The Fastrack V8 Race Experience drive was fantastic and the staff were all professional and helpful.
But I would like to call out Craig Scutella my driving coach in the car with me who was just awesome, making a very good experience just amazing!

The team at Fastrack were amazing! I bought the experience for my 97 year old father - ex-racing car driver ER Burnett-Read (Bob) 1955 Port Wakefield Australian Grand Prix, Collingrove Hill Climb etc.
They were so supportive and took incredible care of him throughout the entire time!
Dad loved the whole experience of being behind the wheel of such a powerful car!
Thanks so much to the Team from Dad’s children!

Edit - Apparently despite the detail, Fastrack didn't believe I had a "genuine experience with them", so they flagged my review. A similar negative review has also since been taken down. I have managed to reinstate this one.

Good experience, great instructors, but a lot of caveats, would not recommend for a real gearhead as you will see through the facade.

*V8 "Supercars" are not supercars at all, they are 200hp weaker than the actual thing, sitting at about 400hp - the equivalent of a top line Ford Falcon (XR8) or Holden Commodore - retailing at about $30,000. At least don't call them "V8 Supercars"

*Told they offered automatic (I know its "racecars" and manual isn't common), but had to mention it about 7 times, and wait more than 40 minutes (not exaggerating in either of those) in the pits before one was available. Plus, the automatic had a very sloppy transmission, with a fair amount of lag.
- In fact, I had approximately 15 minutes of driving, but spent around 1h 30 minutes in total just waiting (queue, start etc). Not an exaggeration, a solid estimate.

*Overpriced - Whilst it is already imo pricey as an experience, they also are ruthless with extras and push them (we were pushed the extras for over 2 minutes before even being given the safety briefing) - $60 for a recording (with incredibly quiet audio, unhearable in-car sound, poor quality video, in a bargain USB that exports the file slowly), extra money for a racing balaclava, $35 for a damage waiver, $60 for a photo they force you to take and then expect you to pay for, $100 for extra laps. You are made well aware.

Overall, good fun once you got in the car, and the instructors are good, but the enjoyment is outweighed by all the annoyances.

Bought 2 hot laps for my husbands birthday and then joined him with my own hot laps to tick this off my bucket list. Awesome! The experience was amazing. The team very helpful; the drivers so professional. Was also impressed how inclusive it was with a gentleman in a wheelchair and a lady with some special needs supported to have this awesome experience too. Would do it again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it if you are looking for an exhilarating experience.

Hubby bought me a 4 lap drive experience at Bathurst for Christmas. Did it 2 days ago. OMG, it was absolutely sensational! Was extremely professionally run by the most friendly and helpful staff. The driving coach I had was amazing and extremely experienced. He guided me around the track and explained everything. The framed picture and the USB of the drive was awesome. Highly recommend this experience, I didn’t want it to end. You will not be disappointed.

I was given my V8 experience as a gift and it was a fantastic experience. I was disappointed though when I took to the wheel as my helmet audio was not working and I relied solely on hand gestures which was very distracting, also purchased a USB which recorded my drive but did not record my hot laps which I was the most excited to see. Other then that it was a very adrenaline filled day and would highly recommend.

A great experience. I wish I could have done more laps. The co-driver was very helpful without being over-talkative. The setup of the cars is spot on and they are so easy to drive.

This was my first time ever doing anything like this, I was a bit disappointed as I couldn’t hear the in car communication with the instructor which made it very hard to know what to do, there where other people on the day saying the same things that they couldn’t hear, we got a USB recording of the drive which you could tell that I couldn’t hear anything as the instructor had to try and use hand signals, which was really hard to concentrate on the driving and trying and watch what he was telling me to do with his hand signals!!

It was an awesome experience. Something I will do again in the future.
Only bad thing I have to say is it was a long day, especially for my friends and family who came to watch.
It was alright for the adults but unfortunately the kids got bored and restless.

Was awesome from start to finish,your staff were terrific and so was John bowe, had the best time,already spoken to a few friends about it,the only thing was that there was no footage on the USB stick,but hey it’s all good and thanks again

Loved the ride and John was a terrific person he was so friendly you could talk to him about anything. However there needs to be a facility for customers to check there USB if they have purchased one as my one didn’t work when I got home. But other than that it was a great day.

I had an awesome time 👍 it was very well organised and the staff were lovely. It’s a shame it’s so expensive as I would love to do it again. Unfortunately due to the price, a lot of people would miss out on a wonderful experience.

As soon as we got there everything ran like clockwork. Dad loved the experience. The only reason I gave it three stars is because paid for the in car video recording but never received it due to a stuff up on their end. Which is a shame because he wanted to keep it as a memory. yes they did refund the money back, but really should have offered us another session.

What a day! This has been a bucket list item for me for years now. Living only 15 minutes from Sandown and having followed V8 supercars for as long as i can remember i'm so glad to cross it off my list. Such a well organized, exhilarating event. Quality equipment, staff and instructors. The added bonus of 3 hot laps as a passenger with the legendary John Bowe at the wheel was amazing!
I couldn't recommend this experience any more highly to anyone with an interest in motorsport.

To be honest it was not what I expected.
I only paid $50 for my drive ticket of a friend so it was still worth it. But I feel like the cars are just dressed up street cars or something. Great cornering but zero straight line speed. My VW is faster.
Also I won’t be naming names, but I think it would be a good idea for the coaches/drivers to be wearing a different colour track suit to the patrons.
I was sitting in my car waiting for my coach.
And someone was put in my car and I was given a ticket.
I had been mistaken for a professional driver!
And very nearly drove out of the pits with some random lady in her 60S as my driving coach!
Until I realised what was going on and luckily told one of the pit crew.

If anything the spectators get a little bored and restless waiting . Maybe need something to keep them entertained .

I was frankly surprised by the size and professionalism of the whole event. It was an event for the track not just going for a drive, from sign in, photos, food and viewing areas too.
The team were very professional and efficient dealing with so many people all at once too. The cars were excellent and instructors professional and helpful and patient. Well done all around.
