Europcar at Kalamata airport is farmed out to a local Greek company called HELLAS RENTAL SOLUTIONS IKE who appears to work under franchise. It is not clear how many of their rental policies are their own or those of Europcar. We returned the car with a very small scratch for which they charged us 421.03 Euros. When we questioned this sum as being excessive and a mere moneymaking scheme, one of the employees became aggressively argumentative, laughing and saying we didn’t know how much such a repair would cost in Britain. But we do. The guy who actually processed all the paperwork was matter of fact and just doing his job.
On pick-up HELLAS RENTAL SOLUTIONS presented us with a car with a half-full tank of petrol saying they had a like for like petrol policy. That’s not the best option for the customer. Reputable companies generally have a full-to-full policy on petrol, which is much easier for the renter when returning the car.
All in all, customer service at Europcar at Kalamata airport was surly and not very friendly. The car was fairly old and basic, with a fair amount of scratches on it, but ok to drive.

Nous avons payés une prestation pour un confort. Logique d’avoir un véhicule à cette demande, et bah non!
À l’arrivé la voiture n’étais pas propre à l’intérieur, bon ce n’est pas cela le VRAI problème.
En Grèce sous 40° à l’ombre faire de route avec 1 couple d’amis et ma femme enceinte de 5mois, vous vous imaginez bien que le confort pour les occupants c’est la CLIM.
Au bout de 15min de route sous cette chaleur plus de Climatisation
Nous avons donc prévenus Europcar France et Europe Athènes.
Un Échange est prévus dans un Europcar le plus proche sois, 1h15 de route.
Arrivé là-bas aucune communication, pas de véhicule de remplacement rien, revenez demain ou après demain BLAGUE on que sa à faire de nos vacances.
Plusieurs échangent durant notre séjour et même encore plusieurs mois après. Rien ne se passe Athènes bloque le dossier du moins ils s’en battent les boules (variante car mots inappropriés).
Une location à 800€ et ne pas avoir le service de confort réservé c’est de l’escroquerie.
La seule solution trouvée au bout de 3 mois après notre séjour un surclassement en plein mois de Novembre et Décembre lamentable.
C’était notre première chez Europcar et sa sera la DERNIÈRE.

Sehr sehr mieser Service, total unfreundliches und absolutes unerfahrenes Personal, am Terminal in Athen Airport.
Kaution immer noch nicht zurück erstattet bekommen, würde diesen Laden meiden und natürlich niemanden empfehlen!

It sounds like a good company but can never compete with AVIS or Budget.

For my reservation RNT003-57784 for 11:30, I arrived at Heraklion Airport at 10:40 p.m. and promptly called the Heraklion branch at 11:17 p.m. to inform them of my arrival. I was placed on hold for approximately five minutes. After reaching the exit, I spent additional time trying to locate the branch — I asked people around to find the office or the meeting point. They do not have an office or representative at Heraklion Airport. When I was finally able to meet them at 11:34 p.m., I was informed that a €60 penalty had been applied since they close at 11:30 p.m., as they said.

This situation appears to have resulted from a minor delay and coordination issue rather than negligence on my part. Before booking, I was not informed that the office closes at 11:30 p.m. or that there is a €60 penalty. This information only appears after booking or on the day of the pickup!

I was travelling with my child, so being left without assistance at the branch was particularly distressing. Despite explaining the situation, I received no flexibility or understanding from the rude representative, which was disappointing.

Considering all the above, I feel this was done on purpose to collect another easy €60.

I sent an email to Customer Service expressing my disappointment and requesting a refund of the €60 penalty as a gesture of goodwill and fairness, but they were completely unresponsive. Five days have passed, and they did not even think it was worth replying to me. This company will never be my choice again for any future rentals!

Wir haben das Auto von Deutschland aus gebucht. Noch vor der Abreise haben sie sich gemeldet und wollten die Bestätigung sehen und die haben wir per WhatsApp geschickt und alles was gut. Angekommen am Airport in Heraklion kurz geschrieben das wir da sind. Kurz darauf war ein Mitarbeiter da und hat die Mitarbeiterin Nancy angerufen und sie war das kurz den Vertrag ausgefüllt Auto erhalten und wir konnten los. Den letzten Abend war die Batterie kaputt vielleicht eine dreiviertel Stunde später war sie da brachte uns ein neues Auto ohne Probleme. Am Abreisetag ohne Komplikationen Auto abgestellt auf dem Parkplatz am Airport Schlüssel in den Kasten gelegt und das war's. Also ich kann wirklich nicht schlecht darüber schreiben und reden. Die Mitarbeiterin Nancy war richtig lieb und nett und deshalb würde ich immer wieder gerne dort buchen. Noch mal einen ganz lieben Dank für alles an Europcar am Airport in Heraklion

Europcar is a con company. If you are going to Rhodes please book with a local car company.
I booked online with europcar thinking the experience would be good with an established rental group however I was mistaken.
The car we received was nothing like the car we had asked for and was terrible. Unable to get up any hills and could barely move. Has many broken features the most important being the fuel cap wouldn’t open. We went to multiple petrol stations and the employees were unable to open it. So of course when returning the car we had planned to fill it up but were unable to.
We ended up having to pay €50 back at europcar to fill up a quarter of fuel which would’ve costed €20 when we didn’t have a choice in the first place.

If you dont look out with the workers at Europcar Greece Chania airport they will steal your stuff. They stole my jacket. And if you try to report them they do nothing. Its like a criminal organisation they help eachother and they cover up eachother. I never going to rent of them ever and it was my fault i had to rent of Avis always rent from them. This is my second time with europcar. I dont say all the europcar but europcar greece chania airport never rent of them they will rob you.

Europcar Corfù Airport -Esperienza pessima!
Corfù, isola dalle strade sterrate, asfalto con presenza di ciottolato, macchina restituita apparentemente in ottime condizioni: vanno subito a colpo sicuro a vedere sotto, zona tra l'altro scarsamente visibile, dove la probabilità che si sia creato anche solo un graffio a causa dello sterrato è fisiologicamente alta, direi praticamente impossibile non succeda. È infatti lì che mostrano un graffio, non un'ammaccatura, che ha segnato la vernice, sotto la targa, laterale, fronte auto, vicino la ruota. Costo totale 355€, di cui naturalmente il costo per il solo danno costituisce la minima parte. Ovvio che uno poteva acquistare l'estensione dell'assicurazione auto, all'inizio del noleggio, ma colpa mia, non mi aspettavo che una compagnia come Europcar avesse bisogno di far pagare tracce fisiologiche del normale utilizzo, in zone dove l'auto entrerà facilmente in contatto con la strada, quando altre compagnie di noleggio più correttamente non le addebitano.
Normale uso e danno sarebbero concetti diversi...

Stay away. I booked my car rental 1 week prior to my flight for 48 euro, I paid in full, I paid the full insurance and then at the delivery point the Europcar charged me an extra hidden cost of 60 euros. If I was aware I would choose a different platform. Europcar informed me about the extra cost 2 hours prior to my flight. I asked for refund and they both refused even that the EuropCar admitted than the informed late due to heavy workload.

Vorsicht Betrug!!!
Beim Vermieter Europcar in Chania Kreta wurde uns ein Schlüssel übergeben, bei dem die Fernbedienung defekt war. Da das Auto aufgeschlossen war, kamen wir nicht auf die Idee, den Schlüssel zu testen. Bei der Rückgabe wurden uns dann zusätzliche Kosten von 520,80 € abgebucht, so dass unser Mietwagen statt 235,92 € nun 756,72 € gekostet hat.

Wir hatten über Check 24 nach guten Erfahrungen im vergangenen Jahr bei Europcar Kinsen Hellas ein Auto gebucht. Vor Ort wurde meine Kreditkarte nicht akzeptiert, da es sich bei der ING VISA um eine Debit Karte handele. Ich hatte mit dieser Karte bisher weltweit (auch nicht bei Autovermietern) jemals Probleme. Weder der Hinweis, dass es im Jahr zuvor überhaupt keine Probleme gab, noch dass die ING keine anderen Kreditkarten führt und hohe Sicherheitsanforderungen für diese Karte bestehen, wurden angenommen; auch nicht das Angebot einer höheren Kaution. Letztlich war die Übernahme des Wagens nur durch den Abschluss einer zusätzlichen Vollversicherung in exorbitanter Höhe (ziemlich exakt in der Höhe des bereits gezahlten Mietpreises incl. einer Vollversicherung) möglich. Wenn wir nicht mit kleinen Kindern unterwegs gewesen wären, hätte ich von der Möglichkeit einer kostenlosen Stornierung Gebrauch gemacht. Für mich handelt es sich um eine eindeutige 'Masche', dem Kunden eine zusätzliche teure Versicherung zu verkaufen!

Leider muss ich einen Stern vergeben! ACHTUNG wer seine Kaution nach Rückgabe zeitnah zurückbekommen möchte unbedingt Finger weg von Europcar Greece. Es dauert entspannt einmal 3 Wochen. UNFASSBAR!, weil es per Knopfdruck erledigt wäre!

Schlechter Service. Sture, unflexibel Personen!
Ich musste noch die Kaution hinterlegen (völlig normaler Service..) aber hatte keine Kreditkarte dabei, nur eine Visa-Debitkarte, die wurde NICHT akzeptiert. Auch meine Mastercard wurde nicht akzeptiert. Ebenso wollten sie kein Bargeld annehmen für die Kaution. Deppen! Keine Rückerstattung oder Stornierung möglich. Einfach mal kurz Geld in Sand gesetzt. Ich habe mich sooo geärgert!

please stay away from this rental car company. In the beginning they as frequently known try to sell you another insurance for your car. If you have one stay away!
Next our car got damaged on the highway, it just stopped going forwards. Well, how europcar heraklion told you, just call them and they will help you. No, of course not. They gave me a phone number of a towing service. The towing service lady couldn´t talk any english and even with help of greek people we asked at the streets the lady didn´t want to send a towing service in the end. Just to clarify, it was me, my girlfriend and her 8 year old daughter sitting on the edge of the highway at 11 pm. Then i eventually called Europcar Heraklion again to ask for further help, but they said they can´t do anything else. After all i had to call Europcar Athens to actually got a towing service to pick the car up.

The next day I called Europcar Heraklion again to ask for help so we could get another car, so we could get to the airport two days later. Surprise, they couldn`t help.
I then called Europcar Chania, which was closer to get a new car. They immediately assured us to get a new car.
In Chania they charged us immediately the insurance self excess and then handed us the new car.

Three days after returning to Germany Europcar Heraklion charged over 500 Euro unauthorized and just sent me the invoice of the damage. It was a gear damage, clearly not caused by me using the car over a week. At the same time they told me i had to pay for all the damage, because this is not an insurance case, even though i paid the self excess already in the first place... Makes sense right?

So in conclusion this is us a small family of two ICU nurses working hard every day to save human lives, getting completely treated disgraced and cheated on for more than 1000 euros!

I will make this public as much as I can to help people stay away from this company!!!

Europcar in auf Kreta verweigert die Herausgabe des im voraus bezahlten Autos.
gibt dieses erst nach Abschluss einer zusätzlichen Versicherung in Höhe von 138€ heraus.

TRUFFATORI LADRI....non affidatevi mai a loro.
Siamo partiti io e la mia fidanzata da Pisa a Chania con ryanair,il volo ha ritardato di 1 ora.All'aeroporto nessuno ci ha aspettato con la navetta come avevano detto loro quindi abbiamo dovuto camminare 15 minuti di notte con le auto che ci sfrecciavano accanto.Arrivati lì abbiamo provato a prendere l'auto da noi già pagata prima di partire ma ci hanno detto che non ce la potevano dare e dunque di chiedere il rimborso perché serviva una carta di credito per la cauzione .Abbiamo provato a spiegarli che sul sito non c'era scritto nulla del genere ma anzi c'è scritto che accettavano pure carta di debito.Ci hanno mostrato un foglio scritto in greco preso da chissà dove che secondo loro c'era scritto che la carta di debito non veniva accettata.Adesso arriva la parte più brutta,ci volevano mandare via alle 23.30 di notte senza auto con il nostro hotel che era lontano 1 ora.Ho provato di tutto per spiegare che si sbagliavano ma nulla fino ad un certo punto quando ho detto ad un dipendente che la stessa cosa era successo ad un mio amico proprio lì ed erano riusciti a consegnare la macchina solamente dopo aver pagato 170 euro non rimborsabili dunque regalando soldi a loro.Non vi consiglio per niente EUROPCAR.
Mi raccomando prima di prendere l'auto fate delle foto e video perché provano a farti credere di aver fatto dei danni voi quindi di dover pagare danni mai fatti.

L’agent désagréable nous a pas laissé le véhicule , suite au nom de la carte de crédit différent sur la réservation. Une fois les modifications effectuée en ligne devant elle et plus de 3h d’attente à rester devant le comptoir , elle nous annonce que on a dépassé les délais !
Une honte , l’agence ne respecte rien alors que on était dans les délais depuis le début à attendre devant elle , fouta*e de geul !

Wir haben einen Fiat Panda Hybrid vom 7. Juli bis 15. Juli von der Firma Kinsen Hellas Korfu Europcar ausgeliehen über Check 24. Als wir das Auto am 15. Juli zurückgaben wurde uns gleich mit der Polizei gedroht ohne ersichtlichen Grund. Die Mietwagengebühr wurde uns sowohl von Check 24 als auch von Kinsen Hellas Europcar Korfu doppelt auf der Kreditkarte belastet.
Zusätzlich wurde uns ein Autoschlüssel für den Fiat Panda berechnet obwohl wir ein Video anfertigten dass der Autoschlüssel einwandfrei funktionierte. Für den Autoschlüssel wurde ein Betrag von 500€ auf der Kreditkarte abgezogen.
Vorsicht die Firma Kinsen Hellas Europcar ist ein betrügerisches Unternehmen.

Freundlicher Mitarbeiter am Flughafen (Anmietstation direkt am Apt), rasche Abwicklung, erhaltenes Auto höhere Kategorie als gebucht, alles perfekt

Vera e propria truffa. Alla riconsegna l'addetto mi ha addebitato un danno per un presunto graffio sotto il parafango, non visibile ma secondo lui presente solo al tatto. Ovviamente impossibile provare che quel graffio esista e che anche se esistesse non fosse già presente. La stessa cosa è successa alla macchina precedente ed a quella seguente. è un modo vergognoso di arrotondare lo stipendio truffando i clienti. La cosa scandalosa è che Europcar non faccia niente. Ho scritto mail e mandato posta certificata PEC e non si sono mai degnati nemmeno di rispondermi. Ormai è passato un anno e ci ho rinunciato. Ovviamente l'utente in questo caso è completamente indifeso. Adesso che si avvicina l'estate di nuovo EVITATE ASSOLUTAMENTE EUROPCAR !!!!
