I have all my dogs registered under Donaldson Shepley. I have to say I cannot praise this practice enough. Their service and dedication is always 100%. Just recently I visited the vets with my girl in whelp. We needed assistance and from the first call to the reception, to help from the vet Chris and nurses. Then even assisted when we left. The care was exceptional. They couldn’t do enough for my dog and I. Everything tiny detail is thought about here.
There is not many veterinary practices like Donaldsons. That given the time and dedication to animals and their owners. On a plus side they don’t charge the earth either.
We will always be with this practice.

Had to take my dog to vets yesterday Niall the veterinarian at Donaldsons Birchencliffe branch was firstly extremely professional and reassuring she’s a 2 yr old Border Terrier and my life and would like to say would recommend this vet to anyone the first question wasn’t it it insured but all about the dog many thanks and and I would trust you with my life never mind the dog ❤️

Sadly I had to take one of my cats to Donaldsons in Huddersfield because she was extremely unwell. Unfortunately but not surprisingly it was her time to go for her forever sleep. The staff I dealt with could not have been any nicer. They tried so hard to make it a little easier and never did I feel like it was just a business transaction. They even brought tissues when they saw my son upset.

When it came time to pay, I didn’t feel that it was extortionate and again the staff were so helpful offering me the opportunity to get home and then call to pay (which I declined).

We went to Donaldsons vet when our cat had suspected cancer, we were given two alternative operations. One which involved removal of the cist and another which including testing for suspected cancer. The vet quoted us and on the day we arrived decided to choose the minor operation, when we mentioned this the vets demeanour changed and she stated what we were only offered was only a quote. The vet quoted us an extortionate price, that we had no choice but to accept because it was the morning of the operation and our cat was dying. Our Sushi died eventually but Donaldsons at Birchencliffe Huddersfield left us with very sour memory of our dear Sushi. Please consider that this is a business for profit, I consider them to be a combination of vets and pushy sales people that play on your emotions.

Visited Donaldsons in Shepley today. Very polite and friendly staff. Very competitive prices. Would definitely recommend and will be taking Luna there again if she needs a vet in the future.

Today a judge ruled that if you do not specify on the consent form, the specific reason for the consent and that this is the only reason, the vets have the authority to carry out any operations they wish. Even if you have been assured by the vet, why you are being asked to sign, legally you have no rights. Donaldsons can carry out as many procedures as they wish and charge you for them and you have signed to give them the legal authority to do this. They do not need to ask you first. You are completely at their mercy. WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT NOT NOT NOT RECOMMEND. I CANNOT STRESS THIS STRONGLY ENOUGH. DONALDSONS KEEP APPLYING TO HAVE MY REVIEWS REMOVED AS THEY DO NOT WANT THE TRUTH TO BE TOLD
