eBay are scammers
A scammer buyer from Slovenia purchased one of my items (about $500). All of my items have a "Seller does not accept returns" statement on each listing.
When I went to purchase a shipping label From eBay, thet DID NOT have a shipping label option with tracking to Slovenia.
I called eBay Customer Service about my concerns regarding the no tracking and wanted to cancel the order. The eBay Customer Service representative told me that I would be penalized for canceling the order, convinced me to ship the item, told me to take a picture of the package at the post office (which I did), and that I WOULD BE PROTECTED BY THE EBAY SELLERS PROTECTION PROGRAM.
Immediately after the package was marked as sent, the scammer buyer opened a return request. Without even attempting to wait for delivery! Obvious signs of a scam.
I AGAIN called eBay Customer Service and the Representative TOLD ME TO IGNORE THE RETURN REQUEST AND REASSURED ME THAT I WAS PROTECTED BY THE EBAY SELLERS PROTECTION PROGRAM.
About a month later, I receive an email from eBay stating that they have ruled in the buyers favor and will be taking $434.99 from my bank account.
I immediately appealed with the pictures of the package with the eBay shipping label and the explanation of what I was told by the eBay Customer Service Representative.
Minutes after sending the appeal, I received an appeal denied response. EBay did not even look into the matter or consider my evidence.
I again eBay Customer Service and the Representative told me they will escalate this matter. Only to quickly receive an email from eBay stating that their decision is final.
I emailed eBay my concerns about this and advised eBay they Are NOT ALLOWED to take this money from my account and eBay is to CEASE AND DESIST ANY AND ALL ATTEMPTS TO TAKE THIS MONEY FROM ME ACCOUNT. EBay tried anyways, multiple times, so I put a stop payment on eBay.
I tried emailing eBay several times to try to resolve this issue, asking what happens to the selling fees and shipping label cost I already paid to eBay on this order. All of my emails went ignored like a guilty child refusing to answer.
I again talked to an eBay Customer Service Representative to ask about what happens to the sellers fee and shipping label cost of this order and would I be reimbursed for them. The eBay customer service representative once again escalated this inquiry, to which I heard No Response.
Several days later I Yet Again talked to an eBay Customer Service Representative and asked again about the sellers fee and shipping label cost. Finally, this eBay customer service representative told me an answer. Unfortunately it was that eBay keeps the seller fees on the sale that no longer exists. That is OUTRAGEOUS and ILLEGAL.
I closed my eBay account! Treating sellers like this is unacceptable, at any time eBay can just lie, cheat, and steal from you.
I had been a loyal customer of eBay's since 2009, and it is absolutely deplorable how eBay has treated me regarding this situation. EBay refusing to return the selling fees was the "last straw", over $81.33 ($66.44 transaction fee + $14.89 eBay shipping label cost), eBay was willing to lose a Top Rated Seller with over $3,000 CAD in sales per month!
I can't help but believe that eBay was in on this scam as 24 hours after I shipped the item, eBay finally put me into their International Shipping Program (after months of requests) which would have avoided this situation. This buyer might not exist and mail to that address could easily be forwarded to the eBay hub, eBay gets free items to sell under a sellers account AND keeps the sellers fees from the scam sale. eBay head office employees have already been found guilty of terrorizing a couple from New Jersey and the CEO orchestrated it all (Google it, it's shocking)
Again, this is absolutely deplorable and a very disgusting way to run a business.
Don't become a victim of eBay, there are a lot of other selling platforms quickly gaining popularity.

Trying to sell anything is a nightmare
Trying to sell anything is a nightmare. I used to use it all the time 20 years ago and it was great. Now buyers can just walk away if they don’t want to pay what they bid on. Happens about 30 percent of the time. Also, can only leave positive feedback for them? Is this kindergarten where we don’t want anything negative? EBay is a joke, I’m closing my account.

An EBay Canada seller & EBay Canada both lied to me, repeatedly
After I finally opened my EBay Canada account less than a month ago, I keep encountering abnormal & deviant sellers on this platform.
In particular, a seller with EBay Canada user name as vipoutletcanada whom I placed & paid fully an item on Feb 13/26 with promised delivery date Feb 15-17/26 to my shipping address.
No tracking number or any shipping movement for 4 days, I then did an "order cancellation" request on Feb 16. This vipoutletcanada seller responded only after 2 days on Feb 16 & declined my request by claiming , OR LYING!!, that "item has already shipped" .
Now with a tracking number, I discovered that not only I was correct that no shipping attempt whatsoever has been made since Feb 13 but the carrier still did not have the package at all as on Feb 16.
I contacted vipoutletcanada again on Feb 16 requesting a full refund as I did not get this item & it was already late & they made no shipping attempts at all for over 4 days. I also contacted EBay Canada & after so much efforts fighting & struggling with their autobot, I was finally able to speak online with a JB person from EBay Canada who, to my understanding & in short, told me I shall get my full refund in 3 days & he would notify the seller and so on . JB assured me to "rest assure".....& EBay will make sure that I get my money back, their whatever money back guarantee, etc. confirming that no shipping at all Feb 13-16/26.
On Feb 20/26, I still not getting my money back, so I contacted & fought again with EBay autobot. This time, I was only allowed for Ebay to call me.
For about 40 minutes I was speaking to an "Acil" person from EBay over the phone. Amongst other things, "Acil" said I shall receive my full refund by no later than Feb 24/26 and that I could " throw it away", "do whatever you want" if I received some item from vipoutletcanada who not only not refunding me but carried forward the already late item shipping which I had indicated to them repeatedly that I did not want this anymore but a full refund.
I even gave this "Acil" person my compliment as a new EBay user about this policy of EBay, under the circumstance, I did not have to contact, struggle & waste more of my time to arrange an item return, if I would receive some thing from this seller at all.
I had to spend way much more time with EBay Canada when I still not getting my money back on Feb 24/26. Part of my totally frustrating email exchanges with EBay Canada on Feb 24:

The watch is still unsold, and I'm left dealing with constant harassment instead. eBay does nothing to protect new sellers from this. Despite being both a buyer and seller for years and having 100% positive seller reviews, eBay cancelled my account, banned me from future selling or buying and has held onto my sales proceeds for the last 5 months. When I asked why, I was told that I did "something" that endangered users and violates policies, but they refused to give any details and thus denied me a chance to defend myself against their accusations. I suspect that their AI had some kind of hiccup but without the opportunity to speak with someone or even know what I had supposedly done there is no recourse for me, plus I am out of pocket for the items I sold and shipping because they insist on putting a hold on my funds for at least 6 months in case the customer demands a refund. A truly despicable organisation that has no integrity or loyalty to either their sellers or buyers. Luckily there are more and more alternatives such as Etsy. I just wish that Trustpilot would allow a zero star rating, because even one star is too much.

What scam!!!! Item never arrived and then had to wait an extra day to open up an INR case, and then had to wait for another 6 days after that!!!!! What a load of BS!! Such a scam! These people should be sued to the ground! There should be legal things put into place to protect the buyer when a purchase is made!

I have used eBay for 20 years and held a 5 star rating with perfect feedback as both a buyer and a seller. I was recently sold a pair of fake boxing gloves. This is the first time I’ve ever tried to utilize the authenticity guarantee. EBay had me return the items but then denied my refund AND did not send me back the item. I paid for the item, paid to return it to eBay and was refunded 0. I deleted my eBay account and have never been so disappointed in customer service. It’s inconvenient for me to not have eBay but I will no longer give business to eBay after this experience
