Very disappointing handling of a product sizing issue
I ordered Bloch Criss Cross Split Sole Dance Sneakers in EU 40.5 (order EU58153). The shoe arrived with an incorrect size marking inside the shoe, which Bloch explicitly acknowledged in writing: “the label inside the shoe displays an incorrect size.”
Yet Bloch continues to state that the physical shoe is EU 40.5, relying on the external shoebox label and my measurement of approximately 27.5 cm.
I asked a straightforward question: how did Bloch determine that the physical shoe itself is EU 40.5, given that the size marking on the shoe itself is incorrect? I have repeatedly requested clear, objective, model-specific evidence supporting this claim. I have still not received an answer addressing that specific question. Instead, Bloch continues to insist that the size is correct and tells me to return the shoes through the standard returns process, at my own expense.
This is NOT a standard change-of-mind return. The issue is whether the product supplied can actually be established as the size I ordered — particularly when Bloch has acknowledged that the shoe itself carries an incorrect size marking.
The communication has also been extremely slow, with replies taking several days, and the latest response simply repeated the same position I had already challenged in my previous email.
I also found that Bloch’s current regional size charts for this exact model appear to show different size/CM conversions, making a clear explanation even more important. The objective, model-specific basis for identifying the actual shoe as EU 40.5 — independently of the shoebox label — has still not been provided.
Extremely unsatisfactory experience in terms of transparency, customer support and complaint handling.
