Needed an acoustic amp for weekend gig. Saw Express Music had the amp I was after. I was cutting it fine, but they were super helpful and arranged super quick tracked delivery before midday next day at no extra cost. Arrived next morning and is perfect! Great price too. Quick and easy transaction

This is my second purchase from Express.
Fed Ex delivery was seamless. The bass (a used Squier with no case) was very well packed. The P&P change was, therefore, fair and reasonable.
The bass was as described, with one exception:
It was advertised as "given a full setup", but the intonation is off. Now, as a fretless, I did think that maybe they were using a different intonation point to me (although this is lined bass, with a 12th "fret" line at exactly 17" from the nut), but the strings are all sharp by different degrees. The E is only just sharp, the D and G are a semi tone sharp.
The strings are definitely new and look like Fender or Diaddarios.
I can adjust the intonation, so I haven't contacted the shop.
Its 4 stars though, because if you state "full set up" its reasonable to expect a bass to arrive as such.
Other than that, everything was good and I would happily buy from them again.

They were fast and efficient at answering my questions, by email, about the guitar I was thinking of buying. Even offering me the opportunity to visit in the shop. However, that was impractical for me because of where I live. They despatched the guitar straightaway and kept me informed at every stage.

Brilliant welcome in the shop from Tim and the other owners, very relaxed atmosphere. The store was stocked with dozens of high end professional instruments. Made a long journey there as my local store no longer stock Fender USA guitars, I was not disappointed.
I purchased a guitar and bass which were perfectly set up for my liking, could not be happier, many thanks.

I initially left a 3 star review due to the guitar not being setup meaning it was almost impossible to play beyond the 5th fret. I received a call within about an hour where they couldn’t have been more apologetic for the issue. They confirmed it had been setup and the change was likely down to the trus rod not being properly tightened and loosening during transit. I told them I would be taking it to a workshop tomorrow to be sorted out and they asked me to email once the work is complete and they’ll reimburse the costs.

All in all, I’m super pleased with Express. Things can and do go wrong, what matters is how you deal with it and they couldn’t have done more to address the issue. And of course, the guitar is great.
