WARNING: My Experience with Flamingo Clinic in Istanbul Was a Total Nightmare
I deeply regret trusting Flamingo Clinic with both my eyesight and my dental health. I traveled to Turkey for bilateral cataract surgery with EDOF lens implantation and extensive dental work. Instead of returning home to enjoy the results, I have spent the last several months in and out of U.S. medical offices, dealing with severe complications and accruing nearly $10,000 in additional medical debt.
Severe Eye Complications & Risk of Permanent Vision Loss
Following my eye surgery, I developed severe pain, extreme light sensitivity, bilateral inflammation, persistent blurry vision, and Cystoid Macular Edema (CME) in my right eye. At one point, the pain was so excruciating I was forced to call 911 and seek emergency room care.
I have been under the continuous care of a retina specialist in the U.S. since May—undergoing repeated examinations, OCT scans, specialized testing, and multiple medication changes. Despite months of treatment, my vision remains blurry. Crucially, my U.S. specialist informed me that an intraoperative issue occurred during surgery, and my vision impairment may now be permanent.
Neglected Dental Care
My dental care was equally disastrous. A known root-canal issue was brought up while I was at Flamingo Clinic, but was ignored before my final dental work was fitted. Once back in the U.S., I developed severe pain, swelling, bleeding, and infection that required emergency endodontic care. I have now been advised that my bridge may need to be completely removed or replaced.
Bait-and-Switch Pricing & Unethical Review Tactics
The clinical issues were compounded by shady business practices. Upon arrival, coordinator Amel attempted to add approximately $700 to the price I had been quoted prior to travel. I refused to pay it.
Furthermore, prospective patients need to understand the truth behind the clinic’s glowing social media reviews and patient videos. Immediately after my procedures—while I was still groggy and under the lingering effects of anesthesia/sedation—clinic staff asked me to record a promotional video and leave a review. I personally observed other patients being asked to do the same. An immediate testimonial recorded minutes after a procedure tells you nothing about a patient's long-term medical outcome or whether severe complications will arise weeks later.
Zero Accountability
When these severe issues surfaced, I contacted clinic owner Haithem Derradji, as well as coordinators Mohamed and Amel. Instead of providing accountability, medical support, or professional follow-up, both Mohamed and Amel, along with the clinic owner, left my communications unanswered and blocked me completely.
Fully Documented
Every single claim I am making is backed by extensive documentation. I have preserved my U.S. emergency room records, ophthalmology and retina specialist reports, OCT scans, prescriptions, dental X-rays, endodontic records, receipts, and full WhatsApp/email communication histories. I am actively pursuing legal options and filing formal complaints with the Turkish Ministry of Health.
Final Advice
Do not consider Flamingo Clinic for eye surgery, dental work, or any medical procedure. Do not rely on social media marketing, high-pressure coordinators, or instant post-op reviews. Research the specific surgeon or dentist performing your procedure—not just the marketing clinic host. I thought I was investing in my health; instead, I am left fighting for my eyesight, undergoing painful dental repairs, and facing thousands in debt.

Beware—and I mean beware. Based on my personal experience, I strongly recommend that people do their research before trusting this clinic. My experience with them was terrible and extremely disappointing. I felt that my safety was put at risk, and there were no guarantees or adequate assurances regarding the results. Nous avons été pour des soins dentaire, moi et ma femme dès la descente d'avion on est tombé sur un chauffeur qui est venu avec sa voiture personnelle qui tenait la route à la grâce de Dieu. Et une fois la 1re visite à la clinique, on n'a pas eu le temps de parler que direct il fallait les payer. Mon épouse a U le 3 à un Hollywood Smile est 3 moller arraché. Tout cela dès la 1re séance. Aucun suivi médical, aucun véritable accompagnement. Cette clinique existe juste pour prendre de l'argent Total de l'histoire mon épouse se retrouve avec les dents qui lui font mal les prothèses posées trop grandes par rapport aux dents tout cela écarté ce qui provoque des impiltrations et elle fait des abscès sur abscès. Elle a aussi une couronne fêlée y a rien qui va. Moi, j'y suis retourné un 2e fois car la 1re fois, je me suis fait poser 12 implants la 2e visite, c'était pour les couronnes, et rebelote à peine arrivé, on exige que tout soit payé et bizarrement on veut que de l'espèce. Le suivi est lamentable, le personnel change régulièrement on dirait qu'il y a un véritable turnover. Malgré qu'il soit sympathique mais ça c'est pour mieux nous amadouer. Et vraiment le montage de mes couronnes, c'est une catastrophe. Les couronnes ne sont pas en osmose avec ma gencive. Véritablement, je déconseille. Car l'expérience sera mauvaise.

We had an excellent experience with this dental clinic. My mother received 12 German Medigma dental implants, and the entire treatment process was handled professionally from start to finish. After a 6-month healing period, her final teeth were fitted, and the results exceeded our expectations. The outcome looks natural, feels comfortable, and has greatly improved her quality of life.

The clinic demonstrated honesty, professionalism, and high-quality care throughout the treatment. We especially appreciated the warranty provided, the excellent customer service, and the translation assistance, which made communication easy and stress-free.

I had a very bad experience with falmingo / Habibler Clinic in turkey after paying £5300 for dental implant treatment
During my second visit two implant had already failed before the treatment was even completed but l was NOT informed about this before payment l only found out after they had already taken the full money

Terrible experience – serious health consequences

I travelled to Turkey for a crowns treatment at Flamingo Clinic, and my experience was extremely negative. From the beginning, the crowns were excessively large, unnatural, and uncomfortable. When I raised my concerns, I was told this was “normal.”

After returning to London, my condition quickly worsened. The crowns caused constant pain, difficulty eating, abscesses, and ongoing infections. This was not just discomfort — it became a real health problem. I contacted the clinic many times, but my messages were ignored for days and sometimes weeks. When they eventually responded, my symptoms were repeatedly dismissed.

After multiple complaints, I returned to Istanbul and was examined by another doctor, arranged by Flamingo’s own management. I was clearly informed that the dental work was very poor. The crowns had significant gaps, allowing food and liquids to become trapped underneath, which directly caused infections and put my oral health at risk.

Despite having already paid for the treatment, Flamingo Clinic refused to take responsibility. I was forced to pay for a completely new treatment at another clinic, including the removal and replacement of all crowns. This resulted in further financial loss, emotional stress, and disruption to my life.

Thank you Flamingo Clinic for the outstanding dental care! I'm so happy with the results and truly appreciate the professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail from the whole team
