I am writing this to describe how this Asian company plays like they are American, sells cheap goods and prevents returns.
I am writing this to describe how this company - EmilySusan Boutique - treats a dissatisfied customer.
My wife ordered a hooded sweater. It arrived much too large, and of indifferent quality. She had ordered this from their website, which illustrated many fine looking pieces of clothing, worn by attractive elegant women. You would surmise that this was an American based company. In fact, if you Google up EmilySusan Boutique it is styled EmilySusan Boutique USA. But I believe this company is just a name change from Susan Boutique, which has 40% of their reviews as ONE STAR. So .. we wanted to return this sweater for a refund. The EmilySusan website states you receive a 100% money back guarantee within the first thirty days of purchase. It had been 20 days since my wife ordered the sweater. She emailed the company. Though my wife said it was too large, EmilySusan asked for a photo. She sent one. Then they said they would replace it. My wife said "Thank you but I would like a refund." Then they emailed they would send her 30% of the purchase price and she could keep the sweater. Then they offered 40%. I told them we wanted to return it for a full refund. I asked them for an RMA, and a shipping address in the USA. They would not give this to me without my agreeing to their return policy. Turns out they are based somewhere in Asia, and they fashion their return policy where the customer must pay a minimum of $30 pounds shipping, but you do not discover this unless you try to return something.
