My existing Envirovent Silent 100 had stopped working but was over 20 years old, so for simplicity I purchased the Envirovent SIL100HT Silent Fan + Humidistat from Extractor Fan World online. Delivery was fine and it was straight forward to install. I found adjusting the factory setting for the timed over-run a bit fiddley but it works well and I'm glad I went for the humidistat version.

It has has been a week since I made the order, I have not received my order or update on my order

So farso good extractor working fine. However l made same assumption 3 years ago and did ask for usual manufacture guarantee. It broke and l newly replaced by another purchase. How do l register my guarantee?

Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience.

I ordered the fan on 26th Sept. The delivery company initially failed to deliver because no one was home, so the parcel was taken to a post office on the other side of town with very limited opening hours. I contacted Extractor Fan World, who were helpful at first and said that once the item was returned to them, they could rearrange delivery to a new address.

On 3rd Oct, I provided my work address to ensure I could receive it. On 8th Oct, I received confirmation that they would send it to my work address. However, by 16th Oct I had received no updates, so I emailed to cancel the order. By 24th Oct, I still hadn’t heard anything, so I emailed again to ask about the refund.

On 25th Oct, I then found a parcel left outside my front door — the fan had been delivered. This was baffling, as I had cancelled the order, redirected it to my work address, and the original reason for the failed delivery was that they wouldn’t leave it when I wasn’t home. This time, however, it was simply left outside.

I informed Extractor Fan World, but received no reply. I chased again on 27th Oct. On 29th Oct, I finally received a very brief email saying the item must be returned via the online portal, with no explanation. I replied, asking for clarity, but they had no explanation.

I returned the parcel on 30th Oct and can see it was delivered back to them on 3rd Nov. I received no confirmation that it had been received. On 6th Nov, I emailed to ask when the refund would be processed. I was told it would take 7 days, plus a further 2–3 days to appear in my account.

By 21st Nov, I had still received no refund or further communication, so I had to go through my bank to recover the money — almost two months after placing the order.

Overall, the whole experience felt extremely disorganised and unprofessional. It honestly felt like this was the first time Extractor Fan World had ever done business. A complete mess.

I ordered an extractor fan which turned out to be unsuitable. Very easy process for return and Matt went above and beyond to help me find the correct fan. He followed up with a lengthy email recommendation and even a diagram for the electrician. Would definitely recommend this company

Quick service. The fan is amazingly quiet! Not fully installed yet, but hopeful that it will extract moist air effectively.

Dislike the converter kit. Spoils the overall appearance of the Tornado fan ("discrete"). Wasted my money!

In the process of converting the existing 150mm hole with a 110mm wall pipe and foam (will be experimenting with two foam rubber hoops - when they arrive - to hold pipe in position whilst foam sets...).

The square cover of the fan is big enough to hide the 150mm pipe and I have made good the surrounding wall (where a plaster vent was previously fixed).

Order turned up exactly as expecting with no issues at all. Good service.
