I decided to try because
I decided to try because I wanted an investment approach that didn't require me to monitor the markets myself. The company presented the robot as a system that would trade automatically according to its programmed strategy, and after reviewing the information they provided, I decided to put money into the account.
The first week actually went very well. I could see positive results appearing in the account, and the early performance gave me confidence that the system was working as described. I started believing that I had finally found an investment that could generate consistent returns without requiring me to actively trade.
Over the following weeks, however, the performance changed completely.
The account began losing money steadily. At first, I assumed it was simply a period of poor market conditions, but the losses continued. I repeatedly contacted the company and raised concerns about what was happening to the account. I was given reassurances that the robot was being monitored and that the strategy would recover.
It didn't.
The balance continued falling, and eventually the account reached zero.
What concerned me almost as much as the loss itself was what happened afterward. I had repeatedly asked the company for an explanation while the account was declining, but once the balance reached zero, communication became extremely difficult. My messages stopped receiving meaningful responses, and I was left with very little explanation for how an account that had initially performed so well could ultimately lose everything.
At that point, I stopped relying on the company's assurances and started documenting everything. I kept copies of my deposit records, account statements, screenshots showing the changing balance, communications with the company, and the information they had provided about the trading robot.
I eventually reported the matter to 𝓶o𝓃tɛras̷e𝔠 and provided them with the evidence I had collected. The case was reviewed, and the information surrounding the investment and the communications with the robot company was examined.
Following the intervention and the subsequent process, they returned the amount I had lost.
The experience completely changed the way I look at automated investment systems. A strong first week doesn't prove that a trading robot is legitimate or that its strategy is sustainable. More importantly, when an investment starts behaving unexpectedly, I now understand the importance of documenting everything immediately rather than relying solely on repeated assurances from the company.
