Bought both fridge and freezer from…

Bought both fridge and freezer from company - both “in stock” and ready to be delivered within 3-5 days on end of nov 2024 - did not recieve until the new year.
Numerous calls which the reception staff were initially pleasant, explaining that we were reliant on these for Christmas as we have none for our new home. Ensured everytime i called they would be there well before christmas.
The week of Christmas I called numerous time, asking for updates- was told they were with the courier - Philips logistics, whom which I then called and was told they 100% sure did not have my order as their warehouse was empty and all their Christmas orders were delivered.
When I called empire electro back they were very rude- saying I was pestering them, and what more did they want me for them to do, and that I was “holding up the line for other costumers”
At this stage I’d now waited for a month for the order which was supposed to be with me in 3-5 days.
I again explained I needed these for Christmas, I was then lied to being told there was a mix up and it was a different courier that in fact had my order and it would be with me before Christmas, Christmas past - no fridge or freeze, causing chaos in our new home where we were hosting.
Got a call from Philips logists then into the new year saying they had my order for delivery now.
Should also mention, any costumers from Northern Ireland in particular, it shows that there is “free” delivery. This is not the case. You will be contacted after your order saying that in their terms and conditions the delivery is outside a zone etc and that it is 100£ for delivery.
If you are willing to wait 1.5 months for the products - I’m sure you will have no issue with this company, however if you need you products within a set time and care how you are spoken to by costumer service - my recommendation would be not to use this company. Numerous times I was spoke over, voice risen to and told I pestering them.
If I had to redo it I’m 100% sure I would not use this company, irritates me still to think I have such horrible people business.

You placed 2 separate orders on two different days, both delivery to Northern Ireland.

Your freezer was in stock ready for delivery however your fridge was on a lead time which you were aware of.

You did not want to pay shipping cost x2 you were happy to wait for both appliances to be shipped together, once the fridge came in we arranged delivery for both appliances to you.

As mentioned to you on numerous occasions we have to wait for stock to come into us for us to then ship your appliance out to you and given the time over the Christmas period delays were inevitable.
You were given the choice to keep your order on with us or to go elsewhere if you were unable to wait.

In regard to delivery charges, it is clearly stated in our terms and conditions that we only provide free shipping to UK mainland customers excluding some post codes.

It irritates us as a company that customers will happily accept the set of conditions and also happily accept delivery but then go on to complain after the goods have been delivered.

Unpleasant, Immoral & Highly Unreliable

Dear Empire Electro Representative, (I have chosen to respect your privacy, despite your not respecting mine).

The initial smooth sales experience certainly lead me to believe I was dealing with a reputable company with competitive prices who would deliver on time, as assured. But, after waiting so patiently, after long delays and repeatedly falsely ‘promised’ and ‘double checked’ dates, not ‘ETAs’ (of ‘week beginning 4.11.24’, ‘15.11.24’ and the ‘date of 2.12 24’); you decided to cancel my order against my wishes in retaliation for honest feedback. This was in the full knowledge that I have children, have been without an oven (the staple of every home) for five weeks and would not (according to yourselves) have an oven for Christmas.
No customer should be forced to retract valid feedback or ‘beg’ for the fulfilment of an order placed in good faith. This coercive, bullying conduct is unacceptable and should never have factored into the resolution of the situation.

The ‘promised’ and ‘double checked’ delivery on 2.12.24 had not actually been placed by yourselves as I was informed by your supplier when I rang to check delivery. I had to arrange the delivery directly with them myself for 6.12.24. You are right, this is your job to do. What a shame you choose to instead spend your time threatening customers who dare complain about the conduct of yourself and your company in repeatedly lying about delivery dates. (For clarity, your ‘supplier’ were appalled at your customer care and behaviour, did their utmost to help, and also affirmed there is no such thing as ‘blocking’?!)

You then decided to cancel my delivery, against my wishes, after leaving us without an oven for many weeks, keeping my money from 18.10.24 and this was only returned to me after I had raised a Visa Discrepancy with my bank having not received the funds. It was in my account two days after the cancellation by yourselves, after you had kept the money for about six weeks.


Your responses to the many unhappy customers who have experienced exactly the same as myself, are aggressive and unpleasant. Whereas your competitors actually apologise to their customers for lengthy delays and un-fulfilled deliveries.
Fortunately after you cancelled my order, I received the oven from one of your many reputable competitors on 8.12.24. only two days after placing the order. This was a huge relief after you thinking we would be without an oven for Christmas!
I just wish I had gone to another company from the start. A lot of hassle and time wasted, culminating in extremely unpleasant behaviour from yourselves. Literally, worst Customer experience.

Not only did you pester us ringing in daily on numerous occasions asking the same question and we were giving you the same answer you also did this with our supplier who have now put you on a block list.

You did not need to arrange your own delivery at all, this is our job and your delivery was arranged accordingly.

Why you felt the need to send us a verbal abusive email the night before your delivery and threatening us with bad reviews is something we cannot comprehend.

We made a commercial decision to cancel and refund your order.

Once you were aware of our decision you rang and pleaded with us to reinstate your order in return you will take down the review. However we have made our decision regardless of this review and we refuse to do business with you.

Really positive experience

Always wary about buying appliances online but the team were brilliant, incredibly helpful on the phone, regularly updated me with text messages and the delivery team turned up exactly when they said they would and were very polite. Would definitely buy from empire electro again!

Do not buy a Rangemaster Oven from this…

Do not buy a Rangemaster Oven from this company!! I have been consistently lied to about delivery dates, assured that they are speaking with the Rangemaster company only to find they have not done so at all, and I had to arrange my own delivery. Sincerely regret buying with this company wish I had gone to a reputable one. They are very pleasant on the phone, but consistently fobbed me off with lies.

9 Weeks for an Oven Promised in 10 Days

I ordered a range oven that was advertised on the website to arrive within 5 to 10 days. However, it ended up taking 9 weeks to be delivered! This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I had a newborn at home and no oven during this time.

When I called to follow up, I spoke with a very kind and helpful customer service representative who genuinely tried to assist me. Unfortunately, the manager was unhelpful and claimed it was a Rangemaster issue and not their responsibility. This is unacceptable, as their website clearly stated the 10-day delivery timeframe, which was even confirmed over the phone.

The lack of accountability and concern for the inconvenience caused was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend ordering from them unless you're prepared for major delays and poor communication from management.

You were aware that there was a delay on your item and you were giving the choice of cancelling or accepting the new delivery date which accepted the latter.

This delay was out of our control as it was very much a supplier issue, hence why you kept your order on with us. We do not sit on stock and we always fulfil orders ASAP but with special orders as such sometimes these delays do arise.

We don't understand, after happily accepting the delivery date you feel aggrieved to write such a review.

Failed to deliver when it was allegedly in stock

I bought a washer dryer that was "in stock" with a delivery of 3-7 days. I rang on the third day for delivery info and was told three times that they were liaising with the warehouse and would ring me back. They never did. Then an email pops up to say it will be delivered yesterday. No tracking info or other data to track it. It didn't arrive so I called this morning. I was told they would do the usual liaising with warehouse and the promised call within an hour never happened, so I called after two hour. I was told the same that they still hadn't heard why the delivery hadn't happened. It was suggested that maybe I wasn't in (I was) or the driver ran out of hours. When I asked why I could not get an answer I was told that I was being inconsiderate to not let them investigate it and that they had delivered 50 of these machines this week.
I doubt they ever had the machine in stock. I not not a current production item and therefore not easy to find. I very much doubt they had it in stock and have cancelled. Very unsatisfactory experience.

I've just seen their ridiculous reply. I waited in the whole day and no vehicle came to my property

As per our phone conversation with you today; it is extremely inconsiderate of you not to allow us the time to investigate why there was a failed delivery of your order yesterday. After looking into this we can confirm our driver did attempt delivery to you but was unsuccessful as no one was in to accept delivery.

I recently purchased a range of appliance and I must say, the experience was far from satisfactory.

First and foremost, the customer service was lacking. When I had questions about my order, it often took several attempts to reach someone who could help, and even then, their responses were vague and unhelpful. It's frustrating when you're trying to resolve an issue but feel like you're more of a nuisance than a valued customer.

My order was delayed by over 3 weeks without any communication from the company. They then just cancelled the order!
I would not recommend Empire Electro based on my experience. If you're looking for reliability and good customer service, it might be worth considering other options.

I have since reported the company for falsely advertising products they do not have when stating they are in stock.

Zero mention of 2 or 3 weeks delay. The item was discontinued & I had rang twice to see if you could still get! Both times you said yes.

Please don’t try & make out I was abusive. Simply asking why nobody had contacted me.

Very small minded company!

Your hood was due to be delivered to you within its delivery ETA however we made the commercial decision to cancelled your order after your abusive email to us.

Don't buy from this company

Don't buy from this company. I placed an order for a kitchen tap, never heard from them again, found a £559.99 charge on my credit card, and when I contacted them they sent me a phony delivery notice and told me it had been delivered on time. Now heading to court to get my money back.

Hi David, as per our correspondence with you this week your signed delivery note clearly shows your tap was delivered to you on the 19th July 2023. 1 week after your order was placed!

You simply cannot request for a refund 13 months post delivery claiming you have not received your Order. David you are dishonourable customer, we have all the relevant POD referring to your Order; we as a Company should be taking you to court for this kind of nonsense!

I have only given 1 star, as the system will not accept 0 star.

Before we go any further and regardless of the verbal and written comments from EE, I did not cancel our order.

I ordered the microwave in question on a Saturday as it showed as being in stock and delivery within 2 days. Accounting for their closure over the weekend, i expected delivery on Wednesday, but after missing 2 delivery dates, I chased for an update today, only to be told that I had canceled the order and that I should not expect delivery for something I had not paid for!

This accusation of fraud is on top of EE not providing the 2 update calls that they had promised earlier in the week and after they stated they had initially oversold their advertised stock holding.

After checking with my credit card provider, Amex assured me that I had not made a refund request and neither had I raised a complaint that may have resulted in the refund. Further checks by Amex showed that EE had returned the payment after missing their 2nd delivery date?

Based on the total lack of customer service from EE, I would suggest that you stay clear of them and stick with AO, Argos, or Amazon.

I ordered a £185 microwave oven that should have been delivered within 3 to 5 working days. 4 weeks later still no delivery. I have sent two emails asking for an update and both have been totally ignored. Avoid this bunch of clowns like the plague
After posting this review they phoned me using same contact details they say were incorrect and said thy would sort delivery but asked that I take down this review. Not a chance poor dishonest customer service staff.
Typical reply blaming customer. You need to find a new line of work

Marshall Fear, Delivery was attempted to you twice!! Our email/ calls to you failed.
When we called you again after seeing this underhand review you mentioned you have been in ill for some weeks and was not able to take delivery. You stated you will forwarded the emails which you sent into us which you never did.
You stated you did not want a refund and said you will respond to our email ref delivery information and again you did not.
You received your Microwave the very next day once you were ready and able to take delivery.
You have been an horrible customer to deal with from the get go and we welcome customers such as yourself not to shop with us.
