Learn to love the real you

I can’t begin to describe how incredibly grateful I am for Dr Nina. The work I did with her was hard, but it helped me learn that food has never been the problem. This process can be scary and Dr Nina is the best guide in helping to uncover why I turned to food. She also helped me realize that it’s okay and human to have feelings and how to express them without eating. I’ve always tried to blend into the background and go unnoticed, but Dr Nina has helped me to embrace and love my inner flamingo and stand out in a flock of pigeons. Working with Dr Nina has been the best investment I could have ever given myself, both time and money wise.

Life changing

Wow. Talk about a huge change. Tonight, I was in the grocery store, running a quick errand, when I found myself instantly craving candy. I walked over to the candy aisle, looking to see what I was desperately craving. I needed candy ASAP -- like right now. I then thought I should get “heathier” candy so went over to that aisle to see if the “healthy” candy looked good. I was thinking that since I'm trying to lose weight, I should at least get healthier candy if I’m going to binge. I was looking at the ingredients of some supposedly organic lollipop package (is there even such a thing?!?) when I realized candy wasn’t what I wanted. I was annoyed because the place I wanted to go was closed (which was supposed to be open) so I had found myself looking at Valentine’s Day cards with three men at the last minute. I didn’t really want candy-what I didn’t like was the feeling that I hadn’t prioritized getting my partner a card and he deserved better than that. It had brought up a lot of feelings about myself that I don’t like. I actually put the candy back on the shelf. That has never happened in my entire life. Dr. Nina calls it progress, not perfection and that is absolutely true. I used to think I binged on French Fries (or fill in the X food of the moment, wine, etc.) because I loved the taste or because I was an “emotional eater.” It’s so much more than that and Dr. Nina taught me that. Using her techniques, I am working to be kind to myself and give myself what I truly need. And of course, sharing with everyone I can that we need to avoid using “should” because we are shitting on ourselves: basically telling ourselves that we are not good enough because we “should” have known better. What Dr. Nina does is truly groundbreaking and unlike any other program I have ever been in. It is truly life changing.

Dr. Nina is so smart and amazing!

Dr. Nina has helped me understand that binge eating has nothing to do with food and everything to do with how I feel about myself. She’s helped me realize that I did the best I could at the time when I used my negative coping mechanisms. I’m learning to change my narrative which is helping me to feel more confident and be unapologetically me! I have had a life long eating disorder as my main coping mechanism and I’m getting better everyday. Thank you, Dr. Nina!

Dr nina

Dr. Nina helped a friend of mine who was struggling a lot with food and gained a lot of weight. She felt terrible about herself and was really depressed, and Dr. Nina helped her a lot. Now I feel like I have my friend back.

Life changing

Life changing! Not about food. Not about deprivation. Not about needing to be in a smaller body to matter. I am UNlearning all of the diet culture nonsense. I am learning to understand myself and my why's as to why I binge. This book and Dr Nina has changed the way I move through life. I am learning that undoing all I have learned takes time and I must be patient with the process. I am also experiencing all the ways I can show up for myself and how amazing that feels. Take your time, relearning to to respond to yourself, in loving ways. You are worth it! Just as this book is worth it! Life changing!!!!!

I finally have control

Where to start... over the years I've tried many supplements, a bunch of diets, even did prolonged fasting and yes I lost weight but always gained it back twice as fast. When I googled for "eating uncontrollably at night" I discovered I had all symptoms of binge eating disorder. After a bit more research I ordered Dr Nina's Binge Cure book and wow.
It was a page turner, I read it in two sittings. Even though the target audience is women I found everything relatable.
No complex lecture on brain chemistry here, everything was laid out in a simple and easy to follow way. Now I have tools that help me identify the source of my cravings and control them. It's like a video game cheat code. I still have to improve on coping mechanisms but have not binged since putting the tools to work. Thank you Dr. Nina!

Dr. Nina is an incredible psychoanalyst and has used her own extensive life experience to help a lot of people find themselves and remove whatever has been blocking them…. Her books are legend and her specialty in binge eating, again taken from her own extensive life experience is Definitely the leading research out there and more importantly extremely effective in treating people affected by it. Nina is a Titan in her field and one of the most beautiful human beings I have ever met.
