SUPER DISAPPOINTED: Do not receive the product + Terrible customer service; Just buy DHC from Amazon
I placed the order back in July & didn't receive the product for weeks, after which I mailed them - after many automated messages & back & forth, I get the response that it's been stuck due to an "unexpected courier pickup error" & eventually it was cancelled. They offered me to refund or reorder - unfortunately I choose reorder, thinking to give them a second chance since I have Japanese customer service high regards. Again I didn't receive my order for weeks & when I reached out to them they said it's already been delivered?? When I asked them for more information on this - they just put me through the automated messages again - All this took 3 months & in the end I just gave up. The most disappointing part was - they never proactively reached out to me or tried to resolve my concerns - it was just following up on them constantly.

I started using DHC skincare in 2007. I was very happy until yesterday. I placed an order in November and really liked the one sample I received so I decided to replace my normal moisturizer with the new sampled one. I sent the unopened Virgin Olive Oil back and received a call that they could not process the return as they had a 60-day return policy and I had exceeded that. I spoke to a customer service representative, the customer service department head, and Austin, whom I assume is the head (?) of the franchise here in the US. The answer was no, they would not honor the return. Austin did offer me “a deal”. I could order the new product ($53) and he would give me free shipping. That’s it. It did not include credit for the returned item ($44). Then to add insult to injury, if I wanted the bought and paid for product back, I have to pay $6.36 for shipping. I was speechless and asked to be removed from their mailing list, to which Austin said fine. As I see it, knowing that cosmetics can have up to a 700% markup, they just lost a 16-year customer for, I’m guessing, less than $10. Wow! Yes, I missed the deadline by less than a month, but even Amazon makes exceptions.

I’ve been using DHC for years;in particular,their silky cotton cosmetic pads.I have sensetive eyes,and removing eye make-up with cotton wool or any other material ,made my eyes
sore and stinging.Went online and
discovered these quite by accident.
They are a box of 80, cosmetic pads,made of a silk blend wrapped around 100% natural cotton.They’re
very soft and gentle,and I have no allergic reactions to the material they’re
made of.I love them;they’re really
inexpensive ,sold by a lot of online
cosmetic companies,and I’d thoroughly
recommend them to you gals who have
sensetive eyes.

I started using DHC in 2003 & bought a few things every year to keep my 10% discount status. Then, in late 2018, the Japanese government started whale hunting again. I decided to boycott all Japanese products in protest. (The entire world worked for decades to bring those magnificent world citizens back from the brink of extinction, then the government of Japan decides unilaterally to start killing them again.) It's sad that Japan-based companies must suffer a boycott because of the actions of their government, but it's the only thing that'll hopefully make them reconsider. The only thing I missed from the DHC line was the face-washing oil & I've since found a very acceptable substitute.

I am in love with DHC skincare! It told me my products would ship and be here in about 7 days, but it came in 3 business days which I did not expect! I use their deep cleansing oil and face wash powder and it has cleared and smoothed my skin so much within a few days.
