Dreadful

Ordered four kettlebells from them recently - rubbish quality. The rubber labels were pealing off in the box due to the glue degrading. They were also different to the kettlebells in the photo shown on their website. I suspect I got an older model that had been stored Somewhere hot for years.

Customer services refused to let me return to the local store as “they did not have space”. Can’t face waiting for a courier for a 50kgs of parcels. They did helpfully suggest reglueing the rubber back down.

Customer services take days to reply to every email, even if you reply to them instantly. No reply to the last three emails.

I posted a one star review on their own website seven days ago which they haven't published - explains why every product they sells seems to have glowing 4/5 star reviews from happy customers.

They’ve stopped replying to me know.

Avoid their online store. If you must buy from them use their stores so you can see what your getting - the Nottingham one has previously been very good.

We're sorry to hear that you remain dissatisfied with your experience.

When you first contacted us on 11th June regarding the adhesive on some of the kettlebell badges, we responded promptly and requested photographs so we could assess the issue. After reviewing the images you provided, we offered you two resolutions: either a full replacement of the affected products or, if you preferred to keep them, a partial refund to reflect the cosmetic nature of the issue.

You replied requesting a 50% refund. Unfortunately, this is not a level of compensation we would be able to offer for cosmetic damage, however we reiterated that we were happy to arrange a full replacement instead.

To clarify, our replacement process does not require customers to arrange their own courier. We would organise the collection of the faulty products and dispatch the replacements once collected. We have not received a response to our replacement offer, nor have we received photographs of all of the products you have stated are affected, so we have been unable to progress this further.

We would also like to address your comments regarding product reviews. All reviews submitted to our website are manually moderated before publication to ensure they do not contain offensive or inappropriate content. This manual process can occasionally result in a short delay before reviews appear, regardless of whether they are positive or negative.

Finally, we note that this same review has been posted twice within minutes of each other, so we are providing the same response to both to ensure the facts are accurately represented.

Our offer to resolve this matter by replacing the affected products remains open, and we would be pleased to assist you in completing this process should you wish to proceed.

Poor Customer Service After Care

We went to the store in Glasgow and ordered a Taurus multi gym, Also a trade mill, We paid for the these to be installed . This took a number of weeks to be arranged. When the items were delivered and installed the installers noted that a couple of items were damaged and would require immediate replacement, We contacted the customer services team on over 10 occasions and received no resolve to the situation. Only with the threat of returning the full item they arranged to come out and replace the parts. This too over 4 months .
We still have an issue that has not been resolved and still await a response from the customer services team.

Further to your response below.
The information you have provided is false and the dates are incorrect
1- The installation of the Taurus MS60 Multi gym was on the afternoon of the 25th February and not the 19th February as stated.
2- During the installation it was noted that there was a rip to the bench pad which was not just cosmetic as you have stated- other items that were damaged were footplate also
3- It was also noted that there was a sharp piece of metal sticking out the back of the bench which has caused damage to a number of pieces of clothing
4- The damage to the clothing was reported to you on the 23rd March and not as the date stated by yourself.
5- You refer to the replacement parts being a priority to be replaced however this took almost 4 months from the installation date , You mentioned these were out of stock however your customer services team advised all were in stock
6- The replacement parts were delivered and installed yesterday however it was agreed to be fitted in an AM slot when the installer arrived after 2pm he informed us that your stores person forgot to print the ticket and pick the items resulting in the delay in getting to us
7- Regarding the damaged clothing . we were contacted this morning and asked to now provide proof of purchase why was this not requested month ago when the damage was reported. (Another delay tactic)
8-You mention your team kept in communication with us to update - This is completely false as we had to contact them for updates on over 10 occasions.

I completely refute your reply
As the dates you have stated are incorrect also the damage was not just cosmetic and also the communication from you team during the timescales was non existent. only when I sent an email to remove the machine completely and issue a refund was any action taken

I can assure you I will never purchase any equipment again from Fitshop

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry that your experience has left you feeling disappointed.

We would, however, like to clarify a number of points to ensure an accurate account of events.

Your order for the Taurus MS60 multi gym, bench and bumper plates was placed on 8 February 2026 with our installation service. Our installation service has a stated lead time of up to 14 working days, which would have been explained at the time of purchase. Your equipment was delivered and professionally installed on 19 February 2026, well within this timescale. The treadmill formed part of a separate order.

During installation, our third-party installer identified some minor cosmetic damage to a small number of parts. Unfortunately, this was not reported back to our customer service team at the time, and we apologise for this communication oversight. Whilst replacement parts were required, the equipment remained fully operational and safe to use, so an immediate replacement was not necessary.

Once you contacted us regarding the cosmetic issues, we responded promptly and requested clearer photographs so we could accurately identify the affected components. These were logged on 25 March 2026, together with a photograph highlighting a small piece of metal on the rear of the bench. At this stage, you also advised that three items of clothing had allegedly been damaged. We explained that our priority was to resolve the equipment issue first, after which the clothing claim would be reviewed by a senior member of the team. We also requested further information regarding the damaged clothing to support that review.

Unfortunately, the replacement parts were not immediately available in stock and had to be sourced. While this took longer than we would have liked, the delay was outside of our direct control.

To minimise any further waiting time, we offered to send the replacement parts directly to you, as they were straightforward to fit. You advised that you would prefer an engineer to carry out the work instead. We explained that, due to engineer availability, this option could take up to four weeks, and you confirmed that you were happy to wait for this appointment.

We appreciate that you contacted us on several occasions throughout this process. A number of these calls related to the clothing claim, which we had already advised would be reviewed once the replacement parts had been fitted, as well as providing additional information we had requested.

The replacement parts have now been installed by one of our engineers. A senior member of our team has since been in contact regarding your clothing claim, and we are currently awaiting the additional information requested in order to complete our review.

We sincerely regret that this experience did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the time taken to source the replacement parts. However, we feel it is important to clarify that your installation was completed within our advertised timescales, we remained in communication throughout, and we have worked to resolve both the equipment issue and your ongoing claim as quickly as circumstances allowed.
