Complete joke, bought a tool for 500dkk (plus more tools) and the numbers engraved in it is double engraved crocket on itself and it looks rubbish, I tell them and they just say: unfortunately we live in a human world not a perfect world so no refund or new product for you. Completely joke of a company. Also they say if I buy a new one they can’t guarantee it won’t have the same or even worse mistakes on it. Not shopping here again.

I've shopped at this site several times now, and every time everything has arrived promptly, well packed and as described.

I'm very happy with the service. First time ordering from Dieter Schmid Fine Tools but ordered a Granfors Bruks axe having been let down by another retailer. Axe was delivered quickly, I'll certainly be a return customer.

Excellent service, great selection of top of the range tool. If it's precision and accuracy you need this the go to company. After credit this the only choice of top tools available to woodpeckers in Ireland.

Excellent web site - products and pricing presented clearly, and in a well organised manner.
My emailed queries were answered quickly, patiently, intelligently, knowledgeably - there's a good range of products here, and Dieter knows about them - obvious opportunities to "upsell" to a level of saw I didn't need were simply ignored - quite the opposite in fact. I had a few problems paying, since my credit card is registered in a different country to the delivery address, but, again, everything was solved quickly and without fuss.
Absolutely zero hesitation in purchasing from here again.

Great webpage and better service

Ordered two sharpening stones and a machinist square on a Sunday. Next day they were picked and sent to DHL. Received them in Finland about a week later. Package was well cushioned and products were what I had ordered. They also included a complimentary pouch of jellybeans, which was nice.

Overall my experience was 5/5. I can almost quarantee I will make my next woodworking related purchase from Dieter Schmid's Fine Tools.

I feel obliged to write this review because there's only one other reviewer regarding this company. Before I ordered from them I looked online for the reviews but could not find any except a couple of threads on forums. Even there people seemed to not have experience with this company, just assuming they would be good due to their website and a lot of information on it. I trusted my gut feeling and this other reviewer on Trust Pilot and went ahead and bought a Japanese Freeway coping saw with some extra blades from Dieter Schmid - Fine Tools. So here it goes;

The Company:
Great. No issues whatsoever. You can trust them and go ahead and buy from them if you want. Their service is good and I can't fault them.

Communication:
Great. Received a confirmation email immediately after the purchase. Then I've got an email with updates and shipping details. A link to the tracking page. Fantastic. Fortunately, I haven't need to use their customer services so I can't advise you on that, but I assume it would be fine if you need their help since everything else was very smooth.

Shipping:
Fast and as promised. I ordered it on Monday and got it delivered the following Friday. It took five days to get from Germany to UK, door to door. At the company were very quick with handling and shipping my items. I was able to track the parcel all the way to UK. This was the first 2 days. Once the parcel arrived to UK on the 3rd day the story changed regarding tracking and I wouldn't hear from the courier until Friday when they notified me that it was with the courier and out for delivery, about 4 hours prior to the stated times of delivery. It was DHL and I understand the last leg was handled by the UK Mail from which I received an email.

Packaging:
Awesome. If only a little too big box for the size of my items. It could be smaller, but the box was thick cardboard and super sturdy. I'm keeping the box. Inner packing was included, my items were padded and super secured to say the least.

Items:
As described and pictured. I'm very happy.

On the way out I would just like to say the company is reliable and prompt. Trust them.

Good choice of quality hand tools and not only, mainly for woodworking, sharpening, finishing and the like.
Also excellent source for quality router bits. Japanese tools - all kinds.
Excellent description of products. Complete and accurate.
Low shipping price if you opt to use DHL, at least for where I live.
You can totaly trust what you see is what you get.
Would recommend any time.
