I am extremely disappointed with my experience with First Response Healthcare.

I contacted them because I was unwell with a high fever and was initially told that the doctor home visit would cost AED 199. However, by the end of the visit, I had been charged approximately AED 9,000+ for tests, IV treatments and other services.

My main concern is the lack of clear and transparent communication regarding the costs before the treatments were carried out. I was the adult patient, I made the booking, and I was the person receiving the treatment, yet I was not personally given a clear breakdown of the prices or the total expected cost before proceeding.

I subsequently submitted a formal complaint regarding my experience and the charges, but at the time of writing this review, I have still not received a response.

For a healthcare provider, I believe clear informed consent, transparent pricing and proper communication directly with the patient are extremely important.

Based on my personal experience, I would strongly advise anyone using this service to ask for the full price of every test, IV and treatment in writing before agreeing to anything.

I called for this service yesterday because my 72-year-old mother was suffering from a cold and flu, and I wanted to avoid the hassle of taking her to a clinic.
The doctor and nurse arrived, and within minutes of assessing her, I was told she needed to be admitted and made us feel her situation was very serious. However, I was then informed that if I opted for their home service instead, it would cost AED 6,000. To my surprise, when I questioned the price, the doctor immediately offered a discount and reduced it to AED 3,000.
This experience felt highly unprofessional and raised serious concerns about the pricing practices. I would advise others to be cautious and do their research before using this service.

Don’t fall a victim of this scam. They advertise the 199 AED doctor check up this is merely a way to get in to your house. Our baby has a flu/cold so we thought they would prescribe some antibiotics but instead we are thrown an almost 3,000 AED bill. 600 for them to do nebuliser. 725 to do an influenza test. 1500 for some bogus suppositories. Absolute joke. That too excluding some mandatory blood tests they wanted more money for!! Sorted in local medicinal clinic for less than 500 AED with honest proper doctors. These guys are just scammers and conmen dressed in doctors clothes

I cant express how this home healthcare company in Dubai was too good, I didnt expect the service to be this helpful, their medical team was on point.

Doctor Farheen and nurse nashra was very comforting as I was anxious about my symptoms, they did a thorough check and suggested me a treatment plan.

Actually I had a pathetic experience with a pediatrician, as she didn’t show any empathy with the patient ( that too a 8 months old baby) she didn’t even touch the baby and had a bad attitude( rude and unfriendly behavior) I would definitely not recommend her and this company as it’s not worth to pay her the consultation fees as she didn’t not give any proper advise or didn’t even able to examine the patient, moreover she didn’t ask the nurse to check the temperature and later she checked it upon insisting. And regarding the suppository which is prescribed is only 8 AED and the nurse was telling its 250 including the nursing charges which is again ripping the patient.

This kind of business should be reported to avoid any kind of exploration to patients as they run their business on the basis of fear.

Avoid at all costs- received incorrect treatment causing injury - could not get hold of WhatsApp support for whole day after I gave money. Ignored all messages

Cost transparency was an issue for me.

Fees were only discussed once the doctor was already present.

I was quoted 11,800 AED for tests and IV treatment.

The same services from another doctor cost 2,500 AED.

I recommend confirming all pricing in advance.

Pricing was not clear upfront.

Costs were explained only after arrival and were significantly higher than expected.

Doctor was unethical in her charges and was money-hungry not health-oriented.

A salesman (doctor) Ahmad came over for a fee of 300AED which is acceptable fee as my son had high fever and runny nose. I wanted to establish if he had viral or bacterial infection and if he would need antibiotics.

After checking his throat, temperature and his chest, he concluded that only way he can tell is if I purchase a 4000AED (€1000) swab test to determine what it is. A qualified doctor was unable to determine probable cause of infection from examination and was stating “you have health insurance, you can claim it back”. This is a scam. Once I said not interested, he left faster than he came. Complete cowboy.

ChatGPT said that the symptoms were most likely viral due to congestion of nose and today my son is a lot better with temperature under control. Scare tactics with unqualified sales doctors, stay away

My partner visited Dubai recently to spend some time with me. As she had been feeling ill for 6 days and it was the weekend I contacted First Response as they state a medical practitioner can be sent round to our home within 45 minutes

On the plus side they did turn up within 45 minutes, three members from their team arrived, which seemed a bit OTT

Their consultancy fee was a modest 200 AED, US $65. The sting in the tail is that everything they recommended (medicine, drip, repeat visits etc) would have added a further 16,000 AED, approx US $5,000!
