is your company.

Beautiful Custom Pergola

We just finished installing our custom 12'x26' motorized louvered pergola, and the final product is absolutely incredible. The build quality is heavy-duty, the integrated power and LED lighting look seamless, and the motorized roof functions perfectly. It has completely transformed our backyard deck.

Because we live on a tight dirt road that is difficult for a standard large freight truck to navigate, delivery took a little extra coordination. FlexPatio’s support team worked closely with us to accommodate our location as best they could and helped us coordinate transferring the shipment to a local delivery company to ensure it made it safely to our door.

We also ordered their new RF Controller, which set up seamlessly with the pergola and allows us to easily control everything directly from our phones. Highly recommend!

Excellent experience!

We were able to pre-order what we wanted while it was on a great sale. Happily it became available much sooner than expected. No problems with delivery. It had to sit for a while as we had to prep footings for it. When it came time to put it together my husband and son were able to assemble it with no problems, all pieces were included and it works beautifully! 100% ready to work with Flexpatio again. We will be ordering shades or side walls soon, when we figure out which we want.

FlexPatio 10x13

I ordered a flexpatio 10x13, communication was good, ordering was simple, delivery in about 3 weeks. I had to be there to help. Installed in 4 hours with 4 people. We love it. I had a couple bent louvers so they sent me new ones. Customer service was great. We love our FlexPatio.

Best Purchase of my Life

This pergola has completely transformed our backyard into our favorite place to be. Our back patio used to be a place we rarely went due to no cover, now we have the ability to go out there in any weather! Would 100% recommend Flex Patio!

Great product and service

I’m honestly very surprised by all the negative reviews here. Our experience could not have been smoother. We had FlexPatio delay shipping since our concrete slab was not ready and they delivered on the exact day we wanted right into our garage. We paid to have it installed through FlexPatio. They found a local installer who had installed them before and did a fantastic job. Everything works exactly as expected.

We had one small dent in one of the side panels we added on. When I notified FlexPatio they immediately offered to send a replacement. I told them it wasn’t worth the hassle to replace it so they gave me a $200 credit back to my card and said the offer to replace it stands if I ever change my mind.

We have had the FlexPatio installed for several months now and absolutely love it. Through major wind and rain it’s held up great.

I have zero complaints. If you’re pouring a concrete slab just make sure you triple check the measurements as the legs need a little extra space to bolt down. I suggest adding a few inches in each side to avoid cracking the sides of the concrete.

Astounding Flex Patio Asked Us For a Review

Astoundingly, Flex Patio asked us for a review, which we submitted earlier today, but I do not see it posted on its website. I say 'astoundingly' because, it is June 22, 2026, and we still don't have the $14,593 pergola we ordered and paid for on April 29, 2026. On May 25, 2026, Flex Patio's shipper delivered the pergola. The driver and I were sort of in disbelief that the glass walls had been packaged in cardboard. Unsurprisingly, there was broken glass everywhere. We immediately reported all of this to Flex Patio. And since then, effectively zero has happened (with respect to sending us an undamaged pergola, something we paid almost 15k for almost two months ago). Flex Patio did send us $400 (presumably the cost included in the item it spent on the shipping of the damaged item). And we have received the fan and heater. But they are still in their boxes, because we are not going to unbox them until we receive an actual pergola for our handyman to build. On about June 4, 2026, Flex Patio notified us a new shipment was coming. But then the shipper apparently canceled, because the item was too large: another total head scratcher. First, shipping glass in cardboard and then picking a different shipper that won't ship the item. Since that fell through, we were again promised within a certain time frame we'd receive shipping/tracking information, but Flex Patio blew the deadline it set. So, here we are, having paid a large amount of money for nothing so far.

Zero customer support after the sale, if you have a problem.

As other customers have mentioned, all is great during the sale. For us, we received no notification our order was delivered. Got a call from the freight company trying to schedule our delivery as our notice, but nothing from Flex prior to that.

Turns out this freight company couldn't unload the 13.5 long and 1000 pound pallet for me, unless I provided help! After multiple attempts, finally was able to contact Flex. Was told their logistics team made this delivery a priority, and would contact me when it was resolved.

Six days later, nothing from Flex. Emailed the company, and said if I didn't have a confirmed delivery date by the end of two more days, I was officially requesting a cancellation.

Not trusting Flex to do anything any more, I contacted my credit card company, and my payment was refunded to me due to non-delivery of the pergola. Still crickets from Flex.

The product seems to be well made if you get lucky and it arrives intact, but you're playing Russian roulette when you buy from them.

Very frustrating to contact this…

Very frustrating to contact this company. There phone lines are down. I’ve tried email and hope to get a response. I ordered an in stock product on may 30th. The delivery time on the site says 5-15 days or 30 during peak times. I have been given a delivery date of July 23rd two months from purchase. I had a video conference with them and they confirmed my order to be in stock. They said they would look into why my order has been delayed and get back to me. That was a week ago nothing but crickets.

Deceptive practices?

Well, it looks like I, too, ran into the customer service and shipping delay problems others have reported here. Ordered a 16x13 pergola and accessories May 8th. Immediately received an out of stock message via email with a ship date of June 11. I heard nothing from the company so I called on June 11 for status. The 1 US customer service person has no visibility into shipping schedules so she had to contact the warehouse in China! This is not a US operation, I guess. Next day, no follow-up, so had to call again. The status from China was vague with promises of in stock soon.

I was fed up and canceled the order but the girl I spoke to would not confirm cancelation. She has to "get approval" from someone in China.

This is clearly a runaround where they take your credit card, run the charge, sit on the money and string the customer on.

Stay clear unless you have lots of patience.

UPDATE

So Flex Patio says they want to make things right but they still refuse to refund my money and in spite of my cancelling the order on June 11 they suddenly started shipping boxes to my address in July. Very dishonest!

I ordered a pergola in May 2026 which…

I ordered a pergola in May 2026 which their web site said was in stock. After the order they changed (delayed) the shipping date & offered a token refund on my $10K+ order. Weeks later I tried calling about the new shipping date and their phone lines are closed during the normal operating hours when they said they were open. I tried emailing and they didn't reply to my email.

I want a refund, and will pursue appropriate legal and reputational recourse if necessary.

I've seen replies to their negative reviews saying they're overwhelmed by their popularity; that's no excuse for not taking phone calls or emails.

FlexPatio Disappointment

Like many of you, we placed our order on April 30th, with the promise of delivery in 5-15 days. I was given a May 21 delivery date, when that did not happen, I was told the 22 of May. Nope. Then I read July 1, when I questioned customer service, she then promised the date of June 12. No answer to repeated phone calls and they stopped messaging as well. I’m very disappointed in FlexPatio’s customer service and I am sorry that we decided to go with them over other competitors.
Customer service asked if we’d like the frame sent ahead of the louvers, we said sure. But nothing came. I was told they are waiting for product from overseas but their website states it’s all made here in the US. It’s been a complete hassle thus far. 5 weeks since the order was placed and no product. A BBB complaint is next. Absolutely ridiculous service.

Update to response - their offer was not satisfactory as we don’t need the one part they offered, which I told them and there hasn’t been anything further or credited.

No response after purchase

I placed an order 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing. I have called multiple times and it says their phone lines are closed even though it is within the hours that they state they are open. I have sent emails with no response. It would be nice if you could get into contact with a company that took a large payment. Very disappointed. Also, how am I supposed to schedule installation if I can't even talk to anyone. Major issues with this company and customer service.

Update: they did reach out and I received the product shortly after leaving the review and the email I sent.

I should’ve read the reviews here prior…

EDIT 7/13: A few days after my review, I got a call from a delivery company saying there is a shipment from China. I asked what is it and who it's from and they gave me some name I wasn't familiar with. Initially I thought it was a scam, but I did schedule a delivery just to see what it was. It turned out it was my FlexPatio order. Strange because in their website they said shipment is not coming from China. My contractor installed everything without any issue. The only thing is the programming for the remote is a bit finicky. We also ended up ordering an extra side screen and that got delivered fast(but again, no tracking number, no delivery information provided before hand). Updating my review to 4*. We love our pergola, I think they just still have some order/shipping issue to figure out.

EDIT 6/7: After FlexPatio reply below, I still don't have any email/tracking information from them. I asked again in their Whatsapp with no respond as well. I will update here if I ever get any response from them.

I should’ve read the reviews here prior to placing an order. As someone else here mentioned, FlexPatio team was quick to reply before purchase, answering all questions that I had. After I decided to purchase, then it’s been cricket ever since. I emailed the same person that used to reply less than a day and no response at all. I tried to contact them via whatsapp and nothing as well. It’s been a week since I placed the order and no tracking information so far. After reading all the other reviews, now I am worried that I will have to wait a long time before the item is delivered AND there’s a big possibility of shipping damage! As of now, I am giving them 2* due to responsiveness before purchase vs after purchase.
