We used EHL to sell our late father's apartment. Sarah and Abbie provided excellent service and always answered our questions and e-mails quickly. On the day the transaction went very smoothly.

I would highly recommend this company. I have been in a 2 year long family court battle that has just come to an end. Michelle Saxton of the Bulwell branch has been phenomenal throughout. She's given me the advice, confidence and her time in order to reach a fair trial. She's spent many hours writing reports/documents and sending emails which has ultimately led to a 50/50 shared live with order with my ex partner. I couldn't be more pleased with what this company has done for me and my family. I will be forever grateful.

Very slow part time service.
I would not recommend them.

Firstly, they have the 5 star trustpilot widget on their website which is false advertising when it’s actually at 3.5. Not good for a solicitors. Secondly, my partner’s land registry application wasn’t submitted until 16/09/2022, she got the property in March 2020… this is anything to do with pandemic, back logs etc, it’s pure incompetence and was only submitted because we’re buying another property. Avoid them at all costs.

Terrible experience. Conveyancer was impossible to get hold of, they missed the exchange and completion dates and wouldn't withdraw my funds from the help to buy ISA. This caused a huge amount of stress and financial issues throughout the chain.

I cannot thank Sarah and Abbie of EHL Solicitors enough for their exemplary service during our conveyancing matter.

In the past I have not had much to do with solicitors but at the end of April this year, I found myself facing, what to me, was complex family related legal matters. I remembered that my daughter had used a local solicitor’s firm, Edward Hand & Lewis, based in Syston, Leicestershire. I asked her opinion and she said she had been very satisfied with the solicitors and other members of the staff she dealt with and that is was very convenient to have local.
I phoned the Syston branch and asked for someone to contact me and gave them some basic information of what I was needing. I received a phone call from Lisa. I explained over the phone the main points I needed advice about and also what would the approximate cost be. As we spoke, I found her to be approachable, understanding, and easy to talk to. I received an email the same day outlining the probable costs of the areas I needed help with. The next day I had made my mind up and I phoned to arrange a meeting with Lisa D as soon as possible. During that 2nd phone call Lisa asked me to start to get certain documents together and to bring them to our first meeting. That same day she sent me an email confirming what she had asked for. We met shortly afterwards. Unlike other solicitors I've had meetings with Lisa explained matters in a way that I could understood. I didn't have to keep asking "what did that mean". Shortly after our first meeting I confirmed that I wanted to instruct Edward Hand & Lewis as my solicitors. We had periodic meetings, interspersed with phone calls, letters, and emails and she would always confirm what we had agreed to do back to me, usually the next working day. At every stage Lisa gave me advice, examples and options leaving it to me to make the final decision. Lisa always had the clients needs at heart. I don’t want to leave out the other staff members I spoke to or met at the Syston branch. They were helpful, understanding and ensured any messages or documentation I left with them were passed on promptly to the appropriate person.
I have no hesitation in recommending Edward Hand & Lewis, Syston branch to deal with your legal problems.
