This was the first time we had left Monty with anyone since he became blind and deaf due to diabetes. Carey immediately put our minds at rest and we knew he was in safe hands. We were able to enjoy our time away without worrying, especially as we received lovely updates and photos everyday. Monty got plenty of cuddles and fuss and the minimum disruption by staying in his own home. The whole process of booking and meeting Marie and Carey was professional and reassuring.

Well, what can I say about Marie that will do her justice. Scampy and Daisy have just completed their 2 night trial and what an absolute success. After a few barks and the Pups wondering, who is this new human in our house, Daisy didn’t waste any time in giving out kisses and Scampy judges on ball throwing skills, which were clearly acceptable to him. After spending some time with Marie and the dogs, I knew they were in great company. Scampy was diagnosed with Diabetes 12 months ago, he’s a real fuss pot eater, both pups sleep in their human bed, which not everybody is ok with and I never thought I would find someone I trust leaving them with, but also someone who will give them the same amount of love and attention I do, but I can safely say Marie ticked all the boxes in that department too. Thank you Marie for treating my babies, like your own. I loved all the photos, updates and could see they were having the best time by all the cuddles and washes you got. Most importantly you knew everything there was to know about Diabetes, you’ve been through it, and was completely confident in administering Insulin and know what to look out for. Scampy & Daisy can’t wait to have you come stay again very soon for lots of playtime, cuddles and licks. I wish I found you last year, best and easiest decision I made in booking Dexter & Mee, best pet sitter and highly recommend Marie 🐶🐶💕❤️

Our second sitting from Marie and Carey at Dexter and Mee. We have a miniature dachshund with diabetes. He’s also had cataract surgery and requires eye drops daily. He’s also suffered from Pancreatitis and has to follow a strict diet. We also have an elderly dog who is deaf. Both dogs are so happy and settled with Marie and Carey. They are kept to our routine so the dogs don’t get stressed or confused. There has been no problems with the injections or eye drops. The daily updates and photos are extremely reassuring and Marie will proactively contact you if she has any questions or concerns. She noticed one of our dogs had a lump on the side of her mouth and messaged to see if we wanted her to take the dog to the vet. We know our dogs are in safe, professional hands. This is a very different experience to leaving your dog with a friend as your dog is their sole focus whilst you are away. I wouldn’t leave our dogs with anyone else.

Carey is absolutely amazing, she took the best care our of three doggies while we recently went away for 6 days. They can bark when they are nervous but Carey took it in her stride and reassured them and gave them the time and care they needed. The updates were so informative, funny and reassuring and I looked forward to them each day, finding out what my boys were up to. I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter and have already booked in lots more dates. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Carey and Dexter and Mee. The behind the scenes work of Marie should also be mentioned. The process was slick and easy and she runs the business like a well oiled machine.

Marie was amazing with my dog , who is very anxious. I couldn’t believe how quickly she put him at ease. She was so patient with him, giving him lots of attention , playing with his toys and fussing him. He was soon relaxed and happy.
My dog has serious eye problems and needs eye medication three times a day . He gets very stressed about this resulting in him becoming incredibly difficult to handle. The last few years has been so difficult because of this. Marie was fantastic. She managed to administer his medications without any upset at all. A moment I never thought would happen. He was golden. I was so emotional. By the end of the afternoon he was kissing Marie and snuggling up to her. I can’t recommend her highly enough. I feel that I can now ( for the first time in years)make some plans knowing that my precious boys needs will be met and that he will be cared for and loved so much by Marie.

Carey Halliday met with me when I was needing a sitter for my boy Duke who is very anxious about meeting new people. She manged to gain his trust really quickly and he really trusted her. I would highly recommend her and I would definitely be using her again and Duke would agree with me

I can’t recommend Marie highly enough- especially if you have a dog with diabetes. My border terrier has multiple health issues including diabetes and this requires careful management. This is the first time I have left him since being diagnosed. From the start, Marie completely put my mind at ease. Her knowledge and confidence was so reassuring and it was clear to see Pepe was in safe hands. Marie was fantastic with his insulin routine, feeding schedule and administering his other meds. What really stood out were the pupdates and photos - they honestly made such a difference. Seeing Pepe happy and relaxed meant the world to me and allowed me to properly switch off. It’s such a relief to have found someone who truly understands diabetic care. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Marie again and can wholeheartedly recommend ❤️

We had Marie again for a weeks holiday abroad, she looked after our Ronnie with such love and care and also our home too, to find someone you can trust is so important and we have certainly found that in Marie, she gives regular updates with lots of photos, she's so confident in giving him his injections and eye drops and he had some lovely walks, we can then relax knowing his in safe hands.... Highly recommend

We can’t thank Marie enough for stepping in last minute and taking such wonderful care of our newly diagnosed diabetic dog (Blossom).

Marie was incredibly attentive, calm, and confident in managing Blossoms needs, which gave us complete peace of mind. Marie provided frequent updates and lots of photos whilst we were away.

Marie stayed at our house which we were nervous about initially, but there was no need. Marie treated our house with respect and arrived fully self sufficient, and even put our bins out!

When we returned Marie also gave us lots of information and advice about managing diabetes, which really helped.

It’s clear Marie truly cares, and we felt so comforted knowing Blossom was in such loving and capable hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Marie, especially for dogs who need extra medical care.

We had Marie to look after our boys for 2 nights and they had the best time! Marie came over to meet Jez who is a nervous dog before hand and we have never seen him respond so quickly to someone he didn’t know, this gave us total reassurance in Marie. We got regular updates from the boys (Marie helped them with their spelling!) and they just had a chiller time with her. Would highly recommend and use again

Marie recently dog sat for our dog Axle who was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease which affected his spinal cord and caused him to lose use of his back legs. Luckily he’s regained some use of his legs through strong medication, physio and lots of love!

Let me tell you, Marie is absolutely AMAZING! She made us feel so at ease and absolutely nothing is too much for her! We cannot recommend her enough! If you ever need a dog sitter, look no further than Marie! She clearly knows her stuff and is so experienced with dogs with extra needs!

We’ve just booked her again for November and we already know Axle can’t wait to spend time with her again!

We have used Marie (Dexter and Mee) twice and have booked her in for a third time. She is brilliant with our dog, Sid, who has several health issues including Diabetes and she manages them all expertly and with great empathy. Sid really is at ease with her. Our daily text/video updates are informative and fun.
We would highly recommend Marie if you want a stress free break.
