Beware! Very misleading! Very disappointed! Total scam!

I became a victim of these fraudulent miss leading scam artists advertising new sunglasses! I was taken in by their so called professional advertising on the web and the customer service recordings that mislead me to believe that this is a real company selling you new items! Only to find out that what I got was a used pair of sunglasses that smelled like cigarette smoke and scratches on the lens! Obviously these were used sunglasses bought from some online auction. The turnaround to have the glasses took 2 weeks before I was notified of it being shipped! The customer service representative was just some rude woman who accused me of swapping new glasses that they "claimed" to have sent me and I was trying to scam them and hung up on me! I cannot recommend this company and very disappointed...

Terrible rude and dishonest

Called to find out what size the glasses are the website has it at a 0.
The lady answered the phone Hello not a company name just hello. I asked her what size, she said order online and we will email you. I asked do you have it in stock same response and hung up.

IS'IT JUST A FRAUDE ?? UP TO YOU !

I order two J. Varvados frames. They never send them (more than 1 month ago). They ask me to pay wiring "transfer the funds to a bank account due to the high sum of the order & International". I paid 300 USD they didn't give me any track number for shipping. They even don't answer the phone when they see the call from Italy. Ho do you call this?

Rude and unacceptable customer service.

Apparently this company cannot supply spare parts that can be easily fixed to the glasses locally ie a spare arm? You have to send your glasses to them. What then stops them from ruining them for you? When I advised them that I felt their site was misleading their response was 'oh well.' How unprofessional is that?

ABSOLUTE SCAM AND RIPOFF

This is a Scam and this is how it works in 5 easy steps.
1 You see glasses online and order and pay. They will immediately put a Purchase Authorisation on your card which can last from 5 to 14 Days.
2 NOW starts the scam! There is a problem with the order, either not accepting your card due to their “Risk Management Department” advice, then they will ask you to send cash by direct transfer giro post etc. If you do this you have no comeback like a Credit Card Company would give. You are basically screwed and locked into buying from them, OR , If you argue the point they may agree to proceed with the purchase using your credit card.
3 Now they have a problem with the glasses and cannot ship them to you due to “inspection prior to shipping found a crack in the frame etc“. Select another pair they suggest. Probably they never had the pair you wanted in the first place.
4. As they already have your money/credit card most people will select another pair you may not real want. THIS IS THE TRICK!
5. OK now you must decide to cancel or accept another pair.
6. Try calling the customer help line. WELL! If you want to be hung up on, abused, rudeness and threatened then call this customer help line. Never in my life have I ever come across a person like this and still be in business.
My gut feeling is this company is a one man band, a woman, whose attitude to customers is appalling and whose business ethics are very questionable.

Fraudsters !!!! (A REVIEW FROM UK BUYER)

BEWARE !!!
I work in optics, in London, England, United Kingdom, and am totally frustrated by their behaviour. These ARE NOT people to trust, much to my own mistake.

NON EXISTANT/FAKE SALES, went through the website, through payment by VISA, got the order confirmation from them, saying dispatch in few days. PAID for fast international shipping of $40, stating 3/5 days. And 10 days later nothing !

No delivery, emailed them to ask where my order is to be told, their fraud department refused a sale?? and advised them to get a money transfer from me!! (for an average amount = 1 frame, no where near as most expensive product on their site) So why was it refused when my bank gave a verified consent for payment?? Asked by them to bank transfer or bankers draft them the money instead and write the frame details on the back of it.; LEAVING ME NO PROTECTION FROM FRAUD !! or no trackable method of a sale even taking place !!!
Why say you take card payments and then cant?

What kind of reputable company asks people to pay that way, when it says on their site VISA/MASTERCARD and debit/credit cards accepted ?????

I then try ringing the calling from UK number on their website, no such number exists either. So i ring via the states number advertised (Im in the UK) to get a rude lady asking what i want, i say i'm chasing my order for eyewearpros...she says well ring back tomorrow in trade hours! then hangs up.
So Then why are you answering a supposed works phone to customers in the first place if you aren't going to help, and why not answer with the companies trade name??? Unless its a home line and even if it is, do you speak to everyone that way????

Now hoping to the heavens that when i check my bank account out tomorrow, that i havent been rinsed out by them! VERY SUSPICIOUS, PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF THESE PEOPLE !!!!!!

I found an item I was interested in and had to enter my email address to add this to my cart to see delivered pricing etc.

I then searched for reviews and decided I wanted to cancel this based on terrible reviews. There is no obvious option to cancel the item, so I closed the web page.

I received a follow up from eyewearorders team - Bill Spadaro - offering assistance with incomplete basket.

I replied with:
"Not interested thank you.
Please remove my email address"

That should have been the end of it.
They then replied with the following typed to me in CAPS:

WHY DID YOU PUT INTO YOUR SHOPPING CART?

Who would want to do business with anyone that communicates with a potential/lost customer in this way?

Do not do business with this so-called 'retailer'

Worst experience I've ever had with an online retailer. I ordered a product, was informed by email the next day that it was discontinued and not available and the person tried to upsell me on eyewear repairs. I responded with a direct request to cancel my order. The next day I received another email saying, guess what, they had found a pair for me. In the meantime I had easily ordered from another company. I wrote back asking if they read English, as I clearly requested my order be cancelled, I had purchased elsewhere and did not want to buy from them. In the meantime I went online to my credit card account and saw they had a hold on a charge representing the original order that they could not fulfill. They wrote again trying to sell me a different frame. When I wrote back and protested their hold on a charge for a product they never shipped, they wrote back with a very verbally abusive and threatening email, and said that to punish me they would keep the hold on my credit card for the full 14 days they are entitled to. I will be contacting my cc company on Monday.

Worst company & customer service ever!!!!

My story is just like the other terrible reviews. After placing my order I was emailed (by some guy named Bill Bill Spadaro which in the end turned out to be some woman who was extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY rude and far beyond unprofessional) that the item I order they didn't infact have. When I tried to follow up and cancel my order with a phone call I was harassed, then hung up on. All I wanted was a email confirmation that my order was canceled and to know that my credit card would not be charged. I tried to call back multiple times, but was repeatedly hung up on. I decided to just call my credit card company and have the charges revoked. WORST COMPANY EVER. THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE IN BUSINESS. AND please read the other reviews and visit the Better Business Bureau and see for yourself they have an "F" rating. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They are snakes, liars and thieves.

fames good, lenses ok

frames were exactly what i was looking for and script seems right. the lenses were not exactly what i expected...they seem to have reflection (though i paid for all lens upgrades) . but overall not bad.

seller of damaged and repaired merchandise advertised as new **SCAM**

It does not appear this site sells "brand new" merchandise as advertised. My merchandise was shipped directly to me from outside the country. Lenses of the eyeglasses were damaged. Eyewearorders threatened to pursue me in court if I didn't either accept a small discount or return the items for a partial refund totaling about 75% of cost, after fees. Customer Service appears to have two modes: sweetness and helpfulness until money is received; belligerence and threatened legal action to avoid returns and refunds. Classic scam business - selling damaged goods as new. If you've been scammed, file a police report and submit reviews on Yelp and other sites.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT EYEWEAR ORDER

Stupid lady finally answers the phone after about 10 calls, yells, and hangs up! I've been waiting on my sunglasses since beginning of July! Due to traveling, it totally slipped my mind, but finally realized I never received an email other than the first order confirmation. After not getting an answer over phone, I read the below reviews and was livid! I called expecting BS and that's exactly what I got! I even had my credit card company on the phone at the same time. This lady hangs up on both of us! I am currently disputing the charge and getting my card # changed since it's in the confirmation email she sent! This is a bunch of craziness that I've never before experienced! I'm only clicking a star at all for ratings because it won't let me through otherwise! They get '0' stars!

I placed an order on the 14th May 2015 for a pair of women's Oliver Peoples sunglasses. I made payment with my American Express card and paid a fee for expedited shipped so the item would arrive in 3-5 business days as they were a birthday gift. I received a confirmation email and assumed everything was ok. The following day I received an email from them stating as I reside in Hong Kong they do not accept international credit cards and requested a bank transfer into their account which was done the same day. I heard nothing so I sent them an email asking had payment been received and when the sunglasses would be dispatched; I received a reply saying they would ship in 2 business days, 2 days later I still didn't have a tracking number. I decided to call them but as everybody else who has posted on the site my call was answered by the aggressive rude female who said if 'I didn't stop calling she would report me for harassment'. I then received another email informing me they expected delivery of the glasses by the end of the day and they would be dispatched immediately. Today I have received a email informing me they are on holiday next week so they will not be sent. I made a further telephone call to them this morning and the female just put the receiver down on me, so a sent an email informing them as I was going on vacation the 3rd June 2015 for 6 weeks and would not be here to accept the package and I wished to cancel my order. I then received a further email; it contained numerous spelling mistakes and was of a threatening manner. It advised me I was unable to cancel the order as the sunglasses I had ordered were 'of old' stock' which is in fact incorrect and it was unreasonable of me to expect delivery to Hong Kong in 3-5 business days. I have made numerous purchases online from the USA and have no problem in them arriving in such a time frame. I have today appointed my legal representation to deal with this. I have made a formal request in writing to cancel my order and a complaint has been made to Consumer Frauds Bureau and the Department of State, Division of Consumer Protection to advise them of the sham of a business this woman is operating. Avoid her at all costs.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER

Everyone is right on their reviews. I wish I searched before buying from this so called company. It is a one women show. Very rude, yelled at me, hung up, she said she will send me supina for stealing the glasses. So I ordered a Giorgio Armani pair of glasses for $219. I received a used no tags pair of glasses in a shoe box with oxidation on the bottom frame. I actually seen these glasses on ebay for $69.99 and I was going to buy them. I didn't so she did and sold them to me for $219. Also the color is different than what I ordered. So she said I have 2 options. Keep the glasses with a $50 discount or return them for a refund minus the 20% restocking fee. I told her I shouldn't be charged 20 % because she sent me the wrong color. I told her I will dispute this with my credit card company and she said I will be sent to court. So will see what happens. I requested a full refund today. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP THIS WOMEN FROM STEALING AND LYING TO PEOPLE. I NEVER GIVE A REVIEW BUT THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD AND I ALWAYS BUY STUFF ONLINE. ITS A SCAM. SHE BUYS THINGS FROM EBAY OR OTHER WEBSITES AND SELL IT TO YOU AT A HIGHER PRICE.

Nothing but a scam

Do not use these scam artists. I will be filing a lawsuit against this illegitimate company.
This women is a one man show, conducting fraud on every level.
I ordered a pair of glasses months ago. They denied charging my card, followed by telling me they did charge my card, then was promised a refund has been set fourth, then miraculously was told that they have my glasses and are in the mail.
Well today I received a package but guess what???
The box was empty!!!
That's right, nothing in it. I've filed a dispute and surely will get my money back.
This company needs to be shift down!!!

terrible firm

ordering glasses and payed 35 dollars to get them delivered within 3-4 days....that is 24 days ago...i have received a tacking number so i still think i get my goods....but what a waste of time....NEVER EVER buy ANYTHING from this company....

i have learned 1 thing out of this....check trustpilot BEFORE you buy something on the net
