Shout out to Dimov Tax. I first used their services 2 tax seasons ago when my previous tax accountant ghosted me. They are professional and diligent in their response. They quickly filed an extension for me and they explained my business taxes to me. They are always quick to answer questions and provide guidance. Everybody that I spoke with at the company was very accommodating from George to Liliya to Sal. I’ve had a great experience so far. They worked on my cost segregation studies and were able to save me money on my investments while also ensuring that I’m not over paying taxes on the equity from my employer. My taxes are complicated because I also have an unusual mix of investments. I certainly recommend them for anybody that has a non-standard situation

Great tax service!
This is the second year that I have used Dimov to prepare my taxes and once again, their service was expectational. From start to finish, they made a stressful and sometimes overwhelming task of preparing tax returns seamless and carefree. Everything was done through email/electronically which I found very convenient, and the team was always there to answer any of my questions in a very timely manner.

I’m excited to write this review for my long-term accountant George and the rest of his team! We’ve worked together now for four years, and I could not be more happy and satisfied with a quick turnaround, patience answering my questions, and ability to tackle the most complex situations. I initially approached them with a letter from a state that I had no idea what to do with. My accountant at the time was not interested in helping and I suspect that they really only worked during Tax season. George’s team, on the other hand, works year-round and they handled my case in the middle of July when I was in a panic over the letter. Since then, I have referred a couple of my friends and they have also had an excellent experience. I’ll continue to recommend and use them going forward.

Amazing team
The team here works relentlessly - they follow up and seem to work faster than I do (and trust me, I'm quick!). If I do not have any questions, my taxes are done in 2-3 emails and MAYBE a quick call. They are not exactly easy, but thankfully they do not change too too much each year. In any case, I love working with them!

I had an exceptional experience working with George Dimov and his team. They were incredibly persistent, thorough, and proactive in helping me file my taxes in a timely manner. Their response times were impressively fast, and any questions I had were met with clear guidance and quick support.
George and his team also caught something my previous CPA completely missed: I had stopped living in DC in 2023, but my employer continued withholding DC taxes in addition to VA taxes after updating my address. Patrick Hayes and the Dimov team's expertise were a real life saver recently. I suddenly received notice (in Sep 25) from the IRS about a problem with a 2553 filing back in 23. Officially we were beyond all of the deadlines for fixing the problem. Patrick was familiar with these types of situations and had the right cites and language to address the matter effectively, bringing the situation to a successful resolution. The work environment was highly stressful and, in my experience, poorly managed. Communication from leadership often came across as aggressive rather than supportive, and feedback was frequently delivered through public criticism or long calls focused on mistakes rather than solutions. This created a culture of fear rather than learning.
Training was extremely limited. After watching a few recorded videos, employees were expected to perform at a very high level immediately. During peak season, workloads were excessive, with expectations to handle hundreds of tax returns while also taking on responsibilities far beyond the original role. In practice, the position required acting not only as a tax preparer, but also as a bookkeeper, payroll specialist, HR support, recruiter, salesperson, consultant, and administrative assistant, without the structure, staffing, or compensation to match.
There was little recognition for strong performance or revenue contributions. Positive results were largely ignored, while errors, sometimes minor, were emphasized repeatedly and revisited weeks later. This made it difficult to feel valued or motivated, regardless of effort or results.
From the client side, internal disorganization often led to frequent reassignment of accounts. When issues arose, the solution was often refunds, free consultations, or additional promises rather than addressing underlying process problems.
If you are considering working here or hiring this firm, I strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about training, workload expectations, support structure, and turnover. My experience was overwhelming and unsustainable, and I would not choose to work under these conditions again.

Very complicated tax case
The service they provide is amazing. I have a very complicated tax case as I’m filing both in Italy and the US, I also have a few rental properties and RSUs so it’s as bad as it gets when it comes to taxes… I was struggling big time before I discovered DimovTax, they make it so easy and now I never have to worry about penalties and not filing on time :)
