Placed an order and paid for next day delivery as I need the item quickly. I have just received a generic email stating they didn’t have the item and have cancelled my order. They couldn’t even be bothered to send me a proper email or perhaps offer an incentive to order from them again in the future. It’s now too late for me to order from elsewhere. This was my first and last time ordering from them.

I love Elys. It is a joy to shop with so many helpful staff. The lady on Lancome was exceptionally nice and helped me decide on a foundation. Nothing is too much trouble and they cater for all types including old farts like me. I have never had a bad experience and I love the atmosphere. It is an old fashioned store, in that the staff have proper manners and values, but inside its totally modern with the latest fashions etc. What is not to like.? They have Chanel, The White Company and Trinny London which are great brands. I often buy Clarins when its on special offer and the lady who served me made sure that I got the best value and some lovely free samples. It was such a pleasure bashing my credit card! Keep up the good work as Wimbledon would be dire without you. It is a wonderful store. Thank you.

Avoid. On 12 December I ordered a le creuset pan. Instead of the pan, a wooden jigsaw puzzle worth £9.99 arrived. The store admitted that was a packaging error. That's fine, mistakes happen.
They said that they would send out a replacement but sent nothing and ignored my emails requesting an update. I rang customer service who said that they could try and put me through to the store but if they were me, they wouldn't bother, as there were so many complaints that people were kept on hold for so long that they never managed to get through.
Following multiple emails, I eventually received a notification that my order was being refunded. This was on 17 January and I am still waiting for my refund. No other communication has been given.
I bought a Christmas present which arrived in packaging different from the image provided. Not a problem in itself, but it did mean I couldn’t see the entire product. It was a set of salt and pepper pots that should have come with two little spoons. When the recipient opened the parcel, the spoons were missing. I have sent Elys Wimbledon two emails requesting replacement spoons. They haven’t bothered with the courtesy of a reply other than an automated email assuring me that I would be contacted ‘shortly’. The email also contained an email link that should have provided me with the status of my enquiry. The link did not work.
Elys, if you do read your reviews, this is order number 59155. Please sort it out, it’s annoying and frustrating to be ignored once you’ve got the cash and failed to fulfil your side of the deal.
UPDATE: today, 12 January, I received a small parcel containing the two missing spoons. Oddly, there was no note inside and I’ve still had no acknowledgement or communication from the vendor. At least they have replaced what was missing.
We enjoyed our shopping experience in Elys, Wimbledon.
Mai in the food department on the top floor was helpful and patient.

Like many others have said, online ordering is a complete waste of time. You place an order, only to have it refunded two days later due to being “out of stock.” No apology, just a 10-day wait to get your money back. Very poor service. If there’s no stock control, why have a website at all? Avoid.
Order and pay for goods and then they say no longer available and your payment is held. I would never buy from this company again as they are useless!!!

I placed an order online on Monday 8th December and have just received, three days later, an email to say the order has been cancelled as they don't have the stock! Not even an apology either. Very poor service and communication. Looking at other reviews, it seems that this is not unusual. I will not order from them again.

Looking at other reviews this appears to be a frequent event and brings in to question the integrity of this Company's online behaviour & strategy.
Don't waste your time online with these people.

I purchased a pair of brown Chelsea boots from Dune, and less than a year after buying them, one developed noticeable discolouration spots.
I own several pairs of leather shoes from other brands and have never experienced a similar issue. I take meticulous care of all my footwear, following proper maintenance routines.
I contacted both the store and the brand’s customer support. Initially, each referred me to the other, and eventually, the store informed me that, although the boots are covered by a warranty, “it was clear from the pictures that this was not a manufacturer’s fault.”
Despite several follow-up attempts, neither the store nor the brand has responded or provided any alternative explanation for the cause of the issue or guidance on how it might be resolved.
I am very disappointed with the customer service, particularly given that I had been considering purchasing another premium pair: at £200, these are not exactly inexpensive, and comparable boutiques offer products at similar price points with a reputation for higher quality and better aftercare.
I am afraid that, unless this matter is resolved promptly and to my satisfaction, I will have no choice but to reconsider my options and take my business to another brand.
I love Elys. Always lovely displays, the staff are polite and knowledgeable. They have lots of brands and I love browsing the home department.
Visited Elys Department Store last Thursday 18th August . .I was browsing the menswear section and looking at some Rodd and Gunn cotton jackets when a young Asian guy came over and asked if I needed any help . .I said I was undecided between the slate and the blue colour . .He said he would go and find a stylist ? ? ? He came back accompanied by a young lady who checked the size was correct and recommend the blue one for various reasons that I hadn't thought of . .Happy, I bought it . .Exceptional service by both these staff and a credit to the company . . Good service is a rare commodity nowadays but this was outstanding.
Beware of the restaurant if you are in a hurry. My daughter and I ordered and paid for 1 soup and 1 omelett. How this simple order could take nearly 45 minutes when the restaurant was only half full I do not know! We asked...We begged but always to be told 2 or 3 minutes. Eventually knowing the expensive parking outside we had to ask for a refund and leave. So no lunch for us then! Surely with the 'new' restaurant this hold up should not have happened. At no time were the staff helpful about this delay.
Just as many others have reported in their reviews on here I purchased some shoes last night and this morning I have had an email to say the order has been cancelled as they do not have enough stock to fulfill the order. The amount is still pending in my account though. I would completely avoid ordering online from this company. Total waste of time
Had my lashes done here. Absolutely terrible and if my sister in law wasn’t paying I would have made a real fuss, refused to pay and asked them to remove them. Truly awful. Do NOT go here. Shocking and not only over priced but the result was terrible. Save your money and keep walking
