In 2019 this company raised almost two million dollars for a "production ready" product, Microdrone 4.0 via the Indiegogo crowd sourcing platform.

To date, in the seven long years that have passed since we paid our money, we have not yet received either product or refund. It's very clear that the product was not as described - "production ready"

A long litany of contradictory excuses were posted on the project site, and on this company's blog. Last update was almost a year ago now,

While the company seeks to distance itself from the relevance of this failure, to emphasise the time passed since, I'd advise potential customers to do their digging on the internet before placing an order. I've waited seven years, how long will you wait?

I ordered a drone at a Megacon convention. I was told it would delivered within 1 week. Since then I have received nothing and had no correspondence. Emails are ignored, phone calls go through to a messaging service and are ignored. It's impossible to get hold of them

Update: The company finally got hold of me off the back of this review on 19th May. They said my drone was in a Royal Mail repository in Chester. I live nowhere near Chester. They asked for my number and then I heard nothing for another week. I chased again and eventually the drone arrived on 8th June.

This was a birthday present for my son: he is happy to have it now but it was a massive disappointment at the time.

The drone is great - really awesome and my son is delighted. If this was a review of the product I'd be well up there with a 5 star review. Not great in wind but it is tiny so I'd be surprised if it was.

But as a company...they promised it would be delivered for Easter only for it to show up 2 months later after endless chasing via their official support email, official phone number, instagram, Facebook etc.

During this experience, I have found quite a community of people in similar circumstances, so I'd exercise extreme caution in dealing with this company,

My advice - give them money only when they put the product in your hand.

I believe Vernon Kerswell is an upstanding gentleman. He has never stopped communicating and has always responded to all of my inquiries. Everyone falls on bad times and gets stung one way or another. Some fall and never get up. It is the courageous that begin again. I am with Vernon and Extremefliers. PS To everyone, you knew there was no guarantee of delivery. I can name some crowd-fund pigs that just took the money and poof gone. I lost too. But again I say, I knew what I was getting myself into. Sometimes good, sometimes not, so what... next. PSS I believe that will not be the case with Vernon. He is a person with integrity. Allan M

Well I would love to fly any product from extremefliers but up until now they take you money and do not deliver anything not give an answer via email of phone.
They are scammers and take your money without even blinking your eyes.

Reaction: very interesting your reaction. Just google Microdrone 4.0 or the company and you will leer that this companies owner willingly scammed an entire ondiegogo community.
And btw I have send multiple emails to exactly that address and never ever did anything get resolved.

Great support from the team for my Micro Drone. Easy to use once you work out the controls and easy to repair which is what my boy needed for his first drone.

Worst project at the worst crowdfunding website Indiegogo. Nothing since 7 years. The money (around 1.5 million £) ist gone for NOTHING! Scam.

I've been flying the new NEO version of the Micro Drone 3.0 for about a week now and love it. Being able to hover and not worry about the drone flying off is a game changer.

After 6 years no drone or refund. What to say? We just got scammed by Vernon. I was part of indiegogo and bought drone, 2 batteriesand and remote control. At least we know this scam stops here.

I contributed to the MicroDrone 4.0 campaign on Indiegogo in 2019 and have received nothing so far, except meaningless promises that they will take care of it.

A truly legendary Indiegogo scam. Millions of dollars missing, a campaign owner who to this day is blaming the pandemic of five years ago, and now Indiegogo has memory-holed the entire project, leaving no record that it ever existed, and importantly, their role in enabling it. How is this fraud not massively illegal??

They lied in 2019 when they said they had a production ready drone with a guaranteed delivery of June 2019. Their crowdfunding page had many paragraphs about how this wasn't like regular crowd funding as the product was complete, thoroughly tested and only needed money for the production run. These have since been deleted but can be found on waybackmachine. The amount of lies and excuses since then has been astonishing, the disrespect towards backers appalling and the fact they are still dragging this out 6 years later is a joke.

I bought a Micro Drone 3.0 from the Maker Central show and have had no issues at all. Good product and support. Seem to be a lot of fake reviews complaining about the company on social media. Competitors maybe? No problem from my experience.

Please do not be taken in by the very Flashy and professional look. was at a show recently, (will be writing to them too to say black list.) it was enticing and I was enticed! but went back to the hotel that night gave a cursory look at the website and am ashamed to say should have looked much closer as I the next day inadvertently when I mentioned a "product" on the site somehow think it might have encouraged a couple of of others to buy too - I am Sorry - I fell for it as well now have a lovely looking bag of drone that will never see the freedom of the sky.

The company may have had good intentions when started but now its a brilliant way of selling defective stock.
The website/s have missing telling details, if you look the social media sites there are no good ways of direct mediation. please do your own digging including companies house before considering doing any business with them.

I was one of the people who contributed to the $2m Mr Kerswell ran off with; 5+ years down the line we still have nothing, and after this amount of time it's hard to imagine we ever will
People would be well advised not to purchase from a company that regards their end of a sale, the supplying a product bit, as entirely optional

My son bought MicroDrone 2.0 and out of the box the drone did not fly. We got in touch with the support, they recommended to change one of the arms and sent it to us. After the replacement the drone still did not fly, and the support stopped answering.

Hanno truffato tutti, la piattaforma di Idiegogo e migliaia di sostenitori. Nel 2018 hanno dichiarato di avere in prototipo e di essere pronti per la produzione. Hanno incassato più di un milione e mezzo di dollari senza consegnare nulla. Hanno detto di aver subito ritardi per il COVID ma a distanza di più di 4 anni non hanno ancora consegnato nulla.
Inutili le richieste di rimborso sia da parte di ExtremFliers che di Indiegogo.

If I could give 0 star, I would. As a company it's a disgrace. They promise to deliver a product (Micro drone 4) but in the end they keep the investors in the dark. They respond request with empty words, gives barley any information, they are not transparent and show alot of disrespect to the people who supported them and tried to contact them. Never trust them.

I wish I could select ZERO stars. This is a scam company. Vernon Kerswell should be in jail. Do not trust this company

AVOID THESE SCAMMERS

Thousands of people including me have been left out of pocket because of these crooks. Avoid anything that Extreme Fliers and Vernon Kerswell might be involved in.
