I wouldn’t even give Dometic one star – absolutely shocking service.

I bought a Dometic fridge, and after just a year the compressor failed and the fridge stopped cooling. I followed Dometic’s instructions and returned it to the retailer I purchased it from. They held onto it for over a month trying to repair it, before passing it on to another company acting on Dometic’s behalf.

That company then tried to blame the issue on my electrics, claimed the fridge was working, and sent me a bill completely out of the blue – no warning, no explanation. I refused to pay. After a lot of back and forth (with long delays between replies), Dometic finally agreed to return the fridge free of charge… but that wasn’t the end of it.

When the fridge finally came back (over three months later) it was in even worse condition: broken components, visible scratches, and marks all over it.

Absolutely disgraceful experience from start to finish. I expected much better from a company like Dometic. The fridge itself is great when it works, but everything else about this company, from repair process to customer service, is shocking! Avoid at all costs!

Avoid domitec

Bought a 3 way camping fridge 2 years ago after same one failed just out of warranty.
The new one failed after 22 months so call supplier and was give domitec contact details.
Was advised to take to there mobile engineer who found no fault but did admit there having problems.
Next time I came to use it it did not work and now out of warranty they will not help .
Made complaint but they don't care and there engineer will not help and has lied to domitec but when I sent screen shot of the conversation they will not acknowledge.
Just avoid at all cost as customer service is disgraceful and will not repair items under warranty and wait till out the till you nothing can be done .

Achtung: Null Service in der Garantiezeit

Achtung, Warnung vor Dometic-Produkten. Nachdem unser Kochfeld nach fast vier Jahren innen verbrannt und defekt war, habe ich bei Camping Wagner online in 11/2024 ein neues bestellt und bei meinem Wohnmobilhändler einbauen lassen. Jetzt sind unter dem rechten Gasbrenner Kabel verbrannt und die Piezo-Zündung funktioniert nicht mehr. Herr Norda von Dometic verweigert jetzt innerhalb der Garantiezeit den Service, weil das Produkt im Internet bestellt wurde. So etwas habe ich nocht nicht erlebt. Also Vorsicht bei Dometic-Prodiúkten.

Dometic's Zamp Solar Panel do not live up their reputation of quality and service

I travel in the summer months in remote mountain forest areas in the Northwest. I rely on the solar panels to keep the three lithium batteries in the RV charged.
The first solar panel I bought about 5 years ago was a 100-watt Renogy portable panel. I heard good things about Zamp brand of solar panels by Dometic. They were made in the US and came with a five-year warranty on the cords and electronics, as well as a 20-year warranty on the panel itself. I bought two 100-watt Obsidian portable panels for $1098.00
The Zamp solar panels were the biggest mistake I made in purchasing solar panels. I’ve had the panels for three years. I have replaced three of the 15-foot charging cables, two of which were done in the last 60 days, due to poor manufacturing quality. I have replaced the solar controller in the previous 60 days. I made multiple calls, sent numerous emails, and sent photos of the panels to request that the cables be replaced. The worst part was that the warranty representative informed me they had manufacturing issues with some of the cables, which were breaking down and failing to transmit energy from the panel to the batteries.
The best part is when I place all three 100-watt panels in the same position in the midday sun. The one Renogy panel will give me around 5.6 to 6.0 amps, and the two Zamp panels combined will provide me with 8.0 to 8.5 amps. I should be getting close to 10.0 amps The Zamp panels are poor at producing energy.
Zamp no longer offers the Obsidian panels on their website, and they have the rest of the portable panels discounted about 50%. What does that say about their portable panels?
Based on my experience with the poor quality of the cables, the pathetic warranty service, and the panel's ability to convert solar power to energy. I will be replacing the Zamp panels next summer

DometicC40/110 in Knaus Wohnwagen

Wir haben neuen Wohnwagen mit Dometic Kühlschrank C40/110 im Oktober 2023 gekauft. Mittlerweile haben wir den 2. Kühlschrank drin, der nicht funktioniert. Das Gefrierfach kann max zum kühlen benutzt werden. Normalerweise hat dieser Kühlschrank gar keinen Stern verdient. Wir campen schon seit 40 Jahren aber so ein schlechtes Produkt ist uns noch nie untergekommen. Wir können nur warnen: KAUFT AUF KEINEN FALL EIN FAHRZEUG DAS DIESEN KÜHLSCHRANK EINGEBAUT HAT!!!!

Normalerweise hätte ich für Dometic…

Normalerweise hätte ich für Dometic überhaupt keinen Stern gegeben, weil der Service und die Qualität so schlecht ist. Ich habe schon den zweiten Dometic Kühlschrank und von dem letzten hab ich jetzt das dritte Steuer Teil eingebaut. Service bekommt man überhaupt nicht man muss alles selber reparieren oder Monate lang warten eventuell .es kann doch nicht sein.das ein Kühlschrank der hat fast 3000 € kostet ständig kaputt ist und man absolut keinen Service bekommt.

TRANSPORTE EXPRES QUE NUNCA SE CUMPLIÓ

su transporte express de ups save el cual me costó 212 euros y compré 2.092,00 euros, no me sirvió de nada , el cual no llego en 24- 48 horas , y me sirvieron encima 1 bulto de 3 , lo cual faltarón 2, dejando a un cliente mio sin poder salir de vacaciones sin su material, cuando les envié un email de consulta y en su pagina anuncian el servicio express y lo cobran bastante caro ademas , encima de sus productos que no son baratos, lo cual deja mucho que desear como empresa y servicio, la atencion al cliente ha sido pesima, aqui estoy sin que ups ni FRONTRUNNER el cual me deriba a UPS y he llamado a esta y no aclara nada , en definitiva 2.092,00€ perdidos,
como una empresa puede tener tal descaro de venta y postventa ademas de irresponsabilidad.
Señores el tiempo pone a cada uno en su sitio por mucho que uno venda y despues de 25 años como vendedor , la seriedad y el compromiso es lo primero además del cliente, si no al final ..... A CERRAR.

Frigo Trivalente Dometic installato sul camper

Svegliati dal forte odore di gas durante la notte, con il gas tester trovo che proviene dalla manopola del frigo Dometic. Prima di farlo riparare chiedo all'assistenza Dometic Italia se per quel modello di frigo esistono tutti i ricambi ma mi viene risposto che sono informazioni che non vengono rilasciate ai consumatori ma che prima bisogna passare dall'assistenza e pagare tutta la riparazione e nel caso non ci fossero i ricambi si paga ugualmente, oltreché in quest'ultimo caso va sostituito con un frigo nuovo che attualmente costa delle migliaia di euro.

J’ai acheté un frigo dometic pour mon…

J’ai acheté un frigo dometic pour mon van , il est arrivé neuf à 400 euros et ne marchait pas !
J’ai du bataillé pour qu’il reparte en sav , je leur ai demandé un remboursement total car 2 mois après ce n’était pas réglé et au final ils m’en ont renvoyé un neuf mais abîmé !

Je suis tellement déçu et recommande absolument pas cette marque que ce soit pour la qualité que pour le sav .

Vous perdrez de l argent seulement !

3-way fridge failure, 6 months old, no resolution so far

Our 3-way fridge failed within less than 6 months of use in our brand new motorhome & even though the fridge is still in production, the spare part is on 'back order' meaning we have been/are unable to use our fridge during the summer months while we wait. No response provided after contacting them & we are extremely disappointed.

Wir haben vor zwei Jahren ein…

Wir haben vor zwei Jahren ein aufblasbares Zelt von dometic für 1.400 € bei der Firma doorout gekauft. Nach einem Jahr ist das Zelt beim Abspannen an zwei Stellen gerissen. Die Firma doorout ist oder war zwischenzeitlich insolvent. Es gab weder einen Austausch noch eine Gutschrift. Dometic nimmt sich davon nichts an. Das Zelt hat mittlerweile so viele Mängel (an drei Ecken gerissen. Reißverschlüsse kaputt etc.), dass wir uns jetzt ein Zelt einer anderen Firma kaufen. Also, Hände weg von dometic.

Auch eine Antwort von dometic, man soll den Support anschreiben, was nicht funktioniert, ändert nichts an der Tatsache, dass ich keinen Ersatz für mein Zelt bekomme.

Würde gerne noch schlechter bewerten

Würde gerne noch schlechter bewerten, dieses geht aber leider nicht. Diese Seite ist für meine Auffassung pure Abzocke.
Mein Fehler war dort was zu bestellen.
Aufgrund eines Fehlers wollte ich von meinem Wiederruf gebrauch machen, jedoch kommt vom Anbieter keine Antwort. Die Ware wird jetzt wohl in irgendeinem Lager vergammeln und ich kann hinter meinem Geld hinterher rennen. Achso, und versucht garnicht erst per Mail Kontakt aufzunehmen. Entwerfer bekommt man die Nachricht das noch zugestellt werden konnte, da das Postfach voll ist, oder die angegebenen Adressen sind ungültig!

Lasst lieber die Finger davon!

Kein Ersatzteilservice

Domenic verkauft, bietet aber keinen Ersatzteilservice. Dometic verweist auf den
örtliche Händler der aber hier
nur für dort gekaufte Wohnmobile Service anbietet. Ich benötige Ersatz für ein Dometic Fenster für meinen Camper. Dometic ist nicht in der Lage mir das Fenster zu liefern. Für diesen Service wären 0 Punkte fällig, weil Service nicht vorhanden. In meinem Camper sind leider mehrere Teile von Dominic verbaut, die ich nach und nach austauschen werde.

Kundenservice unter jeder Kritik

Ich wollte einen Ersatzteil für den ca. 4-5 Jahre alten Camper-Kühlschrank RC 10.4T 90. Die Antwort war nur, dass er ausverkauft sei und ich im Handel danach suchen sollte, auf die Frage, ob man mir einen Hinweis geben könnte, wo im Handel, wurde ich nur mit der Antwort abgespeist, dass man keine Liste hätte. Weder ein Tipp noch irgendein Lösungsansatz. Der Umgang mit mir war darüberhinaus mehr als unfreundlich.

Recently spent £750 on a CFX3 electric…

Recently spent £750 on a CFX3 electric cooler. The DC cable failed within first few weeks, resulting in spoiled food and shortened camping trip. Customer service acknowledged the fault but made no apology, and showed zero interest in either replacing the item at fault. They show complete contempt for their customers. If anything goes wrong, you are on your own.

Very poor customer service communication

I’m extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I’ve received. I first contacted your team on 23rd June regarding a part. I received a response on 26th June requesting the PNC number, which I provided on 19th July. It is now 31st July, and I have heard nothing back.

This lack of communication and delay is unacceptable.

Dometic's customer service is abysmal

Dometic's customer service is abysmal. Good luck trying to find an intelligible drawing on their web site or locating a vendor for spare parts.
