Professional Staff, What a Blessing.
What a great place to visit, ideally with a car of course! Called to book an MoT for our Tesla (yes, they do electric) and a service / replace the HEPA and pollen filters. Very professional young lady answered and booked the car in within a few days. I arrived very early, they were already open, all up and running, quite impressed. Very slick hand over and that was that. I must confess to switching on the camera's a few times while they had the car, all good and cracking on with the MoT then the replacement of all the filters, it's quite a messy job to get at these hence asking the garage to do it. I was called to say the MoT had passed okay, no issues, called again when the car was ready to pick up. Popped in, paid, again nice people on the front desk who actually knew what they were talking about. Off we drove all ready for another year in paradise. Thank you for the Five Star experience.

From arriving early and finding us already up and running, to keeping an occasional eye on us through the Tesla cameras, it sounds like we passed your inspection as well as the Tesla passed ours!
It’s great to hear you were impressed with the whole experience, particularly the communication and the team on the front desk. We’re also pleased we could take care of the HEPA and pollen filters and save you the messy job of getting to them yourself.

owner is extremely rude
Spoke to the owner who confirmed they could program a Tesla Model X front ECU. Paid £180 to have the car recovered to their garage. On arrival the owner refused to take the car and was extremely rude. Complete waste of time and money. Avoid.

I booked my MOT with this repair shop
I booked my MOT with this repair shop. They quoted me £850 for service + MOT work and I agreed.
A few hours later they called saying the cost is now £2200 because of an "ignition failure" they didn’t find in the first quote. They said work had already started.
My car isn’t even worth that much so I told them I don’t want the repairs and will buy a new car instead.
They then demanded, they asked me to pay £400 I still paid even though the MOT still FAILED and nothing was actually fixed.
Very unprofessional. They can’t diagnose properly, give one price then change it, and charge for work that didn’t solve anything.
Do not go here if you want honest quotes and proper MOT service.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry you were disappointed with your experience, but we’d like to clarify the circumstances.
You contacted us at very short notice after your MOT had already expired, and we accommodated your vehicle in our final available slot that day. You also requested a full service, which was completed as agreed.
During the MOT, the vehicle failed on two mandatory items: a worn front suspension joint and an illuminated engine management light. With your agreement, we carried out further diagnostics to identify the cause of the warning light. This confirmed that the DPF required replacement, and we provided you with a quotation for the repair.
You chose not to proceed with the repairs, which we fully respected. No repair work was carried out and you were not charged for any repairs. The amount paid covered the service you requested, the official MOT test and the authorised diagnostic work.
We understand that repair costs can sometimes exceed what an owner feels a vehicle is worth. However, our responsibility is to identify faults accurately and ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards. We cannot issue a pass where mandatory defects remain.
We are happy to provide copies of the MOT report, invoice and diagnostic findings should you wish to review them.

They wanted me to get all these problems fixed with them but I went to my normal garage who checked my car over and non of these problems was there 🤔
I then went to another mot garage and my car past with flying colour's.........

Thermostat housing on Merc GLA
Took my car Merc GLA to Five Star after 3 other garages (including main dealer) couldn't point to exact cause of issues was having for over a year (GPF filter getting clogged triggering engine warning light on the dashboard). The process they went though was very thorough, they were open on honest of the finings and expectation. Once they got to the bottom of the issues and fixed it (thermostat housing sensor) it was like driving a different car. They are not the cheapest garage (still cheaper than main dealer) but you really get what you pay for and they're worth it. I mainly dealt with Emma and Asif, rest of the staff are really nice and professional too. Highly recommend
