Kinder surprise
After experiencing opening a box of three kinder eggs with all 3 toys inside identical- I emailed and the issue has been resolved very quickly - thank you very much
they would rather upset a child than replace a cheap little plastic toy
I bought my 2 grandsons individual kinder eggs. They opened them ate the chocolate and put the wrapper in bin then opened the little yellow eggs. One was fine and had both halves of a rabbit, the other was missing half a squirrel. I emailed them explaining what had happened, got an email back from them with no offer of a whole squirrel being posted out and instead asking for all of this information:
Full postal address
- Pack size
- Best before date
- Full Batch Code including a clear image of the code (You will find this under the best before date)
- Product weight
- Surprise code (the code on the toy or leaflet)
- Purchased from
- EAN (barcode)
and saying they could not even log the complaint without it. The price of a kinder egg is not cheap and I explained how upset my grandson was. All I wanted was a whole plastic squirrel, is that too much to ask from a company that turned over 18.4 billion last year. They would rather let a child cry than replace a cheap plastic toy that was missing from their product
Fat glaze all ovet brown chocolate
Complained about poor standard product, chocolate looked like it had a white fat glaze all over. sent in all relevant information requested. Then got an email asking for all the information again. Sent that off and it’s been over 4 months and haven’t heard anything since. Such a waste of time!

If I could leave zero stars I would. After contacting this company due to substandard chocolate, I provided photos, date of purchase, batch number etc. I then heard nothing back so I contacted them. They promised to send a voucher and like other customers complaints on here, this never arrived. Their customer service needs a good overhaul. Their prices I notice have gone up again. I would never purchase anything from this company again due to the way they treat their customers.

Absolute disgrace..
Absolute disgrace... that this high profile Chocolate company, owned by International brand Ferrero, can't even fulfil a small Easter Egg order and will now leave Children very upset and disappointed. They have cancelled my order as 'lost' after I've waited over two weeks, just before the Easter celebrations begin. Cruel and mean, and no concept of what this means to kids and how they might be affected. Shame on you Thorntons.

I ordered from Thornton's Chocolates years ago and found the service appalling. Having not made a purchase for about 15yrs I thought I'd give them another try. Guess what the service is even worse than previously. This time they send out Advent Calendar's to children but fail to include the message. The child is happy to receive but is unaware from where they came. When this was pointed out to Ferrero (current owner) customer service they said the greeting message didn't form part of the contract and there was nothing they could do. Rest assured I won't accept this but I thought I'd warn you so you don't make the same mistake, there are numerous other providers of such mediocre chocolate

Another bad review about being promised a voucher to replace mini eggs i brought that were recalled. I contacted them twice about it and they promised twice. But still nothing, certainly wont be buying there products at Christmas or Easter again.

Absolutely shocking customer service. I contacted them following the recall for their Easter products, they offered me a voucher to which I said no and requested a full refund (as per my statutory right). They sent me an email confirming that the voucher had been sent but I never gave them my address!! I’ve made several attempts at contacting them since and I’ve had no reply. It’s disgusting. They’ve basically stolen money from me. I’ve never experienced such awful customer service and will never buy from them again.
