Had a great experience from start to finish with The Energy Centre, Great job done on the day by installers Ian & William would definitely recommend The Energy Centre to anyone considering solar.

Please be very careful with this company. Their sales tactics are very questionable. Firstly they have the cold call guy who drops by to offer you a no obligation solar assessment on your house and then the salesman arrives with his 45 min sales pitch which is mostly focused their marketing gimmick of offering you huge discounts if you become one of their advertisers. Basically if you allow them to put a sign up in your garden and tell everyone you know about them you'll get thousands off the cost of your system. Of course the costs are massively inflated and you must decide there and then. Otherwise the offer will go to the next house in the area and you will be stuck with the original extortionate price. These sales tactics are really the lowest of the low. I contacted a second company locally and their quote was a third of the price even with the ridiculous discounts. Stay clear. I'm only giving them 2 stars because the 2 men who called were polite so they each get one star. But I wouldn't give the company the time of day.

Arrived on time at 8:00, which was booked weeks in advance. They were finished by 12 or thereabouts. Superb service. Ian, the engineer, was most helpful and knowledgeable and happy to answer any of my questions & explain how the system & app worked. He was friendly and most pleasant to deal with. His full team worked very well together. The corrected a couple of issues that we had been made to understand was necessary such as the correct number of solar panels on either side of side of the roof and that there was no need to feed a connection to our indoor fuse box as a connection directly to the meter was possible and a better option.I looked at the connections in the attics after they had left and they were so neat and tidy. Excellent workmanship. My wife and I felt like we got a top drawer service. 10 out of 10. Thank Ian and to your team. Eamonn & Maureen O’Keeffe Ballinalee Co. Longford.

If the very first chat about solar panels to the insulation we were fully informed of the process and advantages of solar. Following a pre inspection to ensure a smooth insulation to the day of the installation a totally professional operation. Fantastic workmanship and everything fully explained throughout. Great team work for the entire team.

Had a really good experience with the Energy Centre. The whole process was well explained. The day of installation Ian and his crew arrived and just got straight to work. Found them very professional, curtious, neat and tidy job. Ian explained the app and the finished installation. They were all done before lunchtime. Looking foreard to seeing the difference in my bills.Thanks guys.

Very disappointing sales experience.
The gentleman who visited our home was actually very nice and personable, so this review isn't a criticism of him personally. My issue is entirely with the sales process being used by the company.

We were told we were getting a free home energy/solar survey and that both homeowners needed to be present for approximately 45 mins to an hour. What we actually received felt much more like a high-pressure sales and marketing presentation.
A significant part of the "assessment" involved questions about our social networks, family, friends, work, local schools, clubs and amenities, apparently to assess our suitability to become an "Energy Efficient Home" for marketing and referrals. We were then presented with a discount/referral proposition, but the discounted price was only available if we agreed to proceed that day.

When I made it clear that I was getting several quotations and would absolutely not make a decision on the spot, the offer disappeared. I was also told the person wasn't actually in sales, which I found difficult to reconcile with an hour-long presentation designed to get us to sign up there and then.

Most disappointing of all, I expected an actual technical survey of our property. The front roof wasn't even measured because a neighbouring house is similar, and when I asked afterwards if I would receive a written quotation, I was told to contact the office.

I'm perfectly happy for a company to sell to me. Give me a proper assessment, recommend a system, provide the specifications and give me your best written price. I'll compare it with the other quotations and make a decision.

What I don't appreciate is dressing a sales presentation up as a home energy survey, assessing how useful my family and social connections might be for referrals, and then using a same-day-only discount to try to close the deal.

The representative himself was pleasant throughout, but I would not do business with a company that chooses to sell this way.

The Energy center Donegal were brilliant from the start with the initial consultation with Gary who explained everything, made good suggestions on where to place the invertor and battery very helpful. The Panel fitters were professional and tidy, the electricians left everything neat and tidy all wires were clipped up and covered well, everything up and running within the day. Sigenery system working great and the app is very easy to use. I’d highly recommend this Company.

I had these solar panels installed a few years ago and they have been a complete waste of a lot of money. They only heat our water to a decent temperature if the sun is splitting the stones for an entire day. If we are lucky to get a sunny summer, we get some benefit from the solar panels otherwise it's the immersion or electric showers. I would have used a different company if I had it to do again.

Energy centre are 10 out of 10.Installed the solar panels last year,great job.Had a small problem this year,Ian the sparky came and fixed it,no issues at all.Great lad,great worker,very tidy and sound out,no problem.Would recommend them to anyone👌👌👌

Had a great experience with the team at the Energy Centre in Duleek. They recently installed solar panels and a battery system for me, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Installation was quick and tidy, and I’m already seeing the benefits. Highly recommend them to anyone considering solar!

We had a cold call from the Energy Centre regarding solar panels. As we were interested we arranged for a consultation the following day.

The rep arrived and for the first 40 minutes we were quizzed on our work, social connections and past times. All of this was supposedly to assist this rep to advertise his company and generate sales from our connections. We were told that it could help reduce our costs.

We then sat through a prolonged and frankly condescending presentation on solar power and on how the vast cost savings were were going to make. Apparently we were going to save over €120,000. Wildly exaggerated and no mention of the longevity of batteries etc.

There was no information on the specifications of the equipment other than it was made in China to some vague German standard. It was all guaranteed if course but by manufacturers. Manufacturers from China?

We were then presented with an over inflated price of €16,300 for a 10 solar panels and a 9kw battery and inverter. (reputable competitors like An Bord Gas are 10k after the grant for the same system )

Then the charade started... If we allowed them to put up a sign we could have a discount. Because we knew people we would also get a discount and on it went until we ended up with €12,600 after the grant which is still well over priced.

Then came the hard sell. This was only available today... Sign now and get this amazing deal.

Pay 30% now or this deal was walking out of door with the rep. Apparently there was someone down the road interested later today. We would lose it and have to pay full price of €16,300

In total it lasted 90 minutes, most of which was spent on how we could be of use to the reps promotion of his business by us.

In a million years I would not use this company. The rep was pushy and condescending with hard sell tactics all designed to get a sign immediately.

Avoid!

Can't speak highly enough of Kieran and his team. He talked us through all aspects of the process in advance and furthermore there was minimal disruption during the installation phase. Kieran also dropped in to us a month after installation to ensure everything was working effectively. Very impressed with the volume of energy being generated and being sold back to the grid. Great Experience

I recently had a home consultation with this company regarding solar panels, and unfortunately the experience left me both disappointed and uncomfortable.

The representative was polite and took me through the system and pricing. However, I was presented with two quotations: a standard price and a second price that was over €4,000 lower. I was told that the discounted price was only available if I made a decision there and then, during the visit.

As this is a significant financial investment, I explained that I was not in a position to make an immediate decision and would need time to consider the information and do my own research. Out of curiosity, I asked how many customers are actually able to commit to such a large purchase on the spot. I was told that many people do, and when I expressed surprise, the conversation took an uncomfortable turn.

I was told that most people know to do their research in advance and, “no harm to you being South African,” but that most Irish people understand that when a salesperson visits their home, a decision is expected on the day.

I found this comment inappropriate and unnecessary. It felt dismissive and implied that I was uninformed because of my background. I also found the sales approach of offering a substantial discount only for an immediate decision to be high-pressure and not in keeping with the level of trust and consideration that should accompany a major home investment.

I believe customers should be given time to make informed decisions without pressure, and cultural assumptions have no place in a professional consultation.

Based on this experience, I would encourage others to be aware of the company’s sales approach before booking a consultation.

Neighbour got panels installed and I got leaking roof day after. Installers walking on my part of roof during installation did some damage. Came down to check and said that leak its far away from panels....no contact back after my everyday phonecalls!!! Gangsters company!!! Avoid

Absolutely great service by the staff, cannot fault the service in any way whatsoever. From my first phone call to the last. Exceptional

Awful experience. From the actual air source heat pump being installed incorrectly to then having to battle to get it fixed, kept blaming me, even though later admitted a valve hadn’t been turned all the way round. Awful to deal with, soon as grant is paid very hard to get hold of akd communication awful.

They talk a good talk when selling to you and yes you have to sign up there and then if you want the discounts. I was initially impressed with the company’s installation process—efficient, neat, and professional. However, I am disappointed by the lack of adequate after-sales support, which has caused unnecessary frustration and wasted time.
When my inverter went offline, I was provided with a video and a leaflet for reconnection. While the leaflet was included in the initial pack, I was not informed of its relevance during installation. Unfortunately, my reconnection was not straightforward, and despite multiple calls (and sending them pictures showing them the problem) I was repeatedly told that the matter would be looked into.
The following day, I was assured that an engineer would call me back within “a few minutes” to guide me through the process. However, I never received any call, and after several hours of troubleshooting, I eventually managed to resolve the issue myself.
I find this level of service unacceptable. The company presents itself well during the sales process, the after-sales support is severely lacking. I find this level of service unacceptable and not in line with the standards I expected from my initial dealings with the Energy Centre.

We found the service that was provided was excellent. The team involved in installing the system from the Energy Centre were fantastic. They answered all our questions thoroughly and were very easy to deal with. We are extremely happy with our new Solar Panel system. It is very cost effective and reduces our electricty bills considerably. We can highly recommend The Energy Centre to anyone who is interested in getting this wonderful system installed.
